Saturday Blog Hop – Halloween Favor

Happy Saturday! It’s time for another Saturday Blog Hop! So far the past few weeks, we’ve done Cute Halloween cards, Spooky Halloween Cards and now we are doing Halloween Favors! You still have a few days until Halloween, so get those craft supplies out!

The candy bar is revealed by pulling up on the bow of the ribbon!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 3-1/4 x 7 Basic Black cardstock, scored at 1/2, 1, 2-1/4 and 2-3/4.
The bat Monster Bash DSP is cut 1 x 3 and adhered on the top of the box portio
1/4″ holes are punched on the front panel and back panel
Tear & Tape is applied to the tab end of the Basic Black, then folded around to form a box (the top and bottom are open).
The 2-3/4 x 3 Whisper White panel is stamped with the cobweb from Wonderfully Wicked with Gray Granite Ink, the “Have a” and “Good Time” greetings with Memento Black Ink. It is adhered to the Basic Black panel.
Wicked is stamped with Pumpkin Pie Ink on Whisper White, then cut with the Ornate Frames die.
The Ornante Frame is cut from Pumpkin Pie, and the greeting layered on top.
The cat from Wonderfully Wicked is stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Whisper White, hand-cut, and added to the Wicked Greeting with Mini Glue Dots.
Some Linen Thread is tied in a bow and added to the neck of the cat with a Mini Glue dot.
Wicked is adhere to the top of the box portion with Stampin’ Dimensionals only on the left side.
The raven from Monster Bash Enamel Shapes was added to the top of the W.
The Black Glitter Ribbon is fed thru both holes, then the Hershey bar placed inside the ends. Push the ribbon and candy bar down thru the box and then tie a bow with the ribbon at the top.

Saturday Blog Hop – Halloween Favor

This week on Create with Connie and Mary we made Halloween Favors! I always LOVE making little favors…one of the things that got me originally started with Stampin’ Up! This one is altered from the new Takeout Box Thinlits!

Stampin’ Details:

The little basket started with cutting out the Takeout Box from Night of Navy cardstock and assembling. The flaps with the slits in them were cut off.
On the score line from the shorter side flaps, a slit was cut into each side to slide the 1/2 x 5-1/2 handle of Night of Navy, then the flaps adhered to the side of the box with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A 3/4 x 3 piece of Neutrals DSP was added to the front of the box, then trimmed off even with the box.
The greeting Spooky Sweets from Spooky Sweets stamp set was stamped with Night of Navy Ink on Very Vanilla and punched with the 1-3/4″ Circle Punch.
The clouds from Spooky Sweets were stamped off with Balmy Blue Ink and then sponged around the edges of the circle for my “blue moon”. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The bats were punched from Silver Glimmer Paper with the Spooky Bats Punch and added with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Black Glitter Ribbon was tied in a bow on the handle.
Add some candy and you are good to go!

Isn’t that a fun use of the Takeout Box Thinlits? I like creating different versions of them to get more uses! CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Halloween favor

It’s Saturday and time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Our design team theme is featuring “Trick or Treat favors” this week. I love doing little treat favors for my customers and grandkids. This one I designed for my recent Spooky Cat class! The box fits two Reece’s peanut butter “eyeballs” treats! The belly band slips off to reveal the treats in the lidded box below!

Here are the details:

The box was cut and scored from Pumpkin Pie cardstock.
A 1-1/2 x 6 piece of Spooky Night DSP makes the belly band to wrap around the box and adhere in the front.
On top is the Everyday Label punched from Very Vanilla cardstock.
On top of that is the Spooky Cat punched from Basic Gray cardstock and stamped the eyes in Memento Black from Spooky Cat stamp set. A necklace of Black Rhinestones is placed around her neck.
Two pumpkins were cut from the Spooky Night Designer Paper and added to the front of the cat.
Black Baker’s Twine is wrapped around her tail and tied in a bow.
Trick or Treat from Spooky Cat stamp set is stamped with Memento Black on Pumpkin Pie cardstock and punched with the Classic Label Punch.
Inside, the eyeballs were stamped with Memento Black Ink on the lid. (I cut it apart from the words so I could use it easier).
Two Eyeball Reece Peanut Cups are attached inside with Mini Glue Dots.
