Creatively Simple 34 – He’s All That

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…this month it is “Happy”, and we each create a simple card every Tuesday using that theme!

HE’S ALL THAT

The He’s All That is one of the bundles available for demos to preorder this month before the new Annual Catalog goes live. I went back and forth on this, but I did love the labels in the dies and the DSP, so I went ahead and bought it! SO happy I did! I was pleasantly surprised!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Sahara Sand cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3 x 4-3/4 piece of He’s the Man Designer Paper was added on top.
Then a coordinating 1/2 x 3-3/4 strip of DSP was added across.
You Make Me Hoppy is one of the “stickers” in the He’s The Main DSP! They are already pre-cut and you just pop them out (but they aren’t adhesive backed). I added it to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Love This Guy from He’s All That stamp set was stamped with Cajun Craze Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the All That Dies.
The Crushed Curry Argyle pattern is also cut with the Dies. Both were added to the front.
Two Metallic Dots were added up on the left corner to finish.

Isn’t that a FUN masculine card? I know my kids will love it. Only one little stamped piece and the rest is the DSP! SO simple! CCMC558 – Geared Up Garage

Hello everyone! It’s Thursday and time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! This is a wonderful sketch…I love it, and it came together SO easily! We have a lot of June birthdays and Father’s Day in June, so I’m getting a head start on my cards!

I used Geared Up Garage on this card for my dad:

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Tranquil Tide cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Classic Garage Designer Paper.
A 1/4 x 4-1/2 strip of Basic Black cardstock was added across the front.
The Layered Circle was cut from Tranquil Tide cardstock and added on top.
The black car was cut from the Classic Garage DSP…love that they have some unique patterns like this to cut out! My dad had a 58 Chevy, so I’m thinking this is pretty close. It was added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The gears were cut with the Garage Gears Thinlit Dies from Crushed Curry cardstock and added to the front. I added Black Enamel Dots from Best Route Enamel Shapes to the centers.
The Best Dad greeting was stamped with Crushed Curry on Whisper White, then cut with the emblem Garage Gears Thinlit. It was popped up on the front.

CCMC556 – Country Home

Another Thursday has rolled around and it is time for the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! This time it is a fun sketch challenge!

I decided to use a set from the Annual Catalog, Country Road, for my card:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Early Espresso cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake was embossed with the Subtles Embossing Folder and then sponged around the edges for a distressed look.
The 2-1/2 x 3-3/4 piece of Wood Textures Designer Paper was added on the front with the Flax Ribbon cut into two small pieces and tucked on each side under the DSP.
The Whisper White was stamped with the branch image and Crushed Curry Ink, then cut with the Layering Circle and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The horse was stamped on Whisper White with Early Espresso ink, then hand-cut and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Happy Birthday from Country Road was stamped in the background with Early Espresso Ink.

That’s it! Pretty simple, but I really like how it turned out. This will be my dad’s birthday card, I’m sure, although that isn’t until June! Make sure to check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did this week with the sketch over on Create with Connie and Mary!

CCMC512 – Rooted in Nature

I love a good sketch challenge and I LOVE Rooted in Nature bundle! I had fun with the sketch challenge for today on Create with Connie and Mary!

With the temps in Ohio SO hot this week (I’m NOT complaining!), it was nice to think of cool shade trees while I made this card.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 NEW Shaded Spruce cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5 piece of Crumb Cake has a 1-3/4 x 5 and 3/4 x 5 piece of two different patterns from Nature’s Poem Desinger Paper adhered towards the bottom.
The tree slice was stamped with Crumb Cake Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and cut out. The greeting was stamped on top with Soft Suede Ink. It is popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The trio leaves and ginkgo (?) leaf were stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink on Whisper White and cut with the Nature’s Roots Framelits. The trio leaf was watercolored with a little more Shaded Spruce Ink and an AquaPainter. They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Calypso Coral Twine from Nature’s Twine package was tied in a bow and added to the leaves with a Mini Glue Dot.

I know I’ve said it before, but I LOVE that tree slice!!! OK…check out the rest of the Challenge Team over at Create with Connie and Mary to see what they did with this sketch challenge! Everyone’s card is SO different!
