Saturday Blog Hop – Easter Favors

It’s Saturday and time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Our design team theme is “Easter Favors” this week! I love little 3D projects, so can’t wait to see what everyone came up with this week!

Here are the details:

Stamp two of the largest Jar of Fun images onto Whisper White with Memento Black Ink, then cut with the Everyday Jars Framelits. Use an aquaPainter and Pool Party Ink to watercolor the background inside the jar.
Stamp two jar tops with Daffodil Delight Ink on Whisper White and cut with the jar topper framelit, then add to the top of the jars.
Stamp the bunny, carrot and greeting with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White and cut with the Basket Builder Framelits. Cut the grass from Wild Wasabi cardstock and add to the front of the jar. Color the bunny with Blushing Bride and Melon Mambo Markers and the carrot with Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive markers.
Add the greeting across the top of the jar.
Make a box bottom by cutting a 3 x 3-1/2 piece of Whisper White and score at 1″ on all sides. Cut the tabs and assemble the box bottom with Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Adhere the jars to two wider sides of the box bottom. Wrap Daffodil Delight Baker’s Twine around the top of the jars to close and tie a bow.
Fill box with assorted candies!

CCMC451 Basket Bunch

It’s Thursday and time for the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! I always get excited about the sketch challenges the most…find them a little easier than the color challenges sometimes! lol! I decided to use my Basket Bunch Bundle again since we are getting close to Easter!

And here’s my card. I ended up really liking this color combination! I’m really bummed that the SAB Glimmer Paper is no longer available. Glad I got at least one package of it!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Bermuda Bay cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 3-3/4 x 5 Pool Party layer was embossed with the Sparkle Embossing Folder (one of the FREE SAB choices that Stampin’ Up! just added!)
A 1/2 x 4-1/4 strip of Bermuda Bay Glimmer Paper was added across the front (no longer available).
A 2-3/4 x 3-1/4 piece of Very Vanilla has a 1-1/4 x 2-3/4 piece of Cupcakes & Carousels DSP adhered along the left side. Happy Easter from Crazy About You was stamped with Memento Black Ink in the lower right corner. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A circle Stitched Shapes Framelit was cut from Peekaboo Peach cardstock and added to the front.
The bunny and basket were stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Blushing Bride, Peekaboo Peach and Crumb Cake Markers. They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I didn’t even notice that little Easter Basket until I was working on this card! TOO cute! One of the grandkids will be getting this card!

SUOC171 Basket Bunch

The theme this time on SUO Challenges is “A Favorite April Theme”. Wow…didn’t quite know where to go with this one, but figured since the daffodils are in full bloom around my neighborhood, I couldn’t go wrong with a bunch of them in a basket! Have I mentioned how much I LOVE the Basket Bunch Bundle? I can’t believe I almost didn’t buy it!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Peekaboo Peach cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White.
Across the Whisper White is a 3/4 x 4 strip of Affectionately Yours Designer Paper. Under that is a strip of Playful Palette Washi Tape.
The greeting was stamped with Chocolate Chip Ink.
The basket details were cut from Chocolate Chip cardstock and the outline of the basket from Crumb Cake cardstock, then adhered together and placed on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The one bow, three daffodil flowers, three stems and five leaves were stamped with Memento Black Ink, then colored with Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Wild Wasabi Stampin’ Write Markers and cut with the Basket Builder Framelits. They were adhered to the inside of the basket.
Finally, a trio of the In Color Enamel Shapes were added to the front.

CCMC450 Basket Bunch

It’s Thursday and time for the Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! Love the soft colors in this week’s color challenge, don’t you?

The colors reminded me of Easter, so I used my new Basket Bunch Bundle (say that 3 times fast!) on today’s card!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Mint Macaron, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White, three strips of the Playful Palette Washi Tape were added and wrapped around the back to secure in place.
The basket and handle were stamped with Memento Black on So Saffron cardstock, the white chocolate bunny on Very Vanilla cardstock, the bow and flower on Sweet Sugarplum cardstock, and the eggs on Whisper White cardstock and colored with the So Saffron, Mint Macaron and Sweet Sugarplum Stampin’ Write Markers.
They were all cut with the Basket Builder Framelits, along with some Mint Macaron grass for the basket.
1/8″ circles of So Saffron cardstock were punched for the center of the bow and flower.
The basket and accessories were added to the front of a piece of Whisper White, then added to a layer of Mint Macaron Glimmer Paper (sorry…this FREE SAB item is now sold out!)
The greeting from Basket Bunch was stamped across the top with Memento Black Ink!
