I always enjoy the beginning of another session…this one is fun because it is ALL CARDS! We started the Card "Create"tions Edition to fit between our regular Editions and we know you loved the Holiday Cards one…this one is all occasions cards! We can always use ideas for those! Both Mary and I have done a FREE Preview set for you to see what you get with your subscription! Here are some details:

This is the first time I've inked up this Little Friends set and I'm hooked! I had such fun coloring these darling images. So…with the sketch Mary and I used for our Preview Week…I gave my little boy card some distressed edges for a rough and tumble look! My designer choice card is the Primrose Petals card. It is SO sweet with the touch of vintage! Finally my 'step-up' pair…I just love the little puppy untying the present! Some extra layers and punched flowers add the fun!

YEAH!!!! We're back! Our Holiday edition was so popular, we decided that it's time to introduce another Create with Connie and Mary Card "Create"tions. This time it is for ALL Occasions! We are SUPER excited! Mary and I will both be doing FREE Preview Card Sets this week so you'll see what Card "Create"tions is all about if you didn't join before! My card is based on Technostamper's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge, TSSC256 today.

I'll be featuring Little Friends later this week for MY Preview Card Set, but I'm showing off another card using this set today! Here's my card…this is the type of detail you can expect from our Project Sheets…dimensions, directional steps and a few tips!

Here are the details:

Base is 4 1/4 x 11 of Real Red, folded in half.
I used the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch with Gumball Green cardstock and added the punched strip behind the 1 1/4 x 5 1/2 strip of Storytime Designer Paper along the left side.
I cut a Whisper White oval from the Oval Framelits and stamped the little boy with wagon on it with Black Stazon.
I used Stampin' Write markers in So Saffron, Real Red, Gumball Green, Blush Blossom, Crumb Cake and Baja Breeze to color in my image with the AquaPainter. It is popped up on the front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
I thought it would be fun to add the little Pinwheel Die shape, cut from Gumball Green, secured with a Mini Brad, then topped with a Red Button tied with White Bakers Twine. TIP: If you place the brad from the back to the front and then add the little pinwheel "legs", it is much easier to work it to secure! Just cover the legs with the button!
Finally I stamped Thank You with Black Stazon on a strip of So Saffron and tucked it under the pinwheel!

CCMC244 Secret Garden

Yeah!!! I have my SPRING look back on my blog! I was getting tired of seeing the snowflakes. AND…I'm hoping it encourages Spring to get here in Ohio! And, it's Thursday!!! Time for another Create with Connie and Mary challenge. We have a beautiful color challenge for you today. I have always wanted to do my bedroom in these colors…so crisp, clean and cool looking! Come play along with us!!!

And here's my take on it. The daisies and leaves in Secret Garden are showed off with these colors!

Here are the details:

4 1/4 x 11 Whisper White, folded in half to form the base card.
A 2 x 5 1/2 piece of Marina Mist Polka Dot Patterns was placed along the right side, then a 1" x 5" of the reverse Polka Dot Pattern placed on top.
I wrapped the Whisper White Baker's Twine around the smaller piece and tied a bow!
Then I stamped 3 of the daisies in Secret Garden with Daffodil Delight ink and cut with the framelits. Then I stamped two of the leaves with Not Quite Navy and cut them.
I added them to the front with Stampin' Dimensionals and Pearls in the centers.
Finally, the greeting from Petite Pairs was stamped with Not Quite Navy.

Here is the Sketch Challenge for today!

Yes, I once again used Ears to You this week! I'm trying to use it as much as possible before Easter! lol! Actually, as I mentioned earlier, this is my Easter card for this year. I need to get them mailed out…last year my Easter cards sat on my desk and never got mailed! lol! The Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Paper is just so bright and colorful, too! Perfect for Easter cards!

Here are the details:

The base is a square card, 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 Pink Pirouette, folded in half.
I added a 4 x 4 piece of the polka dot pattern in Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP on top.
I cut a Scallops #2 Square of Daffodil Delight and placed on top with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Inside I have a Whisper White square embossed with the Cloudy Day folder, then sponged with a little Bashful Blue ink.
I cut a scrap piece of Lucky Limeade for the grass and cut blades with my Paper Snips. I stamped Happy Easter from Teeny Tiny Wishes with Black Stazon on top.
I inked up the bunnies from Ears to You with Daffodil Delight, and Pink Pirouette, then cut them out and placed in the grass with Stampin' Dimensionals. I added Pearls to their tails.
Finally I tied a bow from Old Olive Striped Ribbon and adhered with a Mini Glue Dot.

CCMC241 Spring Sampler

I'm on a roll this week with Easter cards, huh? Well, Tuesday's was St. Patrick's Day…but almost all of them were Easter! lol! I figure since Easter is so early this year that I needed to get them done! Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge has a "challenging" sketch today…but perfect for those LITTLE images Stampin' Up! has given us! Make sure to check out what the rest of the Challenge Team has done…so many different takes on it!

See…didn't I tell you? So, here is my take on the sketch!

