It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! It’s a fun color challenge this week!

MOST WONDERFUL

I love to use stamp sets in unexpected ways! This Most Wonderful stamp set I think would primarily be used for Christmas…but I love the autumn look I achieved using these colors!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Old Olive cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crushed Curry cardstock was added on top.
The 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the wreath in Old Olive Ink in the center. The leaves were colored with Crushed Curry Marker (or use the Dark Darling Duckling Stampin’ Blends). It was adhered to the Old Olive layer.
Two leaves from Amber Autumn Dies were cut from Old Olive cardstock and wheat from Crushed Curry cardstock, they were added to the right side with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Old Olive Linen Thread was wrapped several times and then adhered over the leaves with a Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Amber Autumn was stamped with Old Olive Ink on 1 x 2-1/2 piece of Basic Beige cardstock and the end cut as a banner. It was added over the leaves with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some green Low-Profile Shimmer Dots were added to the wreath and next to the greeting.

Saturday Blog Hop – Fall Favorites

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week’s challenge is “Fall Favorites”…what is your favorite thing of fall? I love pumpkins…and the colors of bright orange and purple together for fall! One of these days I’ll do my porch in entirely these colors!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Gorgeous Grape cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 3-3/4 x 5 piece of black and white Modern Christmas Designer Paper was colored with Gorgeous Grape Ink using a Blending Brush and added to the front.
A 1-1/2 x 4 piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock was stamped with the greeting in Memento Black Ink and added towards the bottom.
The Everyday Arches was cut with the die from Basic White cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Amber Autumn pumpkin image was stamped on Basic White cardstock with Memento Black Ink and colored with Dark Darling Duckling, Timid Tiger Combo, Dark Pumpkin Pie, Granny Apple Green and Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Old Olive Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the bottom of the pumpkins with a Mini Glue Dot.
A trio of Purple Fine Shimmer Gems were added to the background.

CS212 – Amber Autumn

Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “Autumn Wishes”! I love all the colors of fall!

AMBER AUTUMN

Again, these acorns are all over my backyard right now and the squirrels are busy gathering them!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Cajun Craze cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded to form the base card.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Very Vanilla is added on top.
Two 3/4 x 4-1/2 strips of Gathering Together Designer Paper were added behind a 2-3/4 x 5-1/2 piece of leaf Gathering Together Designer Paper, then added to the front.
A 3/4 x 4-1/2 strip Early Espresso cardstock was added in the center.
The circle was cut from Very Vanilla cardstock the Stylish Circles Die and stamped with the greeting in Early Espresso Ink in the lower left side.
The acorn cluster was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock (should have used Very Vanilla!) and colored with Cajun Craze, Darling Duckling, Pecan Pie and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Cajun Craze/Gold Dots were added to the background.

IM400 – AMBER AUTUMN

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is a bunch of acorns!

AMBER AUTUMN

We have several huge OLD oak trees in our backyard! So many that in a bad windstorm, the acorns will start pinging the house! And, during the fall, the squirrels are SO busy gathering all the nuts before the winter weather arrives. Funny to see them so busy! Today’s inspiration reminded me that time of year will soon be here!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Old Olive cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Beige cardstock was embossed with the Gathering Leaves Embossing Folder (available Sept 3) and adhered to the front.
A 3 x 3-1/2 piece of woodgrain Gathering Together Designer Paper was added towards the left with a 3/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Old Olive stripe was added across it.
The acorn was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Pecan Pie, Crumb Cake, Lemon Lime Twist and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on 1/2 x 2-1/2 Basic White cardstock and the end cut at an angle. It was added over the green stripe with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Early Espresso Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the stem of the acorn.
A trio of Neutral Matte Dots were added to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Orange Colored Sky

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This month we will be featuring song titles with colors in them! This week’s theme is “Orange Colored Sky” by Nat King Cole and we are to use any shade of orange on our cards!

AMBER AUTUMN

I immediately thought of pumpkins and how they come in a variety of orange shades of color! I love this new Amber Autumn Bundle (available Sept 3).

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Timid Tiger cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
The second 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock was cut with the background Amber Autumn Die, then brushed with Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight Inks. It was trimmed to 3-3/4 x 5 and added to the front with Monoadhesive Glue.
The Party Banner was cut from the Celebratory Sips Designer Paper and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A 3/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Peach Pie cardstock was added towards the bottom of the banner.
The pumpkins were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Peach Pie, Pumpkin Pie, Timid Tiger, Old Olive and Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Amber Autumn Die and added to the banner with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Blessed was inked with Pumpkin Pie Ink on 1/2 x 2 piece of Basic White cardstock and the ends cut at an angle. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some orange Party Dots (Last Chance) were added to the background.

CS208 – Autumn Trees

Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “Animals”! It’s the last one with this theme! Since I just received my preorder, I’ve been anxious to play with this stamp set, Autumn Trees.

AUTUMN TREES

I always like tree sets and this one comes with bonus deer! Our home backs to woods, so we see a lot of deer passing by. One of the mamas had twins this spring!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Basic Beige cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Need for Tweed DSP was added across the bottom of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Old Olive cardstock.
Some Early Espresso Linen Thread was wrapped around twice and secured in the back, then the layer added to the base card.
Basic White cardstock was cut with the Textured Notes Die and stamped with the Autumn Trees tree on each end in Old Olive Ink, then down at the bottom for “shrubs” twice.
The ground was colored with Dark Crumb Cake and the tree limbs with Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. The tree leaves were colored with Lemon Lime Twist Combo Stampin’ Blends.
The deer was stamped with Pecan Pie Ink on Basic White and colored with the Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends, then cut with the Autumn Trees Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Amber Autumn stamp set was stamped with Pecan Pie on Basic Beige cardstock and cut with the Textured Notes Die, then added to the front.
A trio of green Low Profile Sparkle Dots were added to the background and label.
