Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…this month it is “Sparkle”. It’s the PERFECT theme for this month, don’t you think? We’ll create a simple card every Tuesday in December using that theme! Here’s our last one for this month!

SNOW CRYSTAL

I love this large, single snowflake! Since it fills the entire card, it makes it easy to do a bunch of cards quickly! We have a lot of winter birthdays in our family, so thought this card would be pretty to send out…full of gold shimmer!

Stampin’ Details:

Base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake is stamped with the Snow Crystal image with VersaMark ink and embossed with Gold Embossing Powder.
The banner from Fond of Autumn stamp set is stamped with Soft Suede Ink on Basic White cardstock.
The greeting from Fond of Autumn is stamped with VersaMark Ink and embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. It is cut with the Autumn Bouquet Die and added to the center of the snowflake with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of white Seasonal Sequins was added to the background.

CCM Saturday Blog Hop – Gratitude

This week’s CCM Saturday Blog Hop theme is “Gratitude”! After the year I’ve experienced, I have a lot of gratitude just for life and the people in my life. Especially for my husband who is my rock during my illness! I’ve learned not to take anything for granted as things can change without notice. I love the “so grateful” greeting in Soft Seedlings, so built my card around it.

I also wanted “brighter” pumpkins, so colored the pumpkins in this Rustic Harvest DSP with the Light and Dark Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends. Along with the leaves in Old Olive and the stems with SU200. Really makes this DSP pop!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pumpkin Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 2-3/4 x 5 piece of Rustic Harvest DSP was colored with Stampin’ Blends and added to the front.
The coordinating 1-1/2 x 4-1/4 rust stripe print in Rustic Harvest DSP was added across the front.
Old Olive cardstock was cut with the Stylish Shapes label die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
So Grateful from Soft Seedlings stamp set was stamped with Mossy Meadow Ink on 3/4 x 2-1/2 Basic White cardstock and cut with a flag end. It was adhered to the Old Olive cardstock.
The acorn and leaf from Fond of Autumn was stamped on scrap Basic White cardstock and colored with the same Blends as the pumpkins, then cut with the Autumn Bouquet Dies. They were added to the label with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some gold Simply Elegant Trim was tied in a bow and added to the front with Mini Glue Dots.

IM253 – Fond of Autumn

It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge. I love these colors for fall…the blue just pops in this photo! Does it remind anyone else of Williamsburg Blue that used to be SO popular in decorating 20 or so years ago? I had that color ALL over our house!

FOND OF AUTUMN

Here’s what I did with the inspiration! I actually LOVE how this turned out!!!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pool Party cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Basic White was embossed with the Timber Embossing Folder.
- The large image from Fond of Autumn was stamped with Soft Suede on Basic White and colored with Daffodil Delight, Cajun Craze, Pool Party, Light Bermuda Bay, SU 400, SU600, SU800 Stampin’ Blends, then cut with the outline Autumn Bouquet Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The scallop circle from All That Dies was cut from Pool Party cardstock and added under the bouquet with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Autumn Wishes was stamped with Early Espresso on a strip of Basic White and cut with the banners from All That Dies. They were added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A trio of Brushed Metallic Dots were added to the background.
- Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the acorns with Mini Glue Dots.

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Fall Cards

This week’s CCM Saturday Blog Hop theme is “Fall Cards”. It IS that time of year! The weather around Ohio has really turned off cooler!

FOND OF AUTUMN

Here is my fall theme card using Fond of Autumn stamp set and the Celebrate Everything Designer Paper, which is a host only selection. I love all the bright fun colors in this package!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 2-5/8 x 5-1/4 piece of plaid Celebrate Everything DSP was adhered to the left side, and a 1-1/4 c 5-1/4 piece of leaf print was added to the right side with a small space between them.
The Leaf Label was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Autumn Wishes from Fond of Autumn stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 1 x 3 Crushed Curry cardstock strip and the ends cut in a banner. It was added over the leaf with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Linen Thread was doubled and tied in the hole in the leaf with a bow.
Two leaves and the acorn from Fond of Autumn stamp set were stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Real Red, Shaded Spruce and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Combos, then cut with the Autumn Bouquet Dies. They were added to the leaf with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Amber Gems were added in the background.

CS55 – Fond of Autumn

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…this month it is “Add a Tag”, and we each create a simple card every Tuesday in September using that theme!

FOND OF AUTUMN

One thing I love about the Fond of Autumn Bundle is that it has a die to cut out the entire large image at once, or it has a die that will cut the large image into three different pieces! I trimmed down the center image even more so it would fit better on my tag.

Stampin’ Details:

Base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-2/4 layer of Cajun Craze c/s is added on top.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Mossy Meadow c/s was embossed with the Leaf Fall Embossing Folder and adhered on top.
The second from largest Tailored Made Tag was used to cut two different patterns from Rustic Harvest Designer Paper. They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The third tag was cut from Basic White cardstock and stamped with the Fond of Autumn greeting in Cajun Craze Ink towards the bottom.
The tag was tied with the Black & White Gingham Ribbon and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The large image from Fond of Autumn was stamped with Memento Black Ink and cut apart, then trimmed some to get an even smaller image. It was colored with Old Olive, Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blends Combos and added to the tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Champagne Rhinestones were added to the background of the tag.

Creatively Simple 52 – Fond of Autumn

FOND OF AUTUMN

Love all the diversity in this set! Such simple elements here!

Stampin’ Details:

Base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Cajun Craze cardstock.
Cut out the floral piece from the center of a 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Basic White cardstock.
Adhere a 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 of Cajun Craze print to the front, then the white floral die cut on top.
Emboss banner and greeting with White Embossing powder, cut with die add to front.
Add Iridescent Pearls to background

Saturday Blog Hop – Casing Mary Brown

For the next several weeks, we will be Casing the Design Team for our Saturday Blog Hops! This week our featured Design Team Member is Mary Brown! We are to find an “old” card on her blog that we like and use the layout and colors with a new set from the July-December Mini Catalog! This should be fun! We will show both the “old” card that inspired us, and our new version! Here’s Mary’s card that I choose from last year.

FOND OF AUTUMN

This Fond of Autumn Bundle is quite versatile for fall cards! I love that the dies allow you to keep the large image together or cut it into pieces like I did here!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 3 x 4 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock was cut with the Stitched Leaves Die and added to the front.
A 1 x 5 strip of He’s The Man Designer Paper was added to the front.
A 1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Gold Metallic Paper was added on top.
The large image from Fond of Autumn was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Pale Papaya Combo, SU300, Soft Succulent Combo and Light Evening Evergreen Stampin’ Blends. It was cut in three pieces with the Autumn Bouquet Dies and the two larger pieces added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Autumn Greetings was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on 5/8 x 3 Basic White and ends trimmed. It was added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two Gold Brushed Metallic Dots were added to the corner.

CCMC727 – Fond of Autumn

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. I actually love how easy this sketch was to use! I’ve used the new Fond of Autumn on my card that came together easily (well, after I changed up the color scheme I was using!) lol! It uses one of the FREE SAB products, Rings of Love Designer Paper!

FOND OF AUTUMN

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 So Saffron cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3 x 4-3/4 strip of Rings of Love Designer Paper was added to the left side.
The 3 x 4-3/4 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock was stamped with the Fond of Autumn image in Soft Suede Ink and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Thank you from Fond of Autumn was stamped with Soft Suede Ink on a 1-1/2 x 2-1/4 Crushed Curry cardstock cut to a point end.
A 1/4 x 1-3/4 piece of Night of Navy cardstock was added along the top and it was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three Amber Gems were added to the background.
