CCMC741 – Nature’s Harvest

Hello!  It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  This time it is a fun sketch to inspire us!

NATURE’S HARVEST

I haven’t had this Nature’s Harvest stamp set and dies out in a LONG while, so thought it perfect to use for today’s sketch challenge!  I combined it with this year’s Celebrate Everything Designer Paper (can you tell I LOVE this paper?)

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Early Espresso cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded to form base card.
  • The 3 x 5-1/2 piece of yellow plaid Celebrate Everything DSP was added to a 3-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Cajun Craze cardstock and adhered to the front of the base card.
  • The coneflowers were stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, Old Olive Stampin’ Blends and cut with the Harvest Dies.
  • The background cattails were cut from Crushed Curry cardstock with the Harvest Dies and sponged with Cajun Craze Ink along the edges.  Add to background DSP with the coneflowers popped up in front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Thank you from Nature’s Harvest stamp set was stamped with Cajun Craze Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock, then cut with the small label die in the Harvest Dies.  It was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Linen Thread was tied around the flower stem in a bow.
  • A trio of Rustic Metallic Dots were added to the background.

SUOC132 Punched Coneflowers

I’ve been wanting to use the Festive Flower Builder Punch in a little different way and I’ve been thinking about Coneflowers for a while!  So, when the theme of the SUO Challenge this time is Punch It Up…I thought it was perfect!  So, first thing I did was to google what colors they came in.  I decided to use Rose Red with Rich Razzleberry sponging on them!

 

SUOC132 Festive Flower Builder Coneflowers

Here are the details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Hello Honey cardstock, folded in half.
  • On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of English Garden Designer Paper.
  • For each Cone Flower, I punched the larger petal on the Festive Flower Builder Punch from Rose Red, then sponged around the edges with Rich Razzleberry Ink.  The stems were hand cut from Old Olive and sponged with Mossy Meadow Ink.  The leaves I used the smaller petal on the Festive Flower Builder Punch and sponged Mossy Meadow around the edges.
  • The center is the Extra Wide Oval punched from Hello Honey, then cut in half on a curve.  I stamped the speckles from Glorious Grunge in Rich Razzleberry and sponged the edges with Rich Razzleberry, too.
  • I used a circle to add all the petals and center to, then popped it up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Thanks from Watercolor Wonder was stamped with Rich Razzleberry on Hello Honey cardstock and punched with the Extra Wide Oval.
  • Gold thread was wrapped around and added under the oval before placing it on the front of the card.  It adds just the right amount of sparkle!
