It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. The month of July we do our Case the Catalog Challenge! These are always fun, and we love to see what the Challenge Team comes up with! They can copy the color combo, the stamp set, the layout…or any combination of the above! Lots of creative expression.

DAINTY DELIGHT

I wanted to mimic the coloring aspect of the catalog sample but found I don’t have a lot of coloring stamps left! Funny how that changes over time! I pulled out Dainty Delight just so I could use my Stampin’ Blends like the catalog photo!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lost Lagoon cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3-3/4 x 5 piece of striped Vellum Basics was added on top.
The large Deckled Rectangle was cut with the dies from Basic White cardstock, then colored in the center with a Blending Brush and Pool Party Ink. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The flower image was stamped on scrap Basic White cardstock with Memento Black Ink and colored with Berry Bliss Combo, Daffodil Delight Combo, Tranquil Tide Combo, Granny Apple Green Combo Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the dies and added to the deckled rectangle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 1 x 2-1/2 piece of Berry Bliss cardstock and the end cut at an angle. It was tucked under the flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of pink Tinsel Gems Four Pack were added to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Spring is here

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Ahhh, by the time we hit the end of March, we know that here in Ohio we can pretty much count on SPRING and warm weather. We may have a day or two of snow…but it never lasts.

DAINTY DELIGHT

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Fresh Freesia cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
Two 1/2 x 5-1/4 strips of Flowers & More DSP (Host) were added to the sides of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock.
The center was blended with Pool Party Ink for the background using a Blending Brush. The Dainty Delight image was stamped with Memento Black Ink. It was colored with Fresh Freesia, Pale Papaya, Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends.
Celebrate You from Dainty Delight stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Fresh Freesia cardstock and punched with the Oval Duo Punch.
A 5″ length of Fresh Freesia Organdy Ribbon was folded in half and added to the back of the oval, then to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of purple In Color Opal Rounds were added to the background.

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. How about a pretty woven tapestry to inspire you this week?

DAINTY DELIGHT

Again, the Designer Paper is doing all the work on my card…plus a couple die-cuts and a stamped greeting!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pool Party cardstock was added to the front.
- The 3 x 5-1/4 piece of By the Bay Designer Paper was added towards the left side.
- The stems from Dainty Delight Dies were cut from Mint Macaron cardstock, the flower tops from So Saffron cardstock, then sponged with Mint Macaron and Daffodil Delight Inks. They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A 3/4 x 3-3/4 piece of So Saffron was cut at an angle and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A 1/4 x 2-3/4 piece of Night Of Navy cardstock was added on top of the So Saffron piece.
- Celebrate You from Dainty Delight stamp set was stamped with Night of Navy Ink on a 7/8 x 2-1/2 piece of Basic White cardstock and the end cut at an angle.
- A trio of blue Glossy Dots were added to the background.

CS73 – Dainty Delight

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…we are kicking off the new year with the theme of “LOVE”. Time to get ready for Valentine’s Day, right? We’ll create a simple card every Tuesday in January using that theme!

DAINTY DELIGHT

My first time using the new Stampin’ Up! Dainty Delight Bundle and I made a card that is mostly from the coordinating Dainty Flowers Designer Paper! I also used the Mini Pocket Envelope Die for the first time!

Stampin’ Details:

Base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Fresh Freesia cardstock was embossed with the Cane Weave Embossing Folder and added to the front.
A 3/4 x 4 piece of Dainty Flowers DSP was added across the front.
The Mini Pocket Envelope was cut with the die from the Dainty Flowers DSP, adhered together, then added to the front. This pocket is a perfect size for a gift card!
I made a small notecard by stamping the flower image with Old Olive Ink on a 1-3/4 x 3-1/4 piece of Basic White that is layered on a 2 x 3-1/2 piece of Rich Razzleberry cardstock. It was colored with Fresh Freesia, Old Olive, and Starry Sky Stampin’ Blends, then tucked in the pocket.
The greeting from Dainty Delight stamp set was stamped on Old Olive cardstock with Starry Sky Ink, then cut with the scallop label from the Mini Pocket Envelope Dies.
The daisy flower was cut with the Dainty Delight Dies from Rich Razzleberry cardstock and the center from Starry Sky cardstock, then added to the front of the pocket.
A trio of gold Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins were added to the background.
