This month our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop is featuring blog hop themes from popular Christmas carols. This week is the song “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree”…but we can use any types of trees on our cards.
WHIMSICAL TREES
I’ve had this tree and background sitting in pieces on my desk for probably a month. I had started a card with it and then changed my mind. So, this challenge encouraged me to get the pieces out again and finish the card! Of course, I pulled the colors from the Whimsy & Wonder Designer Paper!
Stampin’ Details:
- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Misty Moonlight cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Blushing Bride cardstock was added on top.
- A 1 x 4 strip of Whimsy & Wonder DSP was added to the bottom.
- A Wonderful Snowflake was adhered to the upper left corner.
- The solid tree in the Christmas Trees Dies was cut from Polished Pink cardstock and the garland from Rose Gold Metallic Paper. It was adhered together, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The Stitched Snowflakes were cut from Soft Sea Foam and Misty Moonlight cardstocks, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Tis the Season from Christmas to Remember (I love this type of greeting image!) was inked with Misty Moonlight and stamped on Basic White cardstock, then hand-cut and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Many Genial Gems were added to the center of the snowflakes and the background!