Isn't my card nice and colorful??? I think so! Here are the details:

Base card is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 of Lucky Limeade, folded in half.
The Whisper White layer is cut to 3 x 5 1/4 and embossed with the Honeycomb Folder.
A 3/4 x 5 1/4 strip of Sunshine & Sprinkles Designer Paper was placed across the top of the Whisper White.
Old Olive Striped Ribbon was wrapped around and tied in front to hide the seam of the DSP.
I used the Postage Stamp punch to punch out 4 different patterns of the DSP, adding them cross the front randomly with Stampin' Dimensionals.
I used Melon Mambo, Marina Mist, Lucky Limeade, Basic Gray and Daffodil Delight Stampin' Write Markers to color the images from Spring Sampler, stamped on Whisper White, then punched with the 1" Square punch. They are adhered to the Postage Stamps punches.
Finally, I stamped Happy Easter from Delightful Dozen stamp set in Basic Gray on the bottom right corner.

CCMC-OCC5 Dapper Dad

Oh my! Can you believe it? We've come to the end of the Spring Edition of Create with Connie and Mary! Our Design Team and Guest Designers did a wonderful job…we couldn't have done it without them! And…thanks to our subscribers and supporters…we certainly do appreciate you! Don't worry, our Spring Edition website will be up for a year…so you can refer back to the projects 24/7! And…hey…if you thought about joining us and didn't…it's not too late! You'll see ALL the projects ALL at once! How fun!

We are finishing up our last day with a Sketch challenge for the Design Team. No Inlinkz on this one since we are awarding the prizes on Sunday…but you can still use this fun sketch! Check out Create with Connie and Mary to see what the Design Team did with it!

Here is my card using Dapper Dad. My Club Members will think it looks familiar…we used the same colors and elements in a card they made on Thursday at Club! I just tweaked the layout for them.

Here are the details:

The base card is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 of Midnight Muse, folded in half.
A 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Crumb Cake that is embossed with the Woodgrain Folder (still available!) and distressed with the Stampin' Distress Tool and sponged with Crumb Cake Ink around the edges and to highlight the Woodgrain embossed areas.
Layer a 2 x 5 piece of Parker's Patterns DSP and corner round the left edges.
Cut a 5 1/4" Early Espresso trim piece from Tasteful Trim XL Die and layer across the front.
Stamp the watch image from Dapper Dad Stamp Set with Early Espresso Ink on Very Vanilla and cut with the second from smallest Oval Framelit. Adhere on the third from smallest Oval of Cajun Craze.
Pierce a hole in the watch winder and add a Silver Brad thru both layers and a Rhinestone on the face of the watch.
Distress the edges and sponge Crumb Cake around the edges of the ovals. Place on the front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Stamp Make a Wish from Sweet Essentials in Early Espresso Ink on 1/2" strip of Very Vanilla, sponge the edges with Crumb Cake, cut a flag end and tuck between the ovals.

I had a lot of fun with this sketch and I like how the ovals are off-set! Again, make sure to check out the rest of the Design Team inspiration over on Create with Connie and Mary!

CCMC240 Bloomin Marvelous

It's time for another Thursday Challenge from Create with Connie and Mary! This time a pretty color challenge! Come play along!

I must admit, Bloomin' Marvelous is becoming my go-to set for Sale-a-bration. Here I am using it again for the challenge!

This one is clean and simple and came together easily!

The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Melon Mambo cardstock folded in half.
A layer of Whisper White is 4 x 5 1/4.
The Daffodil Delight Chevron design from Sunshine and Sprinkles is cut 1 1/4 x 5 and I rounded the corners with the Corner Rounder Punch.
I added a 1/2" strip of Melon Mambo on top that I stamped with the greeting from Bloomin' Marvelous in Basic Gray.
I punched 1 1/4" Scallop Circles from Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Basic Gray cardstock, then popped them up with Stampin' Dimensionals on the DSP.
The Bloomin' Marvelous butterflies were stamped in Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Basic Gray and then added to the Scallop Circles with more Stampin' Dimensionals. I also added rhinestones for the bodies.

I think it turned out pretty sweet!

CCMC238 – Bloomin’ Marvelous

It's Thursday and time for Create with Connie and Mary's Thursday Challenge! We have a bright COLOR challenge for you to try this week! Make sure to check out what the other members of the Challenge Team have done this week over on Create with Connie and Mary!

Now…I have to be honest. This did NOT come easy for me! The mojo was just NOT flowing for me today! I intended to get 5 or 6 cards done…ended up doing 2 1/2 cards (1/2 was yesterday's card…I had it almost done), then I gave up and watched some of my shows that have been recorded and I hadn't watched yet! lol! The other card I did besides this one was SUPPOSED to be for the challenge…but it got stuck in my mind to use one of the Kits…well, it didn't have the right colors! I sat down to do THIS card and cut some DSP…with a Pacific Point pattern instead of Island Indigo! Do you ever have creative days like that??? So…this is what I ended up with!

Actually, now that it is all done, I do really like it! Especially the extra touch of the ribbon tied on the Arrow Cute Clip!

Cut a 4 1/4 x 11 piece of Whisper White, folded in half to make base card. I embossed the front (again) with the Honeycomb folder (again!) LOVE that folder!
The Sycamore Street DSP Island Indigo pattern is cut at 2 1/4 x 4 3/4 and place on the front.
I punched a 2 1/2" Circle of Whisper White, then stamped the Bloomin' Marvelous flower in Calypso Coral (stamping off, too), and added leaves of Lucky Limeade. I added the Oh Happy Day greeting in Island Indigo.
The circle is popped up on the front. I added the little arrow Cute Clip tied with the Old Olive Striped Ribbon.
There are a few Rhinestones added to the center of the flowers, too.
Finally, I added a strip of Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral under the circle.

Isn't that fun??? I really liked how it FINALLY turned out!
