Merry Christmas!  I hope you have a wonderful holiday season filled with family, friends, and lots of great food!  We will have lots of family around, except this is the year our oldest son and his family visit her side in Wisconsin…so we will miss them!  But, we will celebrate with them a week later.  Safe travels everyone!

This week’s Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge is a fun sketch!  It will run for TWO WEEKS so our team can enjoy the holidays AND so we can convert over to the new Occasions catalog!  I liked this sketch a lot and will definitely be using it again…probably SOON!  lol!

CHRISTMASTIME IS HERE SUITE

If you haven’t grabbed this suite of products yet, hurry!  It is only available while supplies last!  I’ve used just the Designer Paper a lot…it has beautiful rose images you can cut out and the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots just sparkle!  I’m a fan!

Stampin’ Details:

• The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Cherry Cobbler cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
• The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Mossy Meadow cardstock is embossed with the Stylish Scrolls Embossing Folder.
• The square was cut from Whisper White with the Layering Squares Dies and stamped with the Christmas Rose greeting in Cherry Cobbler Ink in the upper right corner.
• It is layered on a larger scallop square cut from Cherry Cobbler cardstock with the Layering Squares Die and adhered to the front of the card.
• A 1 x 3-3/4 strip of Christmastime is Here Designer Paper was added across the square, then a 3/8 x 4-1/2 strip of Gold Glimmer Paper was added on top.
• The trio of roses were cut from the Christmastime is Here DSP and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Two Gold Glitter Enamel Dots were added to the Whisper White.

Happy Saturday! It’s time for another Saturday Blog Hop! This week our theme is “Let it Shine!”  There TONS of glittery goodness products in Stampin’ Up!’s catalogs!  I decided to use the currently available special suite, Christmastime is Here on my card!  I love the gold in the DSP, and the Gold Glitter Enamel Dots paired with a Gold Embossed Rose image!

 

Stampin’ Details:

• The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
• On top diagonally is a 3 x 5 piece of Christmastime is Here Designer Paper.
• A 3/4 x 5-1/2 strip of Gold Glimmer Paper is added across the front.
• The large rose was stamped with Versamark on Whisper White, then embossed with Gold Embossing Powder and cut with the Roses Dies.  It is popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Crumb Cake and cut with the Roses tag Die.  It was added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Finally, some Gold Glitter Enamel Dots were added in the background.

Happy Thursday!  Wow…the weeks really roll by fast, don’t they?  We have a fun sketch for you to try this week over on Create with Connie and Mary!

I used the Christmas Rose stamp set from the Christmastime is Here Bundle!  A limited-time release now available for EVERYONE to order!  It is SO beautiful!  Love the gold metallic in the Designer Paper…and the gold ribbon…and the gold glitter dots!  Beautiful!  Here’s what I did with it:

 

Stampin’ Details:

• The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Old Olive cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
• On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Soft Seafoam cardstock.
• The Christmastime is Here Designer Paper is cut to 3-1/4 x 4-1/2 and added to the front.
• A 3/4 x 5 strip of coordinating DSP is added across the front.
• The large rose image in Christmas Rose is stamped with Memento Black Ink, then the large leaves with Soft Seafoam Ink, the roses with Poppy Parade Ink, the pine needles with Old Olive Ink, the berries with Real Red Ink, and the pinecones with Soft Suede Ink.  It is cut with the Roses Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• The filigree Die is cut from Gold Foil Paper and added over the bottom of the rose image.
• The greeting was partially inked with Soft Suede Ink, then punched with the Classic Label Punch and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• A few Holiday Rhinestones were added around the background.

It’s Thursday and time for Create with Connie and Mary’s Thursday Challenge!  It’s a color combination this week!

 

 

Although this color combination is perfect for the Peacock Suite, I decided to do something a little different with it and used the Christmas Rose stamp set!  I originally thought it would be a birthday card, but I decided I’d go with Christmas instead.  The Christmastime is Here Suite of products (Christmas Rose stamp set, Gold Glitter Dots and Gold Shimmer Ribbon that I used) are available to demos starting Oct 1st and customers on Nov 1st and Create with Connie and Mary has a wonderful collection of tutorials featuring it!

Stampin’ Details:

• The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Bermuda Bay cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
• The 4 x 5-1/4 Whisper White cardstock was stamped with the Christmas Rose image in both corners with Memento Black Ink.
• The roses from Christmas Rose stamp set were stamped off with Bermuda Bay Ink, the leaves and pines stamped off with Old Olive Ink, and the berries stamped off with Pretty Peacock Ink.  It was adhered to the base.
• The greeting from Christmas Rose was stamped with Pretty Peacock Ink and cut with the Nested Stitched Label Die, then added to the next largest Nested Stitched Label cut from Pretty Peacock cardstock.
• The Gold Shimmer Ribbon was added between the layers of the labels.
• A trio of Gold Glitter Enamel Dots were added in the background.
