IM68 – Daisy Delight

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday photo! Love this pretty floral picture! Mary and I were on the same wavelength for our cards, too!

Here’s what I came up with!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Balmy Blue cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 3-1/2 x 4-1/4 piece of Tranquil Textures DSP was place on the diagonal in the background.
- Four daisies were punched with the Daisy Punch from Whisper White cardstock and layered two together. They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The centers were punched from Tranquil Textures DSP with the Bitty Blooms Punch Pack flower and added to the centers.
- Four leaves from Daisy Delight were stamped with Balmy Blue Ink on Whisper White and the centers stamped off with Mint Macaron Ink. They were hand-cut and added under the flowers on the front of the card.
- The greeting from Daisy Delight stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink.
- Some Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots were added in the centers of the flowers for a little bling.

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Pastel Colors

Happy almost Easter, everyone! The theme for this week’s Create with Connie and Mary’s Saturday Blog Hop is using Pastel Colors…perfect for this time of year, right? I had my Delightful Daisy Designer Paper out making Easter Favors, so thought it would be perfect to use for this challenge, too!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Sahara Sand cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 3 x 5-1/2 piece of Delightful Daisy Designer Paper.
A diecut from Petals & More Thinlits was cut from Calypso Coral cardstock and adhered behind the DSP.
Thank you was stamped with Old Olive Ink on the largest Stitched Shapes Oval and added to the front.
The Daisy from Daisy Delight was stamped twice with Calypso Coral Ink on So Saffron cardstock, then punched with the Daisy Punch and adhered together. It is placed on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
In the center of the Daisy is a Clear Faceted Gem.
The leaves were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Old Olive and hand-cut, then placed under the daisy.

Saturday Blog Hop – Fun with Reinkers

It’s Saturday and time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Our design team theme is featuring “Fun with Reinkers” for their cards this week. I’m sure our Design Team will have some FABULOUS ideas this week…so many different technique from coloring to backgrounds. What will they do?

I was SO happy to see Glossy Paper made it back into the Annual Catalog this year, but hadn’t had a chance to try out any of my old “standby” techniques with it yet! Of course, first thing I thought of was Polished Stone background. But then, what colors to use? I decided to go with Crumb Cake and Soft Sky, thinking I’d do a water card, or something similar. But…Daisy Delight was calling my name and decided to do some blue flowers!

Here are the details:

First I made the background. I added a few drops of Crumb Cake and Soft Sky reinkers individually to the Silicone Sheet. I used a paper towel (for the texture) and wet a 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Glossy cardstock with Rubbing Alcohol.
Next, I dabbed the wet paper towel in the Crumb Cake reinker and pounced on the wet Glossy cardstock, then did the same with the Soft Sky reinker. Each time I make these I get a different look. While I had the materials out, I usually try to do at least a full sheet of Glossy so I have backgrounds to use for future! Let dry.
I cut a 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 sheet of Soft Sky cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded to form the base card.
I cut a 2-3/4 x 4 piece of the polished stone background and added to the bottom of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White.
The seam is hidden with a length of 3/8″ Shimmer Pool Party Ribbon, adhered in the back.
The daisy from Daisy Delight stamp set was stamped with Soft Suede Ink on Soft Sky cardstock, then colored with a sponge dauber and Soft Sky Ink in the center. Punched with the Daisy Punch and layered both together.
The center is Crushed Curry ink stamped on Crushed Curry cardstock, then hand-cut (or use a 1/2″ circle punch) and adhere to the center.
Two leaves were outlined with Soft Suede Ink, then filled in with Pear Pizzazz ink and hand cut.
The daisy and leaves were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Thank You from the Daisy Delight stamp set was stamped with Soft Suede Ink above the daisy.
Finally, a yellow Glimmer Dot was added to the center.

Saturday Blog Hop – Shaped Cards

It’s Saturday and time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Our design team theme is featuring “Shaped Cards” for their cards this week…not your regular rectangle or squares. This has been a CHALLENGE for me since I’ve been rather rushed getting ready for the Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip! It was taking a little more brain power than I had to spare! lol! But here is what I came up with…a shaped wine-bottle card! Yum, yum!

Here are the details:

I used a wine bottle template that I found HERE to print out the shape. I cut that out then traced it on a 8-1/2 x 11 piece of Old Olive cardstock that is scored at 4-1/4 and folded. The fold line is on the left side of the bottle.
I stamped a row of daisies on a 1/2 x 4-1/2 piece of Whisper White cardstock, adhered it along the bottom, the trimmed off the sides.
I cut the largest circle Stitched Shape from Whisper White cardstock, then layered it on the largest scallop Layered Circle of Island Indigo.
The greeting from Label Me Pretty was stamped with Island Indigo Ink in the upper right corner.
Another 1-1/4 x 3-1/4 piece of Delightful Daisy Designer Paper was cut with the largest circle Stitched Shape, then adhered to the bottom of the Whisper White one.
Two daisies from Daisy Delight were stamped with Crushed Curry Ink on Whisper White cardstock, then colored in the center with a Sponge Dauber, the punched with the Daisy Punch. They were adhered together.
The center was stamped with Island Indigo Ink on Whisper White and then cut out.
Three leaves were stamped with Island Indigo on Old Olive cardstock and hand-cut out.
The circles were placed on the front of the bottle with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then the Daisy and leaves were adhered and the petals curled.
In the center is a Clear Faceted Gem.
At the top, I used the template again and cut out the top portion from the same Delightful Daisy Designer Paper, adhered to the top.
Old Olive Baker’s Twine was wrapped around the top several times, then tied in a bow!

Daisy Delight

I used the wonderful Daisy Delight Bundle for my card today. Along with me, everyone else must have loved it because it is currently out-of-stock at Stampin’ Up! But, hopefully my customers will be able to order it soon!

I followed along with the sketch challenge this week on Freshly Made Sketches FMS291. Loved the simple design! It has been SOOOOOO long since I played along, but I do get their email every week, so not sure what my excuse is! lol!

Here are the details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The Delightful Daisy DSP was cut into two pieces, 1 x 3-1/4 and 3-1/4 x 3-1/4 and adhered to the front with a little space as shown in the sketch.
The daisy from Daisy Delight was stamped with Flirty Flamingo Ink on Daffodil Delight cardstock (twice), then watercolored with a little Flirty Flamingo Ink over top. Both were punched with the Daisy Punch.
The center was stamped with Tranquil Tide Ink on Whisper White and hand cut out. They were adhered together and added to the front of the card with stacked Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The “hello” greeting from Eastern Beauty stamp set was stamped with Tranquil Tide Ink below the DSP.

That’s it!!! Super simple…with being so disorganized from the move, simple is about the most I can do! lol!
