CS121 – Snow Crystal

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. This month the theme is “Winter” cards!

SNOW CRYSTAL

This is a take-off of my Christmas cards this year! I made coordinating thank-you cards to send after Christmas. This one is super simple, but still elegant! And, as anyone who knows me…I don’t really mean the greeting on here…no snow after Christmas for me! lol! But it is a nice winter greeting for today’s theme!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The large Snow Crystal image was inked with Coastal Cabana Ink and stamped partially off the left side. The smaller Sparkling Snowflakes image were stamped with Pool Party Ink in the background.
Some speckle was stamped with White Craft Ink randomly around the background, too.
A 1 x 4 strip of Smoky Slate cardstock was stamped with the greeting from Sparkling Snowflakes in Memento Black Ink and added to the front.
A white Faceted Gem Trio Pack was added to the center of the large snowflake for a little bling.

SUPER simple and a nice thank you card! Would be easy to change out the greeting for a birthday, winter anniversary or even sympathy card! Check out Mary’s Creatively Simple card over on Create with Connie and Mary!

CS69 – Snow Crystal

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…this month it is “Sparkle”. It’s the PERFECT theme for this month, don’t you think? We’ll create a simple card every Tuesday in December using that theme! Here’s our last one for this month!

SNOW CRYSTAL

I love this large, single snowflake! Since it fills the entire card, it makes it easy to do a bunch of cards quickly! We have a lot of winter birthdays in our family, so thought this card would be pretty to send out…full of gold shimmer!

Stampin’ Details:

Base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake is stamped with the Snow Crystal image with VersaMark ink and embossed with Gold Embossing Powder.
The banner from Fond of Autumn stamp set is stamped with Soft Suede Ink on Basic White cardstock.
The greeting from Fond of Autumn is stamped with VersaMark Ink and embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. It is cut with the Autumn Bouquet Die and added to the center of the snowflake with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of white Seasonal Sequins was added to the background.

See….VERY simple! Hardest part for me was getting my embossing tool out of the cabinet! lol! Make sure to check out Mary’s Creatively Simple card over on Create with Connie and Mary!

Hello! It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This time it is a fun color combination to inspire us!

SNOW CRYSTAL

I thought the large snowflake from Snow Crystal Stamp would be perfect done up in pink and blue colors!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Night of Navy cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was stamped with Polished Pink and Balmy Blue snowflakes and added to the front.
A 3 x 3-1/2 piece of Snowflake Vellum was added to the center.
The greeting from the new Framed & Festive stamp set (available while supplies last!) was stamped with Night of Navy Ink on Balmy Blue cardstock and cut with the Seasonal Labels Die.
Another long Seasonal Labels Die was cut from Night of Navy cardstock. Both were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Solid Faceted Gems were added to the background in pink and blue.

What a FUN snowflake card with its bright colors! I may use this as my Christmas card this year! The Snowflake Vellum just adds so much sparkle in the background, too! Go check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did with this challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary

CS56 – Snow Crystal

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…this month it is “Add a Tag”, and we each create a simple card every Tuesday in September using that theme!

SNOW CRYSTAL

I tried not to buy any more snowflake sets this year, but I love this large snowflake in the July-Dec Mini Catalog called Snow Crystal. It is easy to overlook in the catalog, but it made a perfect background for my tag!

Stampin’ Details:

Base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pool Party cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the Snow Crystal image in Pool Party Ink and adhered to the front.
The Handmade Tag was punched from Pool Party cardstock and stamped with the greeting from Joyful Flurry Stamp Set in Memento Black Ink, then the background stamped with the smallest snowflake randomly in Pool Party Ink.
A 1/8″ Circle (retired SU) was punched at the top.
Some White Mini Iridescent Trim was tied in a bow at the top, then the tag added to the center of the snowflake with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two Iridescent Rhinestones were added to the bottom of the tag!
