CCM Saturday Blog Hop – Fall Trees

This week’s CCM Saturday Blog Hop theme is “Fall trees”.  The colors of the trees in Ohio during the fall are so gorgeous…especially when the sun is shining and highlighting the bright colors even more!  Are you wondering what stamp set I used to make these trees?

 

PERCHED IN A TREE

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Early Espresso cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pumpkin Pie cardstock was adhered on top.
  • On the 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 piece of Pool Party cardstock:
    • Stamp the branch from Perched on a Tree stamp set three times at staggering heights with Early Espresso Ink for the trunks.
    • Color the trunks with SU600 Stampin’ Blends.
    • Using the solid splatter image with light colors first for the top of the trees.  I used Old Olive, Crushed Curry and Pumpkin Pie.
    • Using the open splatter image, add Cherry Cobbler and mix in the above colors to fill in as desired.
  • With a 1-1/4 x 3-7/8 piece of Crumb Cake, repeat with the splatter technique, tear off the top and add to the bottom of the trees, adhere finished Pool Party panel to Pumpkin Pie layer on base card.
  • On 7/8 x 3-1/2 Basic White cardstock, stamp Perched in a Tree greeting with Early Espresso Ink, cut flag end and adhere to front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Add Champagne Rhinestones randomly to the leaves.

IM243 – Ringed with Nature

It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge!  Isn’t this a GORGEOUS fall cake?  I love the wood “bark” frosting along the bottom tier!

RINGED WITH NATURE

The tree rings image in the Ringed with Nature stamp set I thought fit this inspiration perfectly!  I debated embossing them with the Tree Rings EF, too, but decided not.


Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Early Espresso cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded to form the base.
    • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock was stamped with the tree rings from Ringed with Nature stamp set in Early Espresso Ink and added to the front.
    • A 2-1/4 x 5 piece of Very Vanilla cardstock was stamped with the Ringed with Nature flower in Pumpkin Pie Ink, the leaves with Old Olive Ink, the center and greeting with Early Espresso Ink.
    • A 1/2 x 4 piece of Abigail Rose DSP was added along the bottom, then a 1/4 x 3-3/4 piece of Pumpkin Pie was adhered under the DSP.  This element was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The berries were cut with the Tree Rings Dies from Pumpkin Pie and the leaves from Mossy Meadow, then the leaves cut and added to the berry branches.  They were tucked along the top left corner.
    • The acorn top was cut with the Tree Rings Dies from Early Espresso cardstock and the base from Crumb Cake cardstock.  It was sponged with some Early Espresso Ink, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the top of the acorn witha Mini Glue Dot.
    • Three small Rustic Dots were added to the center of the flower.

Saturday Blog Hop – Fall Leaves

This week’s Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is “Fall Leaves”.  Ours in Ohio are certainly almost all on the ground now.  Was so glad we did a little travelling a few weeks ago when they were at their peak!

INTRICATE LEAVES DIES

This card was made from pieces left on my desk from discarded projects.  I call them “starts” and love it when I can use them up!  I already had the banners made up, so just added some leaves and the base card!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Misty Moonlight cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was embossed with the Timeworn Type embossing folder.
  • Four 1-1/4 x 2-1/2 rectangles were cut from Crumb Cake cardstock, the banners hand cut at the bottom.  They were embossed with the Timeworn Embossing Folder and adhere to the front.
  • A 1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Misty Moonlight cardstock was added across the top of the banners.
  • The Harvest Meadow DSP pieces were cut with the Hippo and Friends Dies, then added to the banners with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • FALL letters were cut from the Playful Alphabet Dies from Cajun Craze cardstock and adhered to the banners.
  • The small leaves were cut with the Intricate Dies using Cajun Craze, Bumblebee and Pumpkin Pie cardstocks and added around the banners.
  • Some Brushed Metallic Dots were added to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Thinking of Fall

Happy Saturday! This week our CCM Design Team is “Thinking of Fall” for our Saturday Blog Hop!  It is hard to believe that it will soon to September!  We’ve had a nice HOT summer this year…I love it!  But soon in Ohio, we’ll be seeing the colorful leaves dress up the trees!  It is so pretty to see red, yellow, orange and green out my back door!  I used a new bundle, Autumn Goodness, for my fall card today!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 7, scored at 3-1/2 and folded to form a SHORT card.
  • The Gilded Autumn Designer Paper is cut 3-1/4 x 5-1/4.
  • Two 6″ lengths of Embroidered Ribbon and Copper Metallic Ribbon were layered on top of each other, wrapped around the DSP and adhered in back, then the DSP added to the front of the base card.
  • The largest Scallop Layering Circle was cut from Early Espresso, and the large Layering Circle that fits inside was cut from Whisper White cardstock.  A little Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends was colored along the bottom of the circle for the “shadow”.
  • The haystack and pumpkin patch were stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Mango Melody Combo, Pumpkin Pie Combo, Real Red Combo, and Granny Apple Green Combo Stampin’ Blends.  They were cut with the Autumn Wheelbarrow Dies and added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The circle was placed hanging off the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  (TIP:  make sure that is doesn’t go over 4-1/4″ so that it still fits in your envelope).
  • The greeting was stamped on a 1/2 x 2-1/2 piece of Whisper White with Memento Black Ink, cut the flag end, and tucked under the pumpkins.
  • A trio of gold Holiday Rhinestones were added in the background.

