Had a little time to play along with the Splitcoaststampers sketch challenge today, although it took more time than I wanted it to! I just wasn't happy with how it was turning out. But…I think I worked out some of the "glitches" I was having!

As you can see, the sketch had a lot going on! And here is what I came up with.

I wanted to show that you can use the Hearts A Flutter stamp set and framelits for more than just Valentines or love cards! I think this one is neutral enough to be a birthday card, don't you? Here are the details:

4 1/4 x 11 Pool Party cardstock, folded in half to make base card.
2 x 5 1/2 piece of More Amore Designer Paper layered on 2 1/2 x 5 1/2 of Basic Gray cardstock.
I stamped the banners in Hearts a Flutter in Raspberry Ripple and Basic Gray, then cut them out with the Framelits along with the solid Primrose Petals cardstock one.
I pierced holes in the corners of the tags so I could feed thru the Linen Thread, then tied knots on the ends. I added them to the front of the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
I added one of the Flower Trim roses to the solid banner with a Pearl in the center.
Under the greeting I added the new Basic Gray Ribbon, cut with a flag end on one side.
Finally, I stamped the greeting from the FREE Sale-A-Bration set, Vintage Verses in Black Stazon on Very Vanilla, then cut it with the Label Framelits. I also sponged around the edges with Raspberry Ripple ink. It's popped up on the front with Stampin' Dimensionals, too.
I discarded using a trio of anything under the greeting even though the sketch called for it. Just made it too busy.

SUO Challenge – Cross My Heart

Well, back to Valentine's for me. Today we have a CAS (Clean & Simple) Valentine card challenge for you over on SUO Challenges! Here is my card. I love the hanging heart!

The details:

The base card is Very Vanilla, 5 1/2 x 8 1/2, folded in half.
The Raspberry Ripple layer is 4 x 5 1/4. The More Amore Designer Paper is 2 x 5 1/4 across the bottom.
I added some Sale-A-Bration Pool Party Sycamore Street Ribbon to hide the seam.
I stamped the Scallop Heart from Hearts a Flutter and cut it with the Framelits.
The Primrose Petals is punched with the Full Heart Punch and a 3/4" Circle punched out of the center of it. The Full Heart is popped up on the Scallop Heart with Stampin' Dimensionals.
In the center of the circle is the Small Heart Punch from Red Glimmer Paper.
I added a "hanger" of Pool Party Ribbon and added a bow from the same ribbon, so the heart is hanging down.
Finally, I added the Cross My Heart greeting, partially tucked under the heart and stamped with Raspberry Ripple on Very Vanilla, then cut the flag end.

Another Valentine that I like. Is it Clean & Simple? Maybe a little over…but pretty close, I think. Check out the rest of the Design Team over on SUO Challenges.

CCMC-OCC1 Vintage Verses

Here's my card, using the FREE Sale-A-Bration set, Vintage Verses!

Here are the details:

The base card is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 of Primrose Petals, folded in half.
Whisper White layer is 5 1/4 x 4, embossed with the Honeycomb Folder.
I added a 1/2 x 5 1/4 strip of Basic Black cardstock across the front.
I cut 1 1/2 x 3 1/4 rectangle of Primrose Petals, stamped it with Thanks from Vintage Verses in Black Stazon, then cut two of the banner tags from the Hearts a Flutter Framelits out of More Amore Designer Paper and folded the edge of the tabs over the sides of the rectangle. I added Pearls on each end.
I used the Hearts a Flutter framelits and cut different heart shapes from different DSPs in that package.
Then I added a couple Red Glimmer hearts punched with the Small Heart punch and added another pearl to one of the hearts.

Here's my card using the color challenge this week. Love that Hearts a Flutter bundle…stamps and framelits! There are some subtle details on this card, so you need to look close!

Here are the details!

The base card is 4 1/4 x 11 of Raspberry Ripple, folded in half.
The Whisper White 4 x 5 1/4 layer has been partially embossed with the Chevron Folder, I left a top portion un-embossed for the greeting.
Be My Valentine from Delightful Dozen was stamped in Lucky Limeade and I added a Small Heart Punch of Raspberry Ripple with a rhinestone jewel.
I stamped a 1 x 4 strip of Lucky Limeade with Lucky Limeade ink, using the pennant shape in the Hearts a Flutter stamp set…I liked how it gave me a striped pattern without using DSP!
The small hearts were stamped in Pink Pirouette and Raspberry Ripple, cut with the heart framelit, then scattered along the Lucky Limeade strip. I popped up a couple of them with Stampin' Dimensionals.
Finally, I tucked the larger scallop heart stamped with Raspberry Ripple and cut with the framelit, added a smaller solid heart inside and added another rhinestone jewel. It is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals, too!

Made for a sweet little Valentine card!

Hearts a Flutter – SC420

Today on Splitcoaststampers, they had a fun sketch challenge…since I love those, I decided to play along! I'm also using Hearts a Flutter on my card, one of the stamp sets we are featuring this week over on Create with Connie and Mary Spring Edition 2013! It's not too late to join to get over 30 step-by-step tutorials…at $34.95 US…that's just a little over $1 each!

