Saturday Blog Hop – Spring is here

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Ahhh, by the time we hit the end of March, we know that here in Ohio we can pretty much count on SPRING and warm weather. We may have a day or two of snow…but it never lasts.

DAINTY DELIGHT

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Fresh Freesia cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
Two 1/2 x 5-1/4 strips of Flowers & More DSP (Host) were added to the sides of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock.
The center was blended with Pool Party Ink for the background using a Blending Brush. The Dainty Delight image was stamped with Memento Black Ink. It was colored with Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends.
Celebrate You from Dainty Delight stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Fresh Freesia cardstock and punched with the Oval Duo Punch.
A 5″ length of Fresh Freesia Organdy Ribbon was folded in half and added to the back of the oval, then to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of purple In Color Opal Rounds were added to the background.

IM220 – Flowering Tulips

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week we have a pretty tulip tablescape that is perfect for spring!

FLOWERING TULIPS

I decided to make some pink tulips with my Flowering Tulips stamp set! I love the Tulip Dies, but the stamps are really pretty, too, and I haven’t used them as much! I created a “vase” from cutting part of a circle off. And I LOVE Rae Dunn…those plates are SO fun!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Polished Pink cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 piece of wood paneled Heart & Home Designer Paper was placed on the front.
- A 1-3/4 x 4 piece of Pattern Party black/white check pattern DSP was added to the bottom.
- The Layering Circle was cut from Basic White cardstock, then the top partially cut off. The greeting from Flowering Tulips was stamped with Memento Black Ink on it. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The flowers were stamped and stamped off with Polished Pink Ink (I would LOVE a light pink the color of these stamped off ones!) on Basic White cardstock. The centers stamped with Memento Black Ink. They were cut with the Tulips Dies.
- The stems and leaves were stamped with Soft Succulent Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Tulip Dies. A couple small leaves were directly cut from Soft Succulent cardstock.
- A trio of yellow In Color Jewels were added to the background and vase..

CCMC699 – Hello Ladybug

Hello! It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This is a fun sketch this week, so we hope you try it!

HELLO LADYBUG

The shape of the focal point lends itself to this cute little ladybug, don’t you think? I used the fun Sunshine & Rainbows (free SAB) for the background.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Magenta Madness cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The Sunshine & Rainbows DSP was cut from two different patterns to 2-3/4 x 3-3/4 and two 1 x 3-3/4 pieces.
The DSP was added to a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pool Party cardstock.
Some Linen Thread was wrapped around the Pool Party layers twice and tied in a bow.
The Hippo & Friends Die shape was cut from Basic White cardstock and stamped with the Hello Ladybug greeting in Memento Black Ink and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. (I bought these dies JUST for all the labels in them!)
A 1/4 x 3-1/2 strip of Granny Apple Green was added across the top of the label.
The ladybug in Hello Ladybug was stamped with Memento Black Ink onto Basic White, then with Magenta Madness for the body. It was hand-cut and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two yellow In Color Jewels were added to the Granny Apple Green strip.