IM138 – Autumn Goodness

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week’s inspiration is some fun color yarn!

 

At first I was really stumped on what direction to go with my card.  To me, these colors don’t coordinate very well.  But, I thought that flowers could have these colors, so I pulled out my Autumn Goodness Bundle to use.  I think it went together really well!

 

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Cinnamon Cider cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
    • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Purple Posy was added on top.
    • A 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 piece of Plaid Tidings Designer Paper was added to the left side.
    • The largest Stitched So Sweetly rectangle was cut from Whisper White and the greeting from Autumn Goodness was stamped with Cinnamon Cider Ink in the upper right corner.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The wheelbarrow from Autumn Goodness was stamped with Cinnamon Cider Ink on Bumblebee cardstock, then cut with the Autumn Wheelbarrow Dies.  It was added to the rectangle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The spokes of the wheel was cut from Cinnamon Cider cardstock and added to the wheelbarrow with a Mini Glue Dot.
    • The floral bunch was stamped with Memento Black Ink, then colored with Light Cinnamon Cider, Dark Mango Melody, Purple Posy Combo, and Light Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends.  It was cut with the Autumn Wheelbarrow Die and added on front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • A couple gold Holiday Rhinestones were added to the corner for a little bling.

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week’s inspiration is some yummy looking fall cookies!

 

 

I’ve used Banner Year again for my card!  I thought the little pumpkins would work perfectly.

 

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Early Espresso cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
    • The 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Plaid Tidings was added to the front.
    • A 1 x 4 piece of Early Espresso cardstock was added across the front.
    • The two labels were cut from Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White cardstock with the Tasteful Label Dies and adhered together, then added on front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • Two pumpkins, stem/leaves from Banner Year Stamp Set were stamped with Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive Inks on Whisper White, then hand-cut and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The greeting from Banner Year was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on 1/2 x 3 piece of Whisper White, cut the end at an angle, then added with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • Two Gold Glimmer Dots were added above the greeting for a little bling!

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Beauty of Fall

It’s Saturday and time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Our design team theme is featuring “Beauty of Fall” this week.  I think the Painted Autumn Designer Paper that Stampin’ Up! offered this year is just FULL of the beautiful fall colors!  I prefer to see the leaves with a touch of green still on them, along with the vibrant red, gold, orange and yellow colors.  I also like using our Large Letter Alphabet and omitting one of the letters in the word with an image like I did here.

 

Here are the details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White, a 1-3/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Painted Autumn Designer Paper was placed across the bottom.
  • Some Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon covers the seam and is adhered in the back.
  • The F-L-L letters were cut from Chocolate Chip cardstock and adhered on front.
  • The pumpkin (back) from Seasonal Chums was colored with Pumpkin Pie, Bronze and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends, cut with the Seasonal Tags Thinlits, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

CCMC475 Labels to Love

Oh!  What a fun color combination we have for you today on Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge!  Perfect for these little cooler and rainy days!  Reminds me that fall will soon be here!

 

The Painted Autumn Designer Paper had this check pattern that I thought worked great with the colors…seems like a few of the other Challenge Team members thought the same thing!  lol!

 

 

Here are the details:

 

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Very Vanilla, scored at 4-1/4 and folded to form the base card.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Soft Sky cardstock is added on top.
  • The Painted Autumn DSP is 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 and adhered towards the right side.
  • A 1/2 x 5 piece of Tangerine Tango cardstock is added on top.
  • The largest circle in the Stitched Shapes was cut from Thick Very Vanilla cardstock, then stamped with the Labels to Love greeting in Early Espresso Ink, then added on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The trio of pumpkins were cut out of the Painted Autumn DSP and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Tangerine Tango and Peekaboo Peach cardstocks were punched with the Leaf Punch and tucked around the circle and pumpkins.
  • A piece of Soft Sky Woven Ribbon was tied in a knot and added to the circle with a Mini Glue Dot.
