Isn't this SOOOOO cute? I love seeing things and knowing that I could re-create them with my Stampin' Up! products! It just gives me better sense of VALUE that I have for Stampin' Up! They give us such a variety of products to use! When I saw the new Floral Frame Framelits in the New Catalog, I just knew that lots of flowers would be popping up in my future. Here is the first project I did using them! And…that colorful Floral District Designer Paper is just too fun! See the fun little bird from Betsy's Blossoms telling you to SMILE! lol! I crack myself up some times!

Wouldn't this be perfect as a mirror in a young teen's room? Or place a photo over the mirror section. Use Designer Paper that coordinates with your room! So many different ways to use it. It started out just as an unfinished wood frame mirror and I quickly transformed it into a decorative piece! (Note: I have vellum over the mirror section so that the photo would turn out!)

Floral Frames Framelits

My card today is giving you a SNEAK PEEK of my Preview Project tomorrow! I used one of the flowers I had left over from it. But…you'll need to come back tomorrow and see!

I started with a base of Tangerine Tango and layered on Whisper White and then the lovely pattern from Floral District DSP (I need to order another package of this already!) I made my flower using the Floral Frame Framelits from Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight and Old Olive for the leaves (I cut two of the petals off). I also embossed with the Chevron Impressions Folder. In the center is the flower from Betsy's Blossoms that I stamped in Rich Razzleberry and punched with the 1" Circle Punch. There is a green Glimmer Brad in the center, holding the tiny Ticket Punch Duo in it. I had stamped the word "one" from Fabulous Phrases. I then stamped the other words, Fabulous, Beautiful and Friend in Rich Razzleberry on Whisper White and punched with the Ticket Duo Punch. I wrapped the Seam Binding Daffodil Delight Ribbon around and tied a knot on the front. The flower layers all have Stampin' Dimensionals between them for lots of depth!

In addition to celebrating the new Create with Connie and Mary Edition starting up, there is another celebration today! HAPPY BIRTHDAY…to ME!!! Yes…today is my birthday and I made myself a birthday card! Well, not really, this was one of the cards we did for my Technique Class last night! It does have my favorite color…yellow…and I love flowers…and this set is just TOO CUTE for a birthday card! So…it will be my birthday card to myself! lol!

I started with a base of Daffodil Delight. On the Whisper White…look closely…do you see it? I used the Piercing Template on it in the background! I'm going to LOVE that set of templates, I know it! I also added a strip of Floral District Designer Paper across the top. I stamped the flower on scrap Whisper White…I used the Dauber Painting Technique on it with colors of Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie and Real Red! It is punched out with the 2 1/2" Circle Punch and popped up in the pierced area. I added a Real Red bird and two Lucky Limeade leaf clusters. A rhinestone for the bird's eye and he is holding the Itty Bitty Banner with the Happy Birthday greeting in his mouth!

Like I said…cute, huh?

I love this new Elegant Butterfly Punch so much better than the last one. It is more realistic, I guess! I took last year's sketch from Create with Connie and Mary and refurbished it with new Floral District Designer Paper and the new Elegant Butterfly punch!

I used colors from the Floral District Designer Paper…I had a bunch of scraps left over from an upcoming project (hint, hint!) I started with a base of Lucky Limeade and layered on Whisper White that I ran thru the Big Shot with the Chevron Folder. I punched out different patterns of DSP with the Postage Punch and popped them up on the front with Stampin' Dimensionals. I ruffled some Baja Breeze Seam Binding Ribbon along the bottom and added one of the new Vintage Faceted Buttons, tied with Lucky Limeade Bakers' Twine.

I added two of the Elegant Butterflies, punched from Baja Breeze and sponged with Baja Breeze Ink. I added Pearls for their bodies and attached with Stampin' Dimensionals. Finally, I added Itty Bitty Banners, cut with the Framelit, to tuck in on the front.

Love this whimsical looking card and hope you enjoy it, too!

Everyday Eleanor Hydrangeas

We are featuring "Fabulous Florals" from the New Catalog 2012-13 for our Preview Week topic! That includes Stippled Blossoms, Summer Silhouettes, Blooming with Kindness, Betsy's Blossom, Everything Eleanor, and Decorate a Daisy stamp sets. Each week we will be focusing on a different topic in the New Catalog…next week is Nature!

So I pulled out Everything Eleanor again and received my inspiration from my beautiful blooming Hydrangea bushes out front of my house! They are FULL of flowers and SO pretty. I need to take a photo of them QUICK while they are so gorgeous!

The base of my card is Midnight Muse. I layered on Baja Breeze that I stamped the swirl design in Everything Eleanor with Baja Breeze Ink. I added a strip of the butterfly print from Patio Party Designer Paper. For the focal flower, I stamped the small flower several times with Midnight Muse Ink on Baja Breeze cardstock. I cut them out and layered them with Stampin' Dimensionals on a scrap 1 3/4" Circle. I added the flower to a square of Whisper White and layered that on Primrose Petals cardstock that I placed on the front of the card!

Can you tell what I used for the leaves? Yep! I punched the Butterfly punch from Old Olive, cut it in half and stamped the small floral image in Old Olive on it, then curled them and tucked them behind the Hydrangea blossom. I also punched a butterfly (I LOVE that NEW butterfly punch!) from Summer Starfruit, crumpled it up and sponged with Summer Starfruit Ink. Then placed it on the card with a Stampin' Dimensional and added a trio of Pearls to the body. FInally, I stamped the greeting from Petite Pairs in Midnight Muse on Old Olive and cut the end in a Flag.

To celebrate, I pulled out my Everyday Eleanor set again and did up this card!

I took my colors from the Patio Party Designer Paper and made the base card Baja Breeze. I layered on Whisper White and then the strip of Patio Party DSP at the top. I stamped the medallion from Everyday Eleanor with Baja Breeze and cut it out. Then I stamped Get Well Soon from Delightful Dozen in Midnight Muse on top of it.

I stamped two larger flowers and two smaller flowers in Midnight Muse and Primrose Petals (stamped off to lighten) and cut them out. I added green Glimmer Brads in the center, then popped them up along side the medallion. I wrapped the Rose Red Seam Binding Ribbon around and tied a knot at the top of the medallion.

CCMC205 Bootiful Occasions

Another Thursday! Where does time go? This week has FLOWN by! We have a fun sketch challenge for you this week over on Create with Connie and Mary! Hope you play along! The Bootiful Occasions stamp set was the FIRST on my MUST HAVE list…it grabbed my attention right away in the new catalog and I couldn't wait to get it. The little rubber boots are TOO cute, and I love the Halloween and Christmas ones! Even the western boot will be useful for manly cards!

I grabbed my colors from the Floral District Designer Paper…Tangerine Tango and Melon Mambo…puts me in mind of last year's wedding! lol! Anyway…the base of the card is Melon Mambo. I layered on Whisper White that I ran thru the Big Shot with the Chevron Impressions Folder (LOVE it!) I put the Designer Paper strip across the bottom of the Tangering Tango cardstock, then added the new White 1/4 Stitched RIbbon to hide the seam. I punched a 2 1/2" Circle of Whisper White. I stamped the boot in Basic Black, then colored it with Melon Mambo and Tangerine Tango Stampin' Write Markers. I stamped Happy Bootday in Basic Black on the 2 1/2" circle. They are all popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

For accents, I used the Scallop Border Punch with Melon Mambo cardstock to go under the Tangerine Tango cardstock along the top. Finally I added a Regals Cajun Craze button tied with White Bakers Twine.
