Saturday Blog Hop – Fall Favorites

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week’s challenge is “Fall Favorites”…what is your favorite thing of fall?  I love pumpkins…and the colors of bright orange and purple together for fall!  One of these days I’ll do my porch in entirely these colors!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Gorgeous Grape cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 3-3/4 x 5 piece of black and white Modern Christmas Designer Paper was colored with Gorgeous Grape Ink using a Blending Brush and added to the front.
  • A 1-1/2 x 4 piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock was stamped with the greeting in Memento Black Ink and added towards the bottom.
  • The Everyday Arches was cut with the die from Basic White cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The Amber Autumn pumpkin image was stamped on Basic White cardstock with Memento Black Ink and colored with Dark Darling Duckling, Timid Tiger Combo, Dark Pumpkin Pie, Granny Apple Green and Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends.  It was cut with the Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Old Olive Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the bottom of the pumpkins with a Mini Glue Dot.
  • A trio of Purple Fine Shimmer Gems were added to the background.

CS210 – Gathering Moments

Our Creatively Simple new theme this month is “Autumn Wishes”!  Fall!  One of my most favorite times of the year!

GATHERING MEMORIES

This card came together SO easily…I had a bunch of these pieces already stamped and cut on my desk!  I just pulled them all together!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Cajun Craze cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Beige was stamped with the leaf in Basic Beige Ink randomly down the center.
  • Two 1 x 5-1/4 strips of Timeless Plaid DSP were added down each side.
  • The greeting was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Basic White cardstock, then punched with the 2″ Circle Punch.  The splatter image was stamped off with Basic Beige Ink in the background.
  • The 2-3/8″ Circle was punched from Cajun Craze cardstock and the white circle layered on top.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Two leaves were stamped on Basic Beige cardstock with Cajun Craze Ink and cut with the Dies.  They were added to the bottom of the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Early Espresso Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the stems with a Mini Glue Dot.

IM401 – Artistic Leaves

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is some plaid patterns!

ARTISTIC LEAVES

Of course, our Timeless Plaids DSP was a perfect backdrop for my card!  I had these 2″ squares left over from my stamp class last week!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Cajun Craze cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Beige cardstock was added on top.
  • Two coordinating patterns of the 2″ square Timeless Plaid DSP were added side by side on the front.
  • The Artistic Leaves large leaf was stamped with Cajun Craze Ink and the inside with Basic Beige Ink on Basic Beige cardstock and speckles with Cajun Craze Ink.  It was hand-cut and added to the center of the card.
  • The greeting was stamped with Cajun Craze Ink in the center and stamped off speckles added around with Cajun Craze Ink.  It was punched with the 1-1/2″ Circle Punch and added to the front.
  • The 5″ Irregular Weave Trim was tied in a knot and then added to the stem with a Mini Glue Dot.

Our Creatively Simple new theme this month is “Autumn Wishes”!  It’s getting to be that time of year!

GATHERING MEMORIES

This Suite of products is SO pretty!  I love the vibrant fall colors in the DSP especially!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Cajun Craze cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Beige cardstock is embossed with the Gathering Leaves Embossing Folder.
  • A 1-1/2 x 5-1/4 piece o Gathering Together DSP is added to the right side.
  • The Nested Essentials Die was cut from Basic White cardstock and stamped with the greeting in Old Olive Ink.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The leaves were stamped with Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze and Old Olive Inks, the mushroom with Crumb Cake Ink on Basic Beige cardstock, then cut with the Dies.  They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Irregular Weave Trim was folded in half and tucked under the leaves with a Mini Glue Dot.
  • A trio of Cajun Craze & Gold Dots were added to the background and tag.

Saturday Blog Hop – Orange Colored Sky

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This month we will be featuring song titles with colors in them!  This week’s theme is “Orange Colored Sky” by Nat King Cole and we are to use any shade of orange on our cards!

AMBER AUTUMN

I immediately thought of pumpkins and how they come in a variety of orange shades of color!  I love this new Amber Autumn Bundle (available Sept 3).

