It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge!  Such a pretty color combination for you to try this week!

CUTEST CREW

I haven’t used these little birds in the Cutest Crew stamp set, so thought some colorful birds would be fun!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lost Lagoon cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Lost Lagoon was embossed with the Lazy Daisy Embossing Folder and added to the front.
  • Two 1/2 x 4 trips of Golden Glow and Highland Heather cardstocks were added to the front.
  • The Scalloped Blooms circle was cut from Basic White cardstock using the die and stamped with the greeting in Basic Black Hybrid Ink.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The row of birds was stamped with Basic Black Hybrid Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock and colored with Golden Glow, Highland Heather and Lost Lagoon Stampin’ Blends.  They were cut with the Die and added to the bottom of the scallop circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added at the bottom right of the birds.

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is butterflies!

CUTEST CREW

I looked and looked for butterflies in my current stash of stamps.  These Cutest Crew butterflies were so little that I didn’t think I could make an entire background with them…then I thought about a butterfly wreath!  It worked!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Cute as a Bug DSP was added on the front.
  • 1/2 x 4 strips of Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Pool Party and Highland Heather cardstocks were added to the center area on the front.
  • I placed a scrap 2″ circle in the center of the 3-1/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Basic White.  I used that as a guide to stamp my Cutest Crew butterflies around the circle using Basic Black Hybrid Ink, then removed the circle.
  • The butterflies were colored with Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo, Pool Party and Highland Heather Stampin’ Blends.
  • The greeting from Cutest Crew was stamped with Highland Heather Ink in the center.
  • A double length of Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the wreath with a Mini Glue Dot.
  • A trio of Pearlized Faceted Circles were added to the background for a little sparkle.

We have a new Creatively Simple theme this month…Let’s Get Punchy!  Should be fun!

CUTEST CREW

I used punched circles from the Hobby Haven DSP for the background of my cute little puppy!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock was embossed with the Beautiful Patterns Embossing Folder and added to the front.
  • Three 1-3/4″ circles were punched from the Hobby Haven DSP in different patterns, then two adhered to the front flat.
  • The third one was stamped with the Cutest Crew greeting in Memento Black Ink and the pawprints in Crumb Cake Ink, then added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The single puppy was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Crumb Cake, Shaded Spruce/Old Olive (combined to make Garden Green) and Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends.  It was cut with the die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of Wonderful Stars Puffy Stickers were added to the background and circle.

Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “Critters or Insects”!  It’s our last one with this theme…we’ll move onto another theme next week!

I just got this bundle, and I’ve been wanting to use it!  Thought today’s challenge would be a perfect time!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 4-1/4 layer of Summer Splash cardstock was adhered towards the bottom on the front.
  • The 3-1/2 x 3-3/4 piece of Hobby Haven DSP was adhered layered towards the top.
  • The paper ribbon was cut with the die from Pecan Pie cardstock and adhered across the front.
  • The kitties were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Crumb Cake, Pecan Pie and Summer Splash Stampin’ Blends, then cut with the Die and adhered to the bottom with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting was stamped with Pecan Pie Ink on Basic Beige cardstock and cut with the Stylish Shapes circle die, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The tiny butterflies were cut from Summer Splash cardstock and adhered on the circle and in the background.
  • A trio of Pearls of Beauty were added to the background.

Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “Critters or Insects”!

SPRINGTIME SCENES

I love this designer paper pattern in the Homemade Sweetness DSP…the little ladybugs and flowers are SO cute!  This is one of those easy to make cards that will use up that stack of DSP you have laying around!  So many options with this layout!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Misty Moonlight cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Calypso Coral was added on top.
  • The 1-3/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Homemade Sweetness DSP was added at the bottom.
  • The ladybug print in Homemade Sweetness DSP was cut to 3-1/4 x 3-1/2 and added to the front.
  • The greeting from Cutest Crew was stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink on Basic White and punched with the 2-3/8″ Circle Punch, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A ladybug from Springtime Scenes was stamped with Memento Black Ink, colored with Basic Black and Calypso Coral Stampin’ Blends, then cut with the Springtime Scenes Dies and added to the circle with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
  • A trio of Moody Palette Glossy Dots were added to the circle and background.
