Hello! It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This time it is a fun sketch to inspire us!

NATURE’S HARVEST

I haven’t had this Nature’s Harvest stamp set and dies out in a LONG while, so thought it perfect to use for today’s sketch challenge! I combined it with this year’s Celebrate Everything Designer Paper (can you tell I LOVE this paper?)

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Early Espresso cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded to form base card.
The 3 x 5-1/2 piece of yellow plaid Celebrate Everything DSP was added to a 3-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Cajun Craze cardstock and adhered to the front of the base card.
The coneflowers were stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Old Olive Stampin’ Blends and cut with the Harvest Dies.
The background cattails were cut from Crushed Curry cardstock with the Harvest Dies and sponged with Cajun Craze Ink along the edges. Add to background DSP with the coneflowers popped up in front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Thank you from Nature’s Harvest stamp set was stamped with Cajun Craze Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock, then cut with the small label die in the Harvest Dies. It was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Linen Thread was tied around the flower stem in a bow.
A trio of Rustic Metallic Dots were added to the background.

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s second Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…this month it is “Hello” and we each create a simple card every week using that theme!

I used Stampin’ Up!’s Nature’s Harvest for my simple card today. I love the colors of Soft Suede and Very Vanilla together, and the unexpected pop of Bumblebee color! I made these (with the word Welcome) for my new team members this month!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Soft Suede cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Very Vanilla was stamped with the flower from Nature’s Harvest in Soft Suede Ink in bottom right.
Using the Soft Suede Marker, draw a pool of ink on plastic, then add water. Use the AquaPainter to pick up the watered down ink and tap to splatter the ink in the background.
Cut a 3/4 x 2-3/4 strip of Harvest Meadow Designer Paper in the Bumblebee print, cut end at an angle, and adhere to front.
Cut a 1/2 x 1-1/4 piece of Soft Suede cardstock, stamp the word Hello from Create with Friends stamp set in Soft Suede Ink. Add to front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Tie a bow in gold Simply Elegant trim and add next to greeting with a Mini Glue Dot.
