Saturday Blog Hop – We Wish You A Merry Christmas

This week’s Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is the song “We Wish You a Merry Christmas”.  Thru the month we are featuring Christmas Carols as our themes and this one will focus on non-traditional Christmas colors on our cards!

HEARTFELT WISHES

I saw something on Pinterest that inspired me to make this Christmas Tree card using scraps of bright colored cardstock!  I think it turned out SO bright and merry!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Polished Pink cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Soft Sea Foam cardstock was embossed with the Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder.
  • A 1-1/2 x 5 piece of Basic White was cut with the Basic Borders Dies, then adhered to the bottom of the Soft Sea Foam and trimmed.
  • The greeting from Heartfelt Wishes was stamped in the “snowbank” with Polished Pink Ink.
  • The tree trunk is 1/2 x 2 and centered in the snowbank.
  • The tree “branches” are 1/2 strips of Polished Pink, Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green cardstock, adhered slightly wonked.  The sizes are 2-3/4, 2-3/8, 1-7/8, 1-5/8 and 1-1/4.  The top is 1/2 x 3/4.
  • The star was cut with the Stitched Stars Dies from Rose Gold Metallic Paper and popped up at the top with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
  • The ornaments are 1/4″ Circles from Rose Gold Metallic Paper added randomly with Mini Glue Dots.

Creatively Simple 10 – Thankful

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…this month it is “Thankful” and we each create a simple card every week using that theme!  It’s SO appropriate for this time of year!

I can definitely say that I’ve gotten a LOT of use out of my Seasonal Swirls Dies.  And, it wasn’t even a set that was first on my list to get!  This card is SUPER simple and easy to assemble, but I love the clean simplicity of it!  Just a couple passes thru the Cut & Emboss with the dies and you are done!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Cajun Craze cardstock was added on top.
  • The 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 layer of Basic white was stamped with the greeting from Heartfelt Wishes in Early Espresso Ink towards the bototm.
  • The Seasonal Swirls leaf wreath was partially cut from Crumb Cake cardstock.  The leaves were cut from Cajun Craze, Crushed Curry and Cherry Cobbler cardstock, then added to the wreath.
  • Two pumpkins were cut from Pumpkin Pie cardstock using the Die and added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Simply Elegant Gold Trim was tied in a bow and added to the bottom of the wreath with a Mini Glue Dot.
  • A trio of Genial Gems were added to the background.

October 2021 – Achievers Blog Hop

Our Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip Achievers get together each month for a Blog Hop! I’m blessed with great customers and downline who helped me achieve the next trip!  Unfortunately, due to ongoing world-wide Covid issues, the actual Cruise trip is cancelled for 2022.  However, my husband and I plan on using the incentive money to extend our next trip in 2023 (hoping that I earn it!)  The theme this month is ANYTHING CURRENT!

GORGEOUS LEAVES BUNDLE

The leaves in Ohio are JUST beginning to change colors a little.  It is late for them to be changing, but seems like they do change quickly once they start turning.  Here are a few of the colors I’ll find by looking out my back door!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Cinnamon Cider cardstock is embossed with the Timeworn Type Embossing Folder, then inked around the edges with Cinnamon Cider Ink.
  • The 2-1/4 x 3-1/2 Stitched Rectangle was cut from Basic White cardstock with the Die, then stamped off with the Gorgeous Leaves woodgrain image in Crumb Cake and the speckle stamp in stamped off Cinnamon Cider Ink.  The edges were sponged with Cinnamon Cider Ink.
  • Two 3/4 x 2 pieces of Cork Paper were placed behind the Stitched Rectangle.
  • The 12″ of Bumblebee Gingham Ribbon was adhered to the card, then the Stitched Rectangle element added on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The leaves were cut from Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie with the Intricate Leaves Die.  The small leaf was stamped with Bumblebee Ink and cut with the Intricate Leaves Die and popped up with Dimensionals over the other leaes.
  • Much Gratitude from Heartfelt Wishes stamp set was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on a 3/4 x 4 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock, then sponged around the edges with Cinnamon Cider Ink.
  • A Brushed Metallic Dot was added to the small leaf.
