IM380 – Storybook Friends

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is a cute bunny in a daisy patch!

STORYBOOK FRIENDS

I thought one more spring card for Easter would be fun to make!  I love the neutrals in this one…with just a POP of yellow!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Perennial Garden DSP was added to the front.
  • The bunny from Storybook Friends was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Crumb Cake Combo and Light Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends.  It was cut with the Storybook Friends Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Several flowers were cut from Basic White cardstock with the new Impressions Abloom Dies (Online Exclusive), the centers from Darling Ducking cardstock (new In Color) and the leaves from Crumb Cake cardstock.  All were assembled around the bunny and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the centers with Tombow Multipurpose Glue.
  • Happy Spring from Storybook Friends was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1/2 x 2-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock and the end cut at an angle.  It was tucked around the bunny and the flowers with Stampin’  Dimensionals.

Saturday Blog Hop – Easter Wishes

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week our theme is “Easter Wishes”.  Our Easter is VERY late this year…the end of April!  But here’s a few ideas for you!

STORYBOOK FRIENDS

This Storybook Friends stamp set and coordinating designer paper is very Beatrix Potter looking, so I wanted to switch it up a little and use some more modern touches!  I found the patterns in the Wildflower Birthday DSP pack to work perfectly!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Soft Sea Foam cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock is added on top.
  • A 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 piece of green dotted Wildflower Birthday DSP is added towards the left side.
  • A 1 x 5-1/4 piece of pink gingham Wildflower Birthday DSP is added over it towards the left side.
  • The daisy print tag from Wildflower Birthday DSP was cut out.  A 1 x 2-1/2 strip of the green dotted DSP was torn across the top and added to the bottom of the tag.
  • Some Gold Textured Thread was tied around the top in a bow.  The tag was added at an angle to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The yellow die cut daisy flower and small leaf were added to the top of the tag with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
  • The mom bunny and kid bunny were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic Whitecardstock, colored with Bubble Bath, Peach Pie, and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends, cut with the Storybook Friends Dies and added to the front of the tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Easter Greetings from Storybook Friends was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Soft Sea Foam cardstock and punched with the 1-1/2 circle and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of peach 2024-26 In Color Shimmer Gems were added to the background/circle and a pink one to the center of the daisy!

IM372 – Storybook Garden

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is a garden theme!

STORYBOOK GARDENS

I’m using the fun Storybook Gardens bundle for my garden theme card!  Worked out pretty well!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Daffodil Delight cardstock, scored at 2-1/8 and 4-1/4 and then folded the shorter flap back on itself for a Z fold.
  • A 2- x 5-3/8 piece of Floral Delight DSP was added to the front flap.
  • A 4-1/8 x 5-3/8 layer of Basic White cardstock was added to the center and stamped with the greeting from Simply Said in Early Espresso Ink.
  • A 3/4 x 5-3/8 strip of Floral Delight coordinating DSP was added inside on the left edge.

  • The largest Stylish Shapes circle was cut from the Crumb Cake textured Floral Delight DSP print.  It was stamped with the Storybook Friends greeting across the top in Early Espresso Ink.
  • A 1 x 3 strip of Early Espresso cardstock was torn across the top and added to the bottom of the circle, hand-trim around the edge of the circle to fit.
  • The watering can solid image was cut with the Storybook Gardens die from Smoky Slate cardstock and the detail from Silver Foil Paper.  It was adhered together and added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The basket was stamped with Pecan Pie Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and cut with the die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Three greenery pieces were cut from Old Olive cardstock and added around the basket.
  • The shovel was stamped with Pecan Pie Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Crumb Cake and Smoky Slate Stampin’ Bends, then cut with the die and added to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  •  A small flower cluster was hand-cut from the Floral Delight DSP and tucked inside the basket.
  • Stampin’ Dimensionals were added to the left side of the circle, and it was added to the front flap towards the top.
  • Two Tiny Bee Trinkets were added to the circle and inside by the greeting.

Saturday Blog Hop – Casing Lori de Groot 2025

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. For the next several weeks we will be “Casing the Designer”. Each week we have picked a designer and will select a card she designed from the past year. We will use the Colors and Layout of her design and recreate our version using new stamps/bundles and products!

This week we are “Casing Lori de Groot”!  I love her style!

Here’s how I used the colors and layers of her card to create my own version with an updated stamp set, Storybook Friends!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Peach Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the SAB Starstruck Embossing Folder (FREE with $60 purchase!)
  • The Spotlight on Nature circle was cut with the die from another SAB product, Bloom Impressions 12×12 Designer Paper.
  • The carrot patch from Storybook Friends was stamped with Memento Back Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Dark Peach Pie, Dark Lemon Lime Twist and Light Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends.  It was hand-cut around the top and added to the circle and trimmed.
  • The bunny was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock and colored with Light Bubble Bath, Crumb Cake Combo and Lemon Lime Twist Combo.  It was cut with the Storybook Friends Dies and added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The Storybook Friends greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 1/2 x 2 piece of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and the end cut at an angle.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the greeting.
  • A trio of Antique Pearls were added to the background for a little bling.

CS180 – Storybook Friends

This month our Creatively Simple challenge theme is Designer Paper as the focus on our cards!

STORYBOOK FRIENDS

I admit that I wasn’t sure about this suite of products at first…the small size of the images was a little intimidating!  But after working with the set for a little bit, it actually was fun to use!  The only stamping on here is the greeting…the rest is the Designer Paper!  Made it pretty quick to pull together!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Old Olive cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 piece of the house print in Storybook Moments DSP was added to the base card.
  • A 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Pecan Pie cardstock was added on top.
  • The circles were cut from Calypso Coral, Basic Beige and Old Olive cardstock with the Stylish Shapes Dies.
  • The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on the Basic Beige circle and added to the front towards the bottom.
  • The seed packets die-cut from the Storybook Moments DSP was added to the Calypso Coral circle and adhered on the front.
  • The chipmunk die-cut from the Storybook Moments DSP was added to the Old Olive circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the circle added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, too.
  • A trio of Antique Pearls were added to the background of the Pecan Pie strip.
  • Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added above the greeting with a Mini Glue Dot.
