It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week it is Non-Traditional Christmas Colors! I know…we do this theme every Christmas, but I LOVE it! Always so fun to see what everyone does!

SNOWY WONDER

Usually, I will go with snowflakes when designing for this theme…but this year I was inspired by the MANY colors of Christmas trees that are out there! For us, we have a traditional tree with coordinating ornaments for upstairs. Then for the basement tree, we have a white tree with bright multicolored (neon!) lights on it! This tree is the one that I add our huge Hallmark Frosty Friends series of ornaments (started the first year we got married 45 years ago!), my destination ornaments, and a few other snowmen ornaments I’ve collected over the years. Oh…and the kid’s baby ornaments!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Summer Splash cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
The tree from Snowy Wonder stamp set was stamped on Basic White cardstock with Peach Pie twice, Summer Splash twice, Petunia Pop twice, and Pretty in Pink three times. They were cut with the tree Snowy Wonder Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting in Snowy Wonder stamp set was stamped with Summer Splash Ink on Basic White and hand-cut around the letters, then added to the center tree with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of clear Drusy Adhesive Backed Embellishments give the sparkle it needs to really shine!

Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite Christmas Bundle

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Connie and Mary Blog Hop. This week our theme is “Favorite Christmas Bundle”! I had a real hard time choosing! Normally I’d go with a snowman, but no snowmen this year! Plus, there are so many bundles that I “like” this year…there really wasn’t one that stood out for me! I chose a bundle that actually went on my list first…Sparkling Snowflakes! I used this bundle for my Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip Swap a few months ago during preorder time.

SPARKLING SNOWFLAKES

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lost Lagoon cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was stamped with the Sparkling Snowflakes in Lost Lagoon and Fresh Freesia Inks diagonally going across the front.
It was embossed with the Snowflake Sky Embossing Folder and added to the front.
A 3 x 3 piece of Fresh Freesia cardstock was added to the front.
The 2 x 4 piece of Snowflake Magic Specialty Designer Paper was added on top (love the shimmer and shine!)
On Basic White cardstock, the snowflake was stamped with Fresh Freesia Ink, then punched with the 2″ Circle Punch (Online Exclusive). It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Sparkling Snowflakes was stamped with Lost Lagoon Ink on 3/4 x 2-3/4 Basic White cardstock and the ends cut at an angle.
The snowflake edge of the Sparkling Snowflakes Punch was tucked under the greeting.
A Lost Lagoon gem from the Faceted Gems Trio Pack was added to the center of the snowflake.

Saturday Blog Hop – We Wish You A Merry Christmas

This week’s Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is the song “We Wish You a Merry Christmas”. Thru the month we are featuring Christmas Carols as our themes and this one will focus on non-traditional Christmas colors on our cards!

HEARTFELT WISHES

I saw something on Pinterest that inspired me to make this Christmas Tree card using scraps of bright colored cardstock! I think it turned out SO bright and merry!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Polished Pink cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Soft Sea Foam cardstock was embossed with the Tasteful Textiles Embossing Folder.
A 1-1/2 x 5 piece of Basic White was cut with the Basic Borders Dies, then adhered to the bottom of the Soft Sea Foam and trimmed.
The greeting from Heartfelt Wishes was stamped in the “snowbank” with Polished Pink Ink.
The tree trunk is 1/2 x 2 and centered in the snowbank.
The tree “branches” are 1/2 strips of Polished Pink, Bermuda Bay and Granny Apple Green cardstock, adhered slightly wonked. The sizes are 2-3/4, 2-3/8, 1-7/8, 1-5/8 and 1-1/4. The top is 1/2 x 3/4.
The star was cut with the Stitched Stars Dies from Rose Gold Metallic Paper and popped up at the top with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
The ornaments are 1/4″ Circles from Rose Gold Metallic Paper added randomly with Mini Glue Dots.
