It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. Isn’t this a pretty color combination?

PANSY PATCH

When the retirement lists come out, I like to go back through my stamps and use them a couple more times before they retire! This color combo was cool to use with Pansy Patch Stamp Set! Those little pansy faces are popping up all around here this spring!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Berry Blisscardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was stamped with the Pansy Patch greeting in the upper right corner with Berry Burst Ink.
A 2 x 4 piece of Brights 6×6 DSP was added along the bottom.
A 3/8 x 4 strip of Petal Pink cardstock was added to hide the seam.
The pansy base was stamped off with Berry Burst Ink, the full strength for the darker detail. The center was stamped with Petal Pink and the “eye” with Basic Black Ink. They were cut with the Pansy Dies.
The leaves were stamped off with Coastal Cabana Ink and the veins full strength for the darker detail. They were cut with the Pansy Dies.
Some Linen Thread was wrapped in a circle several times and added to the front with the pansies and leaves added over top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Glossy Dots Assortment were added to the background!

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week we have a pretty vintage floral print!

PANSY PATCH BUNDLE

Of course…what else would I use uty the Pansy Patch Bundle when inspired by this print? I do love the colors…very unusual!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Basic White, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- Ink a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Window Sheet with Soft Sea Foam ink pad, then use spritzers to spritz with water. Place a 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock on top and transfer the ink. Trim to 3-3/4 x 5 and add to base card when dry.
- Cut one full pansy with Pansy Dies from Basic White and one from Pool Party cardstock with the trim pieces cut from Coastal Cabana cardstock. Cut pansy bud from Pool Party c/s and detail from Basic White c/s. Sponge the inside of the Basic White with Soft Sea Foam Ink and the Pool Party one with Coastal Cabana Ink. Assemble.
- Cut the centers from Blackberry Bliss cardstock with the Dies and add to center of pansies.
- Cut the base leaves and stem from Mossy Meadow and the detail from Old Olive cardstock. Assemble.
- Slightly blend the flowers and leaves and place on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- On a 3/4 x 2-1/2 piece of Basic White cardstock, stamp Happy Birthday from Pansy Patch stamp set with Mossy Meadow Ink and trim flag end. Add to front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Add Gold Gilded Gems to centers.

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week we have a beautiful patchwork quilt! I love the colors!

PANSY PATCH

I was wanting to pull my inspiration from the patchwork look of the quilt and the small prints, so I used three small print patterns in the Pansy Petals Designer Paper to create the “patchwork” look to my background.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pale Papaya cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and fold.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
Three pieces of Petal Patch Designer Paper were cut 1-1/2 x 3-1/4 and layered on the Basic White.
A piece of Basic White was cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and stamped with the Happy Birthday greeting in Memento Black Ink.
The pansy embossed background pieces were cut from Pale Papaya and the outside trim from Calypso Coral cardstock, they were glued today.
The center was cut from Fresh Freesia cardstock and added to the center.
The leaves background were cut from Soft Succulent cardstock and the detail from Evening Evergreen cardstock. All pieces were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