I love the different patterns of hearts in this set! And that it has matching framelits! And…the touch of Red Glimmer Paper really makes it stand out!

Here is the information on my card:

The base is Real Red cut to 4 1/4 x 8 1/2, then folded in half to make a square 4 1/4 card.
I layered on 4 x 4 square of Basic Black cardstock, then the 3 7/8 x 3 7/8 piece of More Amore Designer Paper.
I punched 4 Postage Stamp punches from Basic Black and placed inside the square, they are popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals on the front.
The hearts from Hearts a Flutter were stamped with Real Red on Very Vanilla, then cut with the Hearts a Flutter Framelits, including the one from Red Glimmer Paper.
I stamped Love You, from Itty Bitty Banners in Basic Black on Real Red and handcut it out (or use the matching framelits!)
The hearts are placed on each of the Postage Stamp punches.

Simple, quick and easy! It came out exactly how I pictured in my head!

SUOC62 More Amore

Not a lot of stamping on here, but I did use the More Amore Designer Paper that I LOVE! This is for the SUO Challenge this week to use our "NEW TOYS"! There is a similar look to the card I did yesterday with the Hearts of Flutter framelits, but I changed up the greeting banner and colors. Don't you LOVE those scallop hearts you can cut apart on the More Amore DSP?

Here are the details, using lots of new toys, of course!

Base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 of Very Vanilla, folded in half.
I layered a 3 3/4 x 5 piece of Primrose Petals Core'dinations paper that I embossed with the Honeycomb folder and sanded.
I cut a 1 1/2 x 5 piece of Pool Party cardstock an used the Needlepoint folder on one edge, then added a 1 x 5 strip of More Amore Designer Paper.
The Scallop Heart was cut from the Primrose Petals sheet in More Amore.
I used the Hearts a Flutter framelits to cut the small heart and the tag again, tying with Crochet Trim and Linen Thread and popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals. There is also a Rhinestone Jewel in the corner.
I stamped the greeting from Teeny Tiny Wishes in Basic Black on a 1/2 x 3 1/2 strip of Pool Party and folded the ends into the banner look with flag cut ends. I added two more Rhinestone jewels on each end.

I think I have a really great start on my Valentine Cards this year, don't you think?

In honor of Melissa Davies' cute Valentine Favor today on Create with Connie and Mary, I'm showing off a card that my Cards Class did this month using Hearts a Flutter and That's the Ticket!

LOTS of new products from the Spring mini catalog!

The base card is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 of Real Red, folded in half.
I added a 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Whisper White, embossed with the Honeycomb folder.
The scallop heart was cut from the specialty paper in More Amore.
On top, I placed the zig zag heart image from Hearts a Flutter, stamped in Real Red on Whisper White and cut with the framelit and a little pearl added to one side. I also added a Basic Black "tag"…one of the Hearts a Flutter framelits turned upside down and tied with Crochet Trim and Linen Thread.
The trio of flowers were added with Mini Glue Dots across the bottom (inspired by Elizabeth Price!)
Admit One and Happy Valentine's Day from That's the Ticket were stamped in Black Stazon and Real Red, punched with the TIcket Duo and tucked under the scallop heart.

Hearts a Flutter

It's Day 2 of our Guest Designer Announcements on Create with Connie and Mary! Our designer today is using LOTS of hearts on her project for the Spring Edition 2013! She shows off a card today with her introduction…go check out WHO it is at Create with Connie and Mary! We know you LOVE her work (and hint…so does Stampin' Up!)

I used Hearts a Flutter on my card today to celebrate her heart theme!

Can you believe I JUST opened my package of More Amore Designer Paper! I don't know what I was waiting for…I love the patterns in it. AND…useful for more than Valentine's Day projects! See that chevron pattern at the bottom…love it! And the linky pattern in one of the hearts…love it, too! Here are the details:

The base is Pool Party cut 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 and folded in half.
I layered on 4 x 5 1/4 Very Vanilla cardstock.
At the bottom, the heart pattern from More Amore DSP measures 1 1/2 x 5 1/4, then I cut a 1/2 x 5 1/4 strip of the chevron pattern to go on top.
I hid the seam there with a piece of Sycamore Street Ribbon (Pool Party)…it's one of the new Sale-A-Bration packs coming soon!
In the upper right corner, I pierced the Heart image with the Essentials Paper Piercing Pack. Then punched the Full Heart from DSP.
Next I stamped the Hearts A Flutter heart image with Black Stazon on Primrose Petals cardstock and cut it out with the matching Hearts a Flutter Framelits.
Finally, for some major bling, I thread the Calypso Coral Bakers Twine thru a Vintage Faceted Designer Button and placed it in one of the small Soda Pop Tops…that I ran thru the Big Shot to smash.
I stamped Be My Valentine from Delightful Dozen stamp set in Pool Party ink.
