CCM Saturday Blog Hop – Country Christmas

This week’s CCM Saturday Blog Hop theme is “Country Christmas”. What a fun theme! I know my own home has gone from glittery gold, copper and bronze decorations to red check and teal colors mixed in for a more country farmhouse look!

CHRISTMAS BARN

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Cherry Cobbler cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was sponged across the top with Pool Party Ink and stamped with the little flurries in Trees For Sale stamp set with Pool Party Ink. The background was colored with Pool Party using a Blending Brush. The sun was sponged with So Saffron Ink towards the middle.
The greeting from Christmas Barn stamp set was stamped with Evening Evergreen Ink towards the bottom.
The barn was stamped with Memento Black Ink and mostly colored with Real Red Combo Stampin’ Blends, leaving a few white areas. The Dark Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends were applied over the Real Red to darken the color all over. The roof and trim was colored with Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends and the windows with Light So Saffron Blends. The barn was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The silo was cut with the Barn Dies from Cherry Cobbler cardstock and sponged with Gray Granite Ink to darken. It was added beside the barn.
Three trees and the wreath were stamped with Evening Evergreen Ink and colored with Light Soft Succulent and SU 300 Stampin’ Blends. They were cut with the Barn Dies and the trees added to the background. The wreath was added to the barn.

Hello! It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. It’s a fun Sketch Challenge this week. Great way to show off our Designer Paper!

CHRISTMAS BARN

This Christmas Barn Bundle is SO fun…and I didn’t even use the dies on this card! I love this horse sleigh image. One of these days, I want to ride in an authentic one in upper northeast…like Vermont or Maine…during the Christmas season!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pool Party cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pool Party cardstock was embossed with the Whimsical Woodlands 3D Embossing Folder and adhered on top.
Three different 1 x 4 strips of Sweetest Christmas Designer Paper were added on the right side.
A 1-3/4 x 3-3/4 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the sleigh and greeting in Memento Black Ink and colored with Pool Party, Real Red, Crumb Cake, and Bronze Stampin’ Blends.
Add some Stampin’ Dimensionals behind the Basic White and loop the Silver Metallic Mesh Ribbon behind it to adhere. Add more Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhere panel to the front.

Saturday Blog Hop – Casing Debbie Henderson

For the next several weeks, we will be Casing the Design Team for our Saturday Blog Hops! This week our featured Design Team Member is Debbie Henderson! We are to find an “old” card on her blog that we like and use the layout and colors with a new set from the July-December Mini Catalog! This should be fun! We will show both the “old” card that inspired us, and our new version! Here’s Debbie’s card that I choose from last year.

CHRISTMAS BARN

This Christmas Barn Bundle is one that caught my eye first thing in the July-December Mini Catalog. I love that it has a sleigh and the fence line AND that the dies cut out the greetings!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pool Party cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 3 x 4-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock was torn in half and the two pieces added stacked on top of each other at the bottom.
On a 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Basic White cardstock, stamp the barn with Crumb Cake Ink and color with Light & Dark Crumb Cake Blends. Stamp three trees and wreath with Shaded Spruce Ink and color bow with Sweet Sorbet Blends. Stamp greeting with Shaded Spruce Ink. Cut all pieces and three clusters of snowflakes with Dies. Assemble on front as shown with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp footprints with Crumb Cake Ink.

Saturday Blog Hop – Christmas in July

This week’s theme for our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop is “Christmas in July”! I know a lot of people have classes in July using some new Christmas sets, so we thought we’d give you some inspiration from our Design Team!

CHRISTMAS BARN

This new Christmas Barn Bundle has several elements that I just LOVE! The sleigh, the barn, the fences. I just had to get it! My first card uses the sleigh. It is on my bucket list to ride in a horse-drawn sleigh in the winter some time! I also built my card around these Deckled Rectangle frames I had left over from a class I held! We used the inside, but it left this perfect little frame for another project.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pool Party was added on top.
After the Deckle Rectangle was cut out, I had these little frames left over. I cut the snowbank from Basic White cardstock and adhere it behind the deckle frame along the bottom, then added the frame to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The sleigh was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with SU200, SU400, Sweet Sorbet, Starry Sky, Soft Succulent and Tahitian Tide Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Barn Dies and added to the snowbank.
Two trees were stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with SU200 for the trunk and Light Evening Evergreen Stampin’ Blends for the tree limbs. They were cut with the Barn Dies and added above the snowbank.
The greeting was stamped with Evening Evergreen Ink inside the frame.
Some snowflakes were cut from White Glimmer Paper with the Barn Dies and adhered inside the frame.