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Timid Tiger cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
  • The second 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock was cut with the background Amber Autumn Die, then brushed with Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight Inks.  It was trimmed to 3-3/4 x 5 and added to the front with Monoadhesive Glue.
  • The Party Banner was cut from the Celebratory Sips Designer Paper and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A 3/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Peach Pie cardstock was added towards the bottom of the banner.
  • The pumpkins were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Peach Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Timid Tiger, Old Olive and Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Blends.  It was cut with the Amber Autumn Die and added to the banner with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Blessed was inked with Pumpkin Pie Ink on 1/2 x 2 piece of Basic White cardstock and the ends cut at an angle.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some orange Party Dots (Last Chance) were added to the background.

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. We have a fun sketch for you to try this week!

 

 

 

CLASSIC WEDDING                                                                          

We’ve kind of grown past the wedding phase in our family…at least until all the grandkids are grown up!  But I knew I could do more with this set than just wedding!  It reminds me of my blog banner that I change out according to the season!  So, I had fun making this trunk full of pumpkins!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Boho Blue cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 piece of Country Woods Designer Paper was added to the front.
  • A 2 x 4 piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock was added across the bottom.
  • The car detail from the new Classic Wedding (Online Exclusive) was stamped with Memento Black Ink and the color Boho Blue for the body.  The wheels were stamped with Memento Black and the window with stamped off Pool Party Ink.  The car was cut with the die.
  • The bumper, window frame, tail lights were cut with the dies from Smoky Slate cardstock.  Inside the tail lights with Basic White cardstock.
  • The banner was stamped with Boho Blue Ink on Basic White cardstock and the inside stamped with Hello Fall from Choose Happy stamp set in Memento Black Ink.  It was added to the trunk with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The pumpkins from Choose Happy were stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.  They were hand-cut and added to the trunk with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The flowers were cut with the dies from Daffodil Delight Cardstock and the centers colored with Pecan Pie Blends.
  • The pennant banner was cut from Basic White cardstock and colored with Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.
  • A trio of Regal Foiled Adhesive Backed Dots were added to the top right corner.

CS163 – Autumn Expressions

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards.  Our theme for October is Happy Harvest!  Just in time for fall and upcoming Thanksgiving ideas!

AUTUMN EXPRESSIONS

I love the fall decor using teals and purples!  I was inspired by a print I saw at the store to make this card in those colors with some Gray Granite!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Gray Granite cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The front of the base card was embossed with the Forever Plaid Embossing Folder.
  • A 3 x 4-1/4 piece of Lost Lagoon cardstock was randomly stamped with the leaf from Autumn Expressions stamp set in Lost Lagoon Ink.  It was added to the front towards the top.
  • The greeting from Autumn Expressions was stamped with Lost Lagoon Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the center frame piece from the Autumn Expressions Die.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Two leaves were cut from Lost Lagoon cardstock and cut with the Dies.
  • Two leaves were stamped with Blackberry Bliss Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Blackberry Bliss using the Blending Brush and cut with the Die.
  • The tree ring was stamped with Gray Granite Ink on Gray Granite cardstock and colored with the Gray Granite Ink using the Blending Brush and cut with the Die.
  • Two leaf fronds were cut from Blackberry Bliss cardstock using the Dies.
  • Everything was assembled next to the greeting label and added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of Silver Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins were added to the background and leaf.
  • Some Silver Trim (Clearance Rack) was tied in a bow and added to the top leaf.

IM353 – Rustic Crate

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration challenge is a fall decor scene…wouldn’t this be pretty on a patio or porch?

RUSTIC CRATE

Again I’m using a bundle from the past catalog, Rustic Crate.  The pumpkin and sunflower images were perfect to use and seem to pop off the Country Woods Designer Paper.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pumpkin Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Beige cardstock was embossed with the Dashing Designs Embossing Folder and added to the front.
  • A 1-1/2 x 5 strip of Pumpkin Pie cardstock was added down the center.
  • The 3-1/2 x 3-3/4 piece of Country Woods Designer Paper was added on top, centered.
  • The crate from Rustic Crate was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and cut with the Die.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The pumpkin/sunflower image from Rustic Crate stamp set was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Basic Beige cardstock (I love the more toned-down look vs. stamping on Basic White.)  It was colored with Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Pecan Pie, Old Olive Stampin’ Blends Combos and cut with the Rustic Crate Die.  It was added to the crate with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The blessed greeting was selectively inked with Early Espresso Ink (or use a marker) and stamped on the 1/2 x 1-1/4 Basic Beige cardstock, then end was cut at an angle and adhered to the crate.
  • A trio of copper Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins were added to the background.
