Saturday Blog Hop – Thinking of Fall

Happy Saturday! This week our CCM Design Team is “Thinking of Fall” for our Saturday Blog Hop! It is hard to believe that it will soon to September! We’ve had a nice HOT summer this year…I love it! But soon in Ohio, we’ll be seeing the colorful leaves dress up the trees! It is so pretty to see red, yellow, orange and green out my back door! I used a new bundle, Autumn Goodness, for my fall card today!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 7, scored at 3-1/2 and folded to form a SHORT card.
The Gilded Autumn Designer Paper is cut 3-1/4 x 5-1/4.
Two 6″ lengths of Embroidered Ribbon and Copper Metallic Ribbon were layered on top of each other, wrapped around the DSP and adhered in back, then the DSP added to the front of the base card.
The largest Scallop Layering Circle was cut from Early Espresso, and the large Layering Circle that fits inside was cut from Whisper White cardstock. A little Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends was colored along the bottom of the circle for the “shadow”.
The haystack and pumpkin patch were stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Mango Melody Combo, Pumpkin Pie Combo, Real Red Combo, and Granny Apple Green Combo Stampin’ Blends. They were cut with the Autumn Wheelbarrow Dies and added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The circle was placed hanging off the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals. (TIP: make sure that is doesn’t go over 4-1/4″ so that it still fits in your envelope).
The greeting was stamped on a 1/2 x 2-1/2 piece of Whisper White with Memento Black Ink, cut the flag end, and tucked under the pumpkins.
A trio of gold Holiday Rhinestones were added in the background.

Sometimes, I just love spending a little more time and doing some coloring. This is a perfect set for coloring! IM138 – Autumn Goodness

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week’s inspiration is some fun color yarn!

At first I was really stumped on what direction to go with my card. To me, these colors don’t coordinate very well. But, I thought that flowers could have these colors, so I pulled out my Autumn Goodness Bundle to use. I think it went together really well!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Cinnamon Cider cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Purple Posy was added on top.
- A 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 piece of Plaid Tidings Designer Paper was added to the left side.
- The largest Stitched So Sweetly rectangle was cut from Whisper White and the greeting from Autumn Goodness was stamped with Cinnamon Cider Ink in the upper right corner. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The wheelbarrow from Autumn Goodness was stamped with Cinnamon Cider Ink on Bumblebee cardstock, then cut with the Autumn Wheelbarrow Dies. It was added to the rectangle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The spokes of the wheel was cut from Cinnamon Cider cardstock and added to the wheelbarrow with a Mini Glue Dot.
- The floral bunch was stamped with Memento Black Ink, then colored with Light Cinnamon Cider, Dark Mango Melody, Purple Posy Combo, and Light Rich Razzleberry Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Autumn Wheelbarrow Die and added on front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A couple gold Holiday Rhinestones were added to the corner for a little bling.

I am really surprised at how this turned out with that color combination! I’m glad this plaid had those colors in it to pull it together. OK…check out what Mary did with the Inspiration Monday Challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary!

IM137 – Banner Year

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week’s inspiration is some yummy looking fall cookies!

I’ve used Banner Year again for my card! I thought the little pumpkins would work perfectly.

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Early Espresso cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- The 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Plaid Tidings was added to the front.
- A 1 x 4 piece of Early Espresso cardstock was added across the front.
- The two labels were cut from Pumpkin Pie and Whisper White cardstock with the Tasteful Label Dies and adhered together, then added on front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Two pumpkins, stem/leaves from Banner Year Stamp Set were stamped with Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive Inks on Whisper White, then hand-cut and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The greeting from Banner Year was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on 1/2 x 3 piece of Whisper White, cut the end at an angle, then added with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Two Gold Glimmer Dots were added above the greeting for a little bling!

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Beauty of Fall

It’s Saturday and time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Our design team theme is featuring “Beauty of Fall” this week. I think the Painted Autumn Designer Paper that Stampin’ Up! offered this year is just FULL of the beautiful fall colors! I prefer to see the leaves with a touch of green still on them, along with the vibrant red, gold, orange and yellow colors. I also like using our Large Letter Alphabet and omitting one of the letters in the word with an image like I did here.

