CSF932 – Scalloped Blooms

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge!  This week is a soft color palette for our challenge.

SCALLOPED BLOOMS

I’ve been wanting to do a flower card with layers of the scallops.  Today’s challenge was a perfect time!  The background Splashes of Sparkle DSP (unfortunately just retired) has lots of shimmer and shine!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Basic Beige cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Splashes of Sparkle DSP (now retired) was added to the background (love the metallic finish!)
  • The largest scallop used was cut from Daffodil Delight, the next two smaller scallops from Bubble Bath cardstock and the center from Daffodil Delight cardstock.  They were assembled together and adhered to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The stem is a 1/4″ Strip of Basic Beige cardstock and the leaves were die-cut from Basic Beige cardstock.  They were added under the scallop flower.
  • The greeting from Scalloped Blooms stamp set was stamped on 3/4 x 3 Basic White cardstock with Basic Black Ink and the end cut at an angle.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The pink Dreamy Flowers Embellishments were added to the center, greeting and the background.

IM440 – Fern & Flora

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is a variety of flower images!

FERN & FLORA

I thought to pick out one flower image and use the colors in the inspiration piece.  I love the new Hydrangea Hue blue…and it is so pretty with Bubble Bath!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Bubble Bath cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Hydrangea Hue cardstock was embossed with the Floral Spray Embossing Folder.
  • The flower image from Fern & Flora stamp set was stamped four times with Basic Black Hybrid Ink on Basic White cardstock, then colored with the Water Painter and Hydrangea Hue, Peaceful Pine and Bubble Bath Inks.  The centers were colored with Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends.
  • Each of the flowers were cut with the Scalloped Blooms Die, then assembled on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The label from Scalloped Blooms Die was cut from Bubble Bath cardstock and stamped with the greeting in Basic Black Hybrid Ink.
  • Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the side of the greeting.

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge!  We have a pretty color challenge this week and it put me in mind of flowers!

BOUTIQUE BLOSSOMS

I grabbed my Boutique Blossoms and Scalloped Blooms Bundles to create today’s card!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Petal Pink cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the Floral Spray Embossing Folder (used one of the ends) and added to the front.
  • A 1-1/4 x 4 strip of Petal Pink cardstock was added across the front.
  • The Scalloped Blooms Die was cut from Crumb Cake cardstock and stamped with the greeting in Peaceful Pine Ink.  It was added to the front.
  • The flower outlines were stamped three times on Basic White cardstock with Crumb Cake Ink and the insides with Petal Pink Ink.  They were cut with the Dies and added around the scallop circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The leaf outlines were stamped with Peaceful Pine Ink and the insides with Peaceful Pine Ink.  They were cut and tucked around the flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Three small flowers were cut from Crumb Cake cardstock using the die.  They were tucked around the flowers.
  • Some Petal Pink Dear Dots were added to the centers.

IM435 – Scalloped Blooms

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is a happy birthday poster!

SCALLOPED BLOOMS

Actually I was kind of stumped with this inspiration…I don’t have any current cake, balloon or present stamp images!  But then I remembered the Bee Builder Punch body kind of looks like a balloon!  Bingo!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Blueberry Bushel cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • I made a rainbow ink pad using reinkers to stamp the Scalloped Blooms Happy Birthday image with a rainbow of colors in the background of my 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Basic White cardstock.  I didn’t have any baby wipes, so I used a paper towel (a baby wipe would make the colors brighter!), spritzed it with water and added 4 drops each of Daffodil Delight, Blueberry Bushel, Granny Apple Green and Poppy Parade reinkers.  It was added to the front of the base card.

  • A 1-3/4 x 4-1/4 piece of Granny Apple Green cardstock was stamped towards the right side with the Scalloped Blooms happy birthday greeting in Basic Black Hybrid Ink.  It was added across the front towards the bottom.
  • The body from the Bee Builder Punch was punched from Granny Apple Green, Highland Heather, Blueberry Bushel, Poppy Parade and Daffodil Delight cardstocks, then added in a cluster to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The White Baker’s Twine Essentials was cut into five 3″ strings and adhered with a Stampin’ Dimensional under the bottom balloon.  Some more white Baker’s Twine was tied in a bow and added to the balloon base with a Mini Glue Dot.
  • A White Gel Pen (love that we are carrying these again!) was drawn on the balloons for the highlight.
  • A trio of white Sunset Sparkle Sequins were added to the background around the greeting.

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge!  We have a bright color combination for you to try this week!

BOUTIQUE BLOSSOMS

I resisted this bundle on my first preorder, but after looking at my current stamp sets, I realized that I really didn’t have a lot of current flower sets!  This bundle has both stamp images and die-cut flowers…so I love that!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Mossy Meadow cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
  • A 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of striped Artisan Sketched Garden DSP was colored with Poppy Parade, Mossy Meadow and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends alternating down the stripes.  It was added on the right edge of the Basic White layer.
  • The large Boutique Blossoms flower was cut from Poppy Parade and the two smaller flowers from Daffodil Delight, the leaf branches from Mossy Meadow using the Boutique Blossoms Dies.  They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting from Scalloped Blooms stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut withe the little Scalloped Blooms Die.
  • Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and the greeting added on top, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of red Dear Dots were added to the background.
