Saturday Blog Hop – Casing Debbie Henderson 2026

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. For the next several weeks we will be “Casing the Designer”. Each week we have picked a designer and will select a card she designed. We will use the Colors or Layout of her design and recreate our version using NEW stamps/bundles/DSP! For our first “Case the Designer” week we are “Casing Debbie Henderson”!

Here’s the card I selected from her post last year.

HOBBY HAVEN

And here is the card that I recreated using her layout and the Hobby Haven Designer Paper!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Coastal Cabana cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 1-1/4 x 5-1/2 strip of Hobby Haven DSP was added across the bottom.
A second 2-1/4 x 5-1/2 strip of coordinating Hobby Haven DSP was added across the top.
The 1/2 x 5-1/4 strip of Cajun Craze cardstock was stamped with the Simply Said greeting in Memento Black Ink.
An Everyday Arches was cut with the Die from Crumb Cake cardstock and added flat to the front.
Several die-cuts from the DSP were added to the front of the arch.
A trio of Cajun Craze & Gold Dots were added to the background on the arch.

Perfect Mix for Easter

I love being able to use stamps for something other than their “original” purpose. You might think that Perfect Mix stamp set is all about baking…and you’d be right! However, I think this makes a sweet Easter card, too! Both my older grandchildren love to help with baking…so this would be a great card for either one of them! I chose the bright colors in the Festive Birthday Designer Paper for my color inspiration.

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Melon Mambo cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Whisper White.
The 3/4 x 5-1/2 striped pattern in Festive Birthday DSP was placed across the front.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black below it.
Two Layering Circles were cut from the Festive Birthday DSP. The smaller was added behind the DSP strip and the larger added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The carton of eggs was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Whisper White, colored with Crushed Curry, Pumpkin Pie, Tempting Turquoise, Melon Mambo, Emerald Envy and Crumb Cake Stampin’ Write Markers and an AquaPainter. It was hand-cut and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A few Emerald Envy Enamel Shapes were added for a little bling.

LOVE the colorful eggs! They are just SO fun! Again, used this set in a little different way!

Control Freaks Jan 2017 Blog Hop

Welcome to the January Tour de Freaks! Our theme this month is ANYTHING from the Occasions or Sale-A-Brations catalog, so I just HAD to play along! As you take the blog hop, you should get LOTS of great ideas! You’ve probably just come from Julie Davison’s blog, aren’t her projects fun? If you’ve arrived prior to the 20th, please note that not all links may be working correctly.

I think this sweet little stamp set, Perfect Mix, has been completely overlooked in the Occasions Catalog! I couldn’t resist getting it…I’m a much better baker than cook! I love to make candies, cookies, fun loaves of bread, package them up and give them away! These tags or little notes would be perfect to include with the treat! And, the notes themselves are all wrapped up in a cute little matchbook style package, so they would be a wonderful hostess gift all by themselves!

Some details:

The Melon Mambo cardstock notes are cut 3 x 6, and scored at 3.
A 1-1/4 x 2-3/4 piece of Pop of Pink Designer Paper is adhered to the bottom of a 2-3/4 x 2-3/4 piece of Whisper White cardstock.
Some 1/8″ Melon Mambo Stitched Ribbon hides the seam and is adhered in back, then the Whisper White layer added to the front of the Melon Mambo note.
The images were stamped on Whisper White cardstock with Memento Black Ink, use the Watercolor Pencils and Blender Pen to color, then cut with the Layering Circles Framelits, and adhere to a larger Scallop Layering Circle of Melon Mambo. Pop them up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The matchbook is 3-1/2 x 8 Basic Black, scored at 3-1/4, 3-1/2 and 7-1/4. Staple the bottom close to the fold. Add a 1/2 x 3-1/2 strip of coordinating Pop of Pink DSP to the front to hide the staple.
For the front, a 3-1/4 x 3 piece of Whisper White cardstock has a 1-1/4 x 3-1/4 piece of DSP along the bottom. The mixing bowl is stamped with Memento Black and cut out. The greeting is offset on a larger Layering Circle, and the Scallop Layering Circle is cut from DSP. A little 1/8″ Ribbon bow is added with a Mini Glue Dot.

CCMC436 Yummy Little Christmas

It’s time for the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge and we have a pretty non-traditional Christmas color combination, although the Silver does had that touch of sparkle the holidays usually bring!

I used a stamp set that I bought to make a card set for the Create with Connie and Mary November Mini Session…the cards turned out SO cute and it really is a fun stamp set to play with! Using these colors really takes it in a different direction!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
Across the top of the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Soft Sky, the medium size utensil “snowflake” was randomly stamped with Soft Sky Ink.
Along the bottom is a 1-1/2 x 4 piece of In Colors Patterns Paper Stack.
To hide the seam, a piece of the Silver Glitter Ribbon was added and secured in the back.
The mixer and greeting from Yummy Little Christmas were placed on one clear block, then stamped with Versamark on Whisper White cardstock and embossed with Silver Embossing Powder. It was cut with the large Stitched Shapes Oval Framelit and then layered on the larger Scallop Oval cut from Sweet Sugarplum carsdtock. The oval was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Love the details of the stitching, the embossing…and the scalloped oval all together! Make sure to check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did this week with the color challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary!
