Hello everyone!  Happy Thursday!  It’s time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge!  This week we have a pretty color combination.  I knew right away that I wanted to use flowers…it is spring, right?  I was pleasantly surprised how fast winter went by this year!  Of course, it helped that I spent a little time with my girlfriend, Annette, who lives in Florida!  lol!

 

Here’s what I did with the color challenge using Forever Blossoms stamp set, Cherry Blossom Dies, and Stitched So Sweetly Dies!  I sure hope these Stitched So Sweetly dies are in the new annual catalog…I’m using them ALL the time!

Stampin’ Details:

• The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
• On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock, adhere with Stampin’ Dimensionals to give it a 3D look.
• A 2-1/4 x 4-1/2 piece of Birthday Bonanza DSP was added to the background towards the right side.
• A 1/2 x 5-1/4 piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock was added on top.
• The largest label in Stitched So Sweetly Dies was cut from Grapefruit Grove cardstock.
• The Happy Birthday greeting from Peaceful Moments was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock, then cut with the next smaller label in the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  They were both added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• The large flower stem and single flower from Forever Blossoms stamp set were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White, then cut with the Cherry Blossom Dies.
• The bottom portion of the large floral image was cut off and all flowers colored with Daffodil Delight, Coastal Cabana and Grapefruit Grove Ink Refills and AquaPainter.  They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• The Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots were added to the flower centers and label.

It’s Thursday again and you know what that means…it’s Create with Connie and Mary’s Thursday challenge!  We have a cool color combination for you to try!

I decided to use my Forever Blossoms stamp set because these colors are in the Parisian Blossoms Designer Paper!

Stampin’ Details:

• The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pool Party cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
• On top the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pool Party has been embossed with the Parisian Flourish Embossing Folder.
• A 1-3/4 x 5-1/4 piece of the script print in Parisian Blossoms Designer Paper was added down the right side.
• The So Sweetly Stitched Rectangle Frame was cut from Whisper White and stamped the greeting in Forever Blossoms with Memento Black Ink in the upper left corner.  It was added to the front.
• A 1/4 x 3 piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock was added across the front of the rectangle, cutting the ends at an angle.
• The top portion of the flowers were stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Whisper White and colored with Light and Dark Petal Pink, Light Cherry Cobbler and Light and Dark Pool Party Stampin’ Blends.  It was cut with the Cherry Blossom Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• A trio of Champagne Rhinestone Jewels were added to the rectangle background.

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week’s inspiration is some pretty paper flowers!

I suspected that Mary would probably use the Peaceful Moments Poppies on her card, so I wanted to go in a different directions for mine!  I used the Forever Blossoms stamp set and multicolored flowers!  I’m always drawn to the trays of mixed color flowers in the spring!  I always have a hard time choosing just one or two colors for my flower pots.

Stampin’ Details:

• • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 piece of Whisper White cardstock is embossed with the Coastal Weave Embossing Folder and added on top.
  • A 1-1/4 x 3 piece of Flirty Flamingo cardstock was added to the background.
  • A 3/4 x 5-1/2 strip of Shaded Spruce cardstock was added across the front.
  • The flower branch from Forever Blossoms was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock, then colored with the following Light & Dark Stampin’ Blends:  Rococo Rose, Flirty Flamingo, Purple Posy, Mango Melody and Shaded Spruce.
  • The flower branch was cut with the Cherry Blossom Dies and added to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Wink of Stella was added to the flowers.
  • A piece of yellow Baker’s Twine (FREE SAB) was tied in a bow on the stem and a trio of the Sequins in that package added to the background.
  • The greeting was stamped on a 1/2 x 3-1/4 piece of Whisper White and added to the Shaded Spruce layer on the front.
