IM134 – Medium Daisy

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week’s inspiration is a beautiful summertime decorated cake.

I love this yellow/black/white color combination! I used the Medium Daisy Punch to get the look of the daisies on the cake.

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded to form the base card.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Black cardstock was added on top.
- The 2-3/4 x 5 layer of Whisper White cardstock is embossed with the new Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folder (Aug-Dec catalog) and adhered on top.
- A 1/4 x 5 strip of Daffodil Delight was added across the bottom.
- Seven 3/4″ Circles were punched from Whisper White cardstock and added across the bottom.
- Three Medium Daisies were punched from Whisper White cardstock and added on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. Three 3/4″ circles were punched from Daffodil Delight and added to the centers.
- Celebrate You from Celebrate Sunflowers was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock and trimmed, then added with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

IM18 – Daisy

It’s time for Create with Connie and Mary’s Inspiration Monday!!! Isn’t this Daisy cake so wonderfully bright and springy looking? I’d love to get a cake like this for my birthday!

So, here is what I came up with using the cake as inspiration. I know I could have used the Daisy Punch, but I made this at a stamping retreat I attended and I didn’t bring that punch. So, I looked around at what I did bring (my Framelits!) and found this petal in the Leaflets Framelits! I think it worked out great for my daisy!!! AND…I used one of the new In Colors…Grapefruit Grove in the background!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Grapefruit Grove cardstock.
Seven petals were cut with the Leaflet Framelits from Whisper White cardstock and one was stamped with the greeting from Happy Birthday Gorgeous in Memento Black Ink.
The two leaves were cut from Pear Pizzazz using one of the other leaf framelits.
In the center, Daffodil Delight cardstock was punched with the 1-3/8″ Scallop Circle Punch.

CCMC453 – Oh So Succulent

This week we have a fun sketch over on Create with Connie and Mary. I just had to use the Succulent Framelits again to build a flower!

Here’s my card. I love the white daisy look!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4×4 piece of Daffodil Delight Patterns Paper Pack was added to the front.
A 1/4 x 5 strip of Basic Black was added across the front.
The greeting from Confetti Celebrations was stamped with Memento Black Ink on top of the Designer Paper.
Two of the medium large and one medium succulent flowers were cut from Whisper White cardstock. Two small flowers were cut from Daffodil Delight cardstock for the center. All were adhered together, then added to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A Perfect White Accent was colored with a Black Sharpie Marker and added to the center.
The Medium Large succulent flower was also cut from Pear Pizzazz cardstock, and two petals cut off (twice) for the leaves. They were tucked under the flowers and adhered.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it…if I do say so myself! Of course, I’m always lovin’ my flowers! lol! Check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did with this color combination over on Create with Connie and Mary today!
