IM240 – Christmas Season

It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week is a pretty piece of pottery…not sure if it is a vase or a drinking glass but I love the leaves design.

CHRISTMAS SEASON

I went searching for a stamp set that had leaves similar to the inspiration piece and decided to use Christmas Season for a non-Christmas looking card!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Orchid Oasis cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was stamped with one leaf stem randomly full-strength with Orchid Oasis. The second leaf stem was stamped off randomly with Orchid Oasis Ink for a lighter version.d The berries were stamped with Daffodil Delight Ink randomly in the background to fill in.
- A 1-1/2 x 4 piece of In Color 6×6 DSP was added to a 1-3/4 x 4 piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock and added to the front.
- Some Orchid Oasis 1/8″ Ribbon was tied in a large bow and added towards the left side of the DSP.
- The greeting from Happiness Abounds was stamped with Orchid Oasis Ink on Basic White and cut with the Seasonal Labels Die. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Three yellow Glossy Dots were added to the background.

Creatively Simple 13 – Thankful

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Every month Mary and I will pick a theme…this month it is “Thankful” and we each create a simple card every week using that theme! It’s SO appropriate for this time of year!

CHRISTMAS SEASON

Who remembers doing one page wonders? Where you create an entire sheet of randomly stamped images to create “designer paper”. We had to do that a lot since we didn’t have our wonderful selection of designer papers like we do now! That is how I created my background below. The entire 8-1/2 x 11 sheet was stamped, then cut up into sections…in this case, 4 x 5-1/4 pieces to make 4 cards.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The one-sheet wonder 8-1/2 x 11 Basic White cardstock was randomly stamped with the Christmas Season Stamp Set, then trimmed to a 4 x 5-1/4 piece that was added on top. Colors used were Garden Green, Old Olive, Shaded Spruce, Real Red, Soft Sea Foam, and Early Espresso Inks.
A 3/4 x 4 piece of Real Red cardstock was stamped with the Heartfelt Wishes greeting in Early Espresso Ink, then adhered on the front towards the top.
A trio of Holiday Rhinestones were added in the background.

How SIMPLE is this? I have no suggestions on how to make it easier, other than stamping the greeting directly in the background, too! IM204 – Christmas Season

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week we have a lovely wreath for our inspiration piece! I couldn’t decide on fall or Christmas, but decided to make my card look like the magnolia wreaths popular at Christmas!

I’ve used Sparkle of the Season a LOT this year already, so instead I wanted to make a wreath from branches using Christmas Season Stamp Set!

CHRISTMAS SEASON

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Mossy Meadow cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Heartwarming Hugs Designer Paper.
- On a 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 piece of Basic White cardstock, I penciled in 1 1-1/2 circle. I used that as a template to stamp my first round of Christmas Season branches with Pear Pizzazz Ink, spacing them slightly around the circle. I went around the circle again with Mossy Meadow Ink overlapping the Pear Pizzazz branches.
- The two sets of greenery were punched from Very Vanilla cardstock with the Symmetrical Stems Border Punch and adhered to the bottom with Mini Glue Dots.
- Two solid pinecones were cut with the small Christmas Pinecones dies from Early Espresso cardstock and the detail pinecones from Crumb Cake cardstock, then adhered together. The tops were sponged with White Craft Ink. They were added to the bottom of the wreath with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The Black & White Gingham Ribbon was colored with the Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blends, then tied in a small bow and added above the pinecones with a Mini Glue Dot.
- Happiest Holidays from Heartfelt Wishes Stamp Set was stamped with Mossy Meadow Ink at the top of the Basic White layer.
- Some white Elegant Faceted Gems were added to the wreath

CCMC684 – Christmas Season

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. Today’s color combination was uniquely challenging…mostly because what In Color would I use? I love them ALL this year!

CHRISTMAS SEASON BUNDLE

I have used Soft Succulent a LOT since it came out, so that is the In Color I picked to feature with the neutrals of Crumb Cake and Early Espresso.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Early Espresso cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 piece of Tidings of Christmas Designer Paper was added to the right side of a 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.
A 3/8 x 5-1/4 piece of Early Espresso cardstock hides the seam.
The greeting from Christmas to Remember was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock and cut with the Christmas Labels Dies. It is popped upon the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The pinecones from Christmas Season stamp set were stamped with Crumb Cake and Early Espresso Inks, the pine branches with Soft Succulent Ink and the greenery with Crumb Cake Ink on Basic White, then all cut with the Christmas Labels Dies.
They were assembled around the label and popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Gold Shimmer Ribbon was tied in a bow and added above the greenery.
A trio of Soft Succulent In Color Jewels were added to the background.