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White, a 1-3/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Painted Autumn Designer Paper was placed across the bottom.
Some Lemon Lime Twist Ombre Ribbon covers the seam and is adhered in the back.
The F-L-L letters were cut from Chocolate Chip cardstock and adhered on front.
The pumpkin (back) from Seasonal Chums was colored with Pumpkin Pie, Bronze and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends, cut with the Seasonal Tags Thinlits, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

CCMC475 Labels to Love

Oh! What a fun color combination we have for you today on Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! Perfect for these little cooler and rainy days! Reminds me that fall will soon be here!

The Painted Autumn Designer Paper had this check pattern that I thought worked great with the colors…seems like a few of the other Challenge Team members thought the same thing! lol!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Very Vanilla, scored at 4-1/4 and folded to form the base card.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Soft Sky cardstock is added on top.
The Painted Autumn DSP is 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 and adhered towards the right side.
A 1/2 x 5 piece of Tangerine Tango cardstock is added on top.
The largest circle in the Stitched Shapes was cut from Thick Very Vanilla cardstock, then stamped with the Labels to Love greeting in Early Espresso Ink, then added on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The trio of pumpkins were cut out of the Painted Autumn DSP and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Tangerine Tango and Peekaboo Peach cardstocks were punched with the Leaf Punch and tucked around the circle and pumpkins.
A piece of Soft Sky Woven Ribbon was tied in a knot and added to the circle with a Mini Glue Dot.

SUOC160 Santa’s Sleigh for Fall

The theme this week on SUO Challenges is Fall Fun (SUOC160). One thing I like to do is get maximum benefit from my stamps. I had Santa’s Sleigh on my desk from another project and wondered how the tree would look colored for fall! I also got to use the fun Labeler Alphabet to personalize the words!

Here are the details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Crumb Cake, folded in half.
On each side is 3/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Petals & Paisleys Designer Paper.
In the center is a 3-1/2 x 5-1/4 piece of Whisper White stamped with the tree from Santa’s Sleigh with Memento Black Ink.
I used a Blender Pen with Delightful Dijon and Cajun Craze Ink Pads (squeeze the top to collect the ink) and colored. The trunk was done with Chocolate Chip Ink Pad. Some “grassy” area was also added at the bottom to ground the image.
The trio of pumpkins from Spooky Fun were stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Whisper White and colored with the Blender Pen and Pumpkin Pie Ink, then cut out and placed along the bottom of the tree.
Happy Fall letters from Labeler Alphabet stamp set were individually stamped with Chocolate Chip Ink and cut out, then added across the top.
Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the top of the tree.

Thoughtful Branches

Since I’ve heard that Stampin’ Up! is close to exhausting their supply of Thoughtful Branches bundles, I thought I’d show the last of the cards I had made using this set before it is officially gone. SO…if you have waited and waited and now HAVE to HAVE it…let me know and I’ll get it ordered for you! lol! It is a keeper in my book…I know I’ll hold onto mine!

Fall officially starts tomorrow. I noticed that the first trees have started to turn colors around here, too…even though our temps are still in the 80s! I used the baby wipe technique to make the multi-colors on my leaves for this card. The “pad” was nearing the end of its use, so the colors were mixed and blended really well…love how it turned out!

Here are the details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Chocolate Chip cardstock, folded in half.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock.
A 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Warmth & Cheer Designer Paper was layered on a 1-1/2 x 5-1/4 piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock then added to the left side.
The tree trunk from Thoughtful Branches stamp set was stamped with Chocolate Chip Ink on a 1-3/4 x 3-3/4 piece of Whisper White, then the leaves inked on the Baby Wipe filled with Delightful Dijon, Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive reinkers. It was overstamped a couple times for fullness. Also stamped the “grass” along the bottom.
The Delightful Dijon ribbon was cut and swirled on the front of the base, tacking it in place with a couple Mini Glue Dots.
The stamped panel was added to a 2 x 4 piece of Delightful Dijon and then adhered to the front diagonally with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the ribbon swirl.
Thank You from the same stamp set was stamped with Chocolate Chip Ink in the bottom right corner.
Two leaves were stamped in the baby wipe pad, cut with the Thinlets and added on front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

That’s it! What do you think? My highlights on this card are the ribbon swirl and the baby wipe technique!
