CSF844 – Translucent Florals

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. Here’s a gorgeous fall color combo for you to use!

TRANSLUCENT FLORALS                                                                              

I wanted to do some fall flowers using this color combination, so I started looking through my stash.  I ended up combining two die sets…Translucent Florals and Changing Leaves…both online exclusives…to make this card!  I had to go and verify that Translucent Florals was still available to purchase!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Copper Clay cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Beige was embossed with the Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder and added to the front.
  • A 2 x 5-1/4 piece of Sweet Days of Autumn Designer Paper (Online Exclusive) was added to the left side.
  • The flower petals were cut from Copper Clay cardstock using the Translucent Florals Dies, then sponged along the edges and centers with Copper Clay Ink and adhered together.  I made one large and two small flower clusters.  The centers are Wild Wheat sponged with Copper Clay Ink.
  • The leaves were cut from Wild Wheat using the Translucent Florals Dies and sponged with Copper Clay Ink.
  • All the flowers and leaves were assembled on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The skeleton leaves and branches were cut from Early Espresso using the Changing Leaves Dies, then added tucked under the flowers on the front.
  • The greeting from Translucent Florals was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on a 3/4 x 2 piece of Basic Beige cardstock and the end cut at an angle.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some rust Faux Glass Dots were added to the center of the flowers.

Isn’t that a pretty card for a fall birthday?  I was so pleased with how it turned out!  I wouldn’t normally think of flowers in these colors!  OK, go check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did with this challenge over on Create with Stamping Friends.

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  What a pretty color combination we have for you this week…perfect for Spring!

TRANSLUCENT FLORALS

These soft colors are perfect for a floral image, don’t you think?  I pulled out one of my favorites, Translucent Florals for this card.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Bubble Bath cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 1 x 5-1/2 piece of yellow stripe Lighter Than Air Designer Paper was centered on the front.
  • The 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Basic White cardstock was cut with the Perennial Postage Dies and stamped with the Translucent Florals greeting in Memento Black Ink.  It was added to a 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 piece of Soft Sea Foam cardstock, then added to the front.
  • The large flower was stamped with Bubble Bath Ink, the smaller with Lemon Lolly Ink and the leaves with Soft Sea Foam Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Translucent Florals Dies.  They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Five Rainbow Adhesive Backed Dots in yellow and pink were added to the background and flower center.

Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration challenge is a gorgeous blue flower bouquet!

 

TRANSLUCENT FLORALS

I pulled out a favorite set from the Annual Catalog because the blossoms in the inspiration photo reminded me of this Translucent Florals set!  I added the new SAB Embossing Folder to go with it!

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
    • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Boho Blue cardstock was embossed with the Softly Sophisticated Embossing Folder and added to the front.
    • The half flower from Translucent Florals was inked five times on with with Balmy Blue Ink, then sponged the centers with Boho Blue Ink and stamped on Basic White.  They were cut with the Translucent Florals Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The leaves were stamped with Soft Sea Foam Ink on Basic White and colored with Light Soft Sea Foam Stapin’ Blends for a little more depth.  They were cut in half and added at the top and bottom of the floral bunch.
    • The greeting from Translucent Florals was stamped with Boho Blue on 2/3 x 2 Basic White cardstock and the ends cut at an angle.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • Iridescent Rhinestones were added to the centers of the flowers for a little bling.

CCM Saturday Blog Hop – True Colors

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  For the next few weeks, we will be featuring songs that have color names in their title!  This week’s song is “True Colors” by Cyndi Lauper.  Our cards will be using ALL the new In Colors at once!

TRANSLUCENT FLORALS

I wasn’t quite sure how I wanted to use all the colors, so ended up using both all the inks and all the cardstock colors on my card.  Not exactly how I pictured it, but it turned out ok.  lol!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Boho Blue cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the leaf cluster in Translucent Florals in each color randomly in the background.
  • 1/4 x 5-1.4 strips of each In Color were added to the center.
  • The greeting was stamped with Pebbled Path Ink on Moody Mauve cardstock and cut with the Something Fancy label die.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The leaf cluster was stamped with Boho Blue on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Translucent Florals Dies.  It was added next to the label with Stampin[‘ Dimensionals.
  • The small and large flowers were cut from Wild Wheat cardstock and added to the bottom of the leaf cluster with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Three Pebbled Path 2023-25 In Color Dots were added to the flower centers and the label.

CCM Saturday Blog Hop – Mellow Yellow

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  For the next few weeks, our themes will feature songs that have color names in their title!  This week’s song is “Mellow Yellow” by Donovan.  Our cards will have a shade of yellow theme!

TRANSLUCENT FLORALS

I used two shades of yellow on my card…I was shocked how much darker Daffodil Delight is compared to Lemon Lolly!  I guess I hadn’t put the two of them together before now!  I also used my new Wanted to Say Dies…LOVE them!  Hope they come out with a Christmas edition…wouldn’t that be fun with Let it Snow, Merry Christmas, Season’s Greetings, Peace on Earth, Silent Night…I could go on and on!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lemon Lolly cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the Translucent Florals leaf branch several times using Gray Granite Ink along the left side.
  • The small flower bud in Translucent Florals stamp set was stamped four times with Lemon Lolly Ink and three times with Daffodil Delight Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Translucent Florals Dies.  They were added to the leaves with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Feel Better Soon from Wanted To Say Dies was cut from Lemon Lolly cardstock and the shadow from Gray Granite cardstock.  I love how the gray really does look like a shadow!  It was popped up with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some yellow Adhesive Backed Solid Gems were added to the background for a little bling.

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  We have a wonderful color challenge for you to try this week!

TRANSLUCENT FLORALS

Definitely a more muted color scheme to use this week for our challenge!  I still managed to use florals, even without a green color!  lol!  This set is a new set that will be available in the Holiday Catalog.  Demos have a Creatively Now Day coming up and were able to preorder it to use for that day!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Moody Mauve cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Gray Granite cardstock was cut with the Stitched Whimsey Die to create a stitched border.
  • The Translucent Florals flower blossoms were stamped with Moody Mauve Ink, the leaf cluster with Misty Moonlight Ink, the stems with Gray Granite Ink on Basic White cardstock, then cut with the Translucent Florals Dies.  All were assembled on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The blue Tinsel Four Pack Gems were added to the flower centers and background.
  • The greeting was stamped with Misty Moonlight on 3/4 x 2 piece of Basic White cardstock, cut at a flag end and tucked under the flowers.
