Saturday Blog Hop – Neglected Product

Happy Saturday! It’s time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop!  This week we are pulling out our “Neglected” stamp items!  You know…those ones you bought LAST year and haven’t used since and now they are retiring?  This It Starts With Art bundle I used a lot when it first came out, but haven’t used it since.  Thought it was time to do one last hurrah before it retires next month!  It will probably stay in my arsenal of stamps, because it is so perfect for a stamper, right?  I also haven’t used the Pigment Sprinkles except for a couple times!

IT STARTS WITH ART

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Granny Apple Green cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Bermuda Bay cardstock.
  • A 2-1/2 x 3-7/8 piece of Whisper White was spritzed with water and then sprinkled with the Pigment Inks (also retiring…boo!).  After dried, it was embossed with the Absolutely Argyle Embossing Folder and added to a 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 piece of Whisper White cardstock.
  • The greeting was stamped with Bermuda Bay Ink in the lower left corner.
  • The marker pens were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock, then colored with Granny Apple Green Combo, Bermuda Bay Combo and Smoky Slate Combo Stampin’ Blends.  They were cut with the Arts & Crafts Dies and added to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Strips of Granny Apple Green and Bermuda Bay cardstock were cut with the ribbon die in Arts & Crafts Dies, then added to the front under the tip of the marker.
  • A trio of Glitter Dots were added to the background for a little bling!

Saturday Blog Hop – Featuring the 3Ds

Happy Saturday! It’s time for another Saturday Blog Hop! This week our CCMC theme is Featuring the 3Ds…no, not 3D projects, but Dies, Designer Paper or Dazzle…using just a stamped greeting on your card!  I combined all three Ds for my card.  I haven’t used It Starts with Art since I first got in on preorder back in May, so pulled it out for this card.  I love this DSP pattern!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Coastal Cabana cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock.
  • The Follow Your Art DSP is cut to 3-3/4 x 5 and added on front.
  • A 3/4 x 4-1/4 strip of Coastal Cabana cardstock is added to the front.
  • A 1/8 x 3-1/2 strip of Silver Glimmer Paper is added on top.
  • The greeting from It Starts with Art is stamped with Memento Black and the label image with Pacific Point Ink, then cut with the Label Die in Arts & Crafts Dies.
  • The three buttons were cut from Pacific Point, Crushed Curry and Calypso Coral cardstock with the Arts & Crafts Dies, too.
  • Some White Baker’s Twine was tied in a bow and added to the button with a Mini Glue Dot.

CCMC563 – It Starts With Art

Wow…here we are…almost at the end of May already!  This is our last Thursday Challenge card for the month on Create with Connie and Mary and it is a nice, bright one for summer!

I used the new It Starts With Art stamp set on my card this week…seemed to fit with these bright colors!  I’m going to miss Berry Burst a lot!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Bermuda Bay cardstock was embossed with the new Button Button embossing folder.
  • A 1 x 5-1/4 piece of Brights (Bermuda Bay) striped designer paper was added along the bottom, along with a 3/8 strip of Pumpkin Pie Cardstock to hide the seam.
  • The Berry Burst Ribbon was wrapped around the left side and tied in a knot.
  • The stack of ribbons were stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Whisper White cardstock and colored with Pumpkin Pie, Lovely Lipstick and Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends.
  • Follow Your Art was stamped with Memento Black Ink and it was cut with the Layering Circle Shapes.  Then added to the Scallop Circle in Layering Circle Shapes.  That was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals!
