IM62 – Lovely Lattice

It’s Monday and time for another Inspiration Monday on Create with Connie and Mary! I’m not sure exactly what these are…maybe cupcakes or pincushions? They certainly are pretty, though, and a wonderful inspiration!

LOVELY LATTICE

I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to use my Lovely Lattice SAB stamp set…I love coloring these pretty flowers! The lattice reminds me of the doily look in the inspiration photo. And, the beautiful Country Floral Embossing Folder (also a free SAB product!) just gives it the right amount of texture! The silver metallic pearls in the center of the flowers are also a tribute to the metallic pearls in the photo.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 Mint Macaron cardstock is embossed with the Country Floral Embossing Folder.
Two strips of Petal Pink Metallic Ribbon were wrapped around to the back of the Mint Macaron and secured, then added on top of the base card.
The Lovely Lattice stamp was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White, then cut with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits.
The image was colored with Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo, and Mint Macaron Stampin’ Blends.
Silver Metallic Pearls were added to the centers of the flowers.
Happy Mother’s Day from Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Mint Macaron cardstock and cut with the Rectangle Stitched Framelit, then adhered across the top.

Happy Valentine’s Day, everyone!!! What a special day celebrated with LOVE! But no, I didn’t go with a Valentine’s Day card today. The SUO Challenge for this week is FUN with Sale-A-Bration items! I used one of my favorite stamp sets, Avant Garden, for my Design Team card this week, but used it in a little different way! I was inspired by a card I saw from Amanda Bates.

Here are the details for my card:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pool Party cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of By the Shore Designer Paper has some Cucumber Crush Striped Ribbon wrapped across the front and secured in the back.
The 3-3/4 x 4-3/4 Garden Green cardstock layer is tucked under the ribbon on the front.
On the 3-1/2 x 4-1/2 Very Vanilla, stamp the stems and ground (leaf) with Chocolate Chip ink. Stamp the palm tree leaves with the floral image in Garden Green Ink on top of the stems.
Stamp the sand with the speckle image and Crumb Cake ink several times across the bottom.
Sponge Soft Sky ink around the three sides and over and around the palm trees for the sky/water.
The greeting from Avant Garden is stamped with Chocolate Chip ink.

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – It’s a Sale-A-Bration

Well, it has been a LONG process, but finally think my dad will get to go home today! His quadruple by-pass surgery was December 6th…it has been a whole month of slow progress, setbacks and rehab. He still has a lot of strength to gain back and will need home health nurses and PT/OT people to come to the house for a little while before he starts his formal cardiac rehab. But…we are very thankful! Thank you for your prayers!

It is Saturday and time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! This week’s theme is “It’s A Sale-A-Bration and Design Team could choose to use what product to use!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Peekaboo Peach cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White, I drew a pencil line across towards the top. I lined up the flower image and stamped three times across the top of the line with Peekaboo Peach Ink and twice under the line (flower upside down).
The centers were stamped with Tuxedo Black Ink and the leaves with Pear Pizzazz Ink.
The sprinkles were stamped off with Tip Top Taupe Ink.
The 1/8″ Whisper White Ribbon in the Occasions Catalog was placed across the front down the pencil line and adhered in the back.
The greeting from Avant Garden was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White and cut with the second from smallest Layering Oval Framelit, then adhered to the second from smallest scallop Layering Oval of Basic Black cardstock. They are popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

SUPER easy card, but I really love how it turned out!
