CS189 – Blooming Phrases

We’re continuing our theme of Gardens this month with our Creatively Simple challenge!

BLOOMING PHRASES

On Saturday, I mentioned I had a second card made with retiring In Colors, Wildly Flowering DSP and the new online exclusive, Blooming Phrases, coming the first of May. The first one was Moody Mauve, and here’s the second card I made featuring Boho Blue! This one fit our Garden challenge!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Boho Blue cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Wildly Flowering DSP was added to the front.
The coordinating Crumb Cake Wildly Flowering DSP print was cut 1-1/4 x 3-3/4 and added across the front.
The Blooming Phrases greeting was stamped with Pebbled Path Ink on the front and the flower with Boho Blue Ink. The little leaves were stamped with Wild Wheat Ink. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some 2023-25 In Color Jute Twine was tied in a bow and added to the stem with a Mini Glue Dot.
Two Wild Wheat 2023-25 In Color Opaque Sparkle Dots were added under the greeting.

Saturday Blog Hop – Outgoing In Colors

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week our theme is “Outgoing In Colors”. The 2023-25 In Colors are retiring the beginning of May. What was your favorite? Our Design Team will be showing their favorites this week as the feature on their card.

BLOOMING PHRASES

I ended up making two cards with different retiring colors using the same Blooming Phrases stamp set (a new online exclusive coming next month) and the Wildly Flowering Designer Paper. For this card I used the retiring In Color, Moody Mauve. Make sure to check out next Tuesday’s Creatively Simple card for the second card I made! This Blooming Phrases stamp set appealed to me with the long “tails” on the greetings that you can add different shapes of flowers!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Moody Mauve cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pebbled Bath cardstock was added on top.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Wildly Flowering DSP was placed next.
Two leaf branches were cut with the Thankful Garden Dies from Wild Wheat cardstock and added to the front.
The Blooming Phrases greeting was stamped with Wild Wheat Ink on 1 x 4-1/4 strip of Basic White cardstock. The flowers at the end were stamped with Moody Mauve Ink. This was added over the leaves with Stampin’ Dimensionals towards the right side.
Two 2023-25 In Color Opaque Sparkle Dots were added under the greeting on the left side.

CSF Saturday Blog Hop – Jive Five 2024

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week our theme is “Jive Five 2024”. Our Design Team will use ALL FIVE of the new 2024-26 In Colors on their cards this week!

BIRD’S EYE VIEW

I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the new In Colors and they coordinate SO well together! Mix and match them as you please! For this challenge I’ve used ALL FIVE of them, plus the new Basic Beige cardstock in the background. I channeled my friend, Mary Brown, on this card…she did something similar a while back. I just freshened the design up with the new In Colors and it looks awesome!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 NEW Basic Beige cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
Five 1 x 3 strips of 2024-26 In Color 6×6 Designer Paper were added to the background spaced about 1/8″ apart.
A 2-3/4 x 4-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock was cut with the Radiating Stitches Die and stamped with the Unbounded Love greeting in Petunia Pop Ink at the top.
On scrap Basic White, the bird and books were stamped with Memento Black Ink and the glasses with Petunia Pop (LOVE those!) They were colored with Crumb Cake Combo and the new In Color Stampin’ Blends, hand-cut and added to the Basic White panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three of the pink Tinsel Gems Four Pack were added to the background.

CCM Saturday Blog Hop – True Colors

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! For the next few weeks, we will be featuring songs that have color names in their title! This week’s song is “True Colors” by Cyndi Lauper. Our cards will be using ALL the new In Colors at once!

TRANSLUCENT FLORALS

I wasn’t quite sure how I wanted to use all the colors, so ended up using both all the inks and all the cardstock colors on my card. Not exactly how I pictured it, but it turned out ok. lol!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Boho Blue cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the leaf cluster in Translucent Florals in each color randomly in the background.
1/4 x 5-1.4 strips of each In Color were added to the center.
The greeting was stamped with Pebbled Path Ink on Moody Mauve cardstock and cut with the Something Fancy label die. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The leaf cluster was stamped with Boho Blue on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Translucent Florals Dies. It was added next to the label with Stampin[‘ Dimensionals.
The small and large flowers were cut from Wild Wheat cardstock and added to the bottom of the leaf cluster with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three Pebbled Path 2023-25 In Color Dots were added to the flower centers and the label.

CCM Saturday Blog Hop – Welcome In Colors

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! This week’s theme is “Welcome In Colors”. We have a brand new set of FIVE in colors that coordinate so well together! They also fill in some gaps in our core colors! Which new In Color will our Design Team feature as their favorite? I used all FIVE on my card, but I do love the Boho Blue!

CHEERFUL DAISIES

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Boho Blue cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
Each of the 2023-25 In Color Designer Paper were cut to 1 x 3 size.
The DSP pieces were added to a 3-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Basic White cardstock, then added to the base card.
The large floral image was cut with the Cheerful Daisies Die from Basic White cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Cheerful Daisies greeting was stamped with Pebbled Path Ink on Boho Blue cardstock, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three copper 2023-25 In Color Dots were added to the flower centers.

Sneak Peek and Summer Splash

Did I get your attention? You know I'm not one for showing off NEW products until they are actually available for you to purchase, however, I have been working with the new In Colors the past couple days and just HAD to use them for Technostamper's Monday Lunchtime Sketch Challenge!

I combined the new In Colors with the cute Summer Mini stamp set, Summer Splash! This is SUCH a fun stamp for summer…I have a couple cards coming up, too, that I've used it with again! This is a REALLY simple card, you could make a BUNCH of them in a short time1 With all the birthdays and anniversaries I have coming up over the next month, I know I'll be sending this off to someone!

I started with a base of the new Wisteria Wonder cardstock. I ran the front thru the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder. I used the Fish Frenzy Jumbo Wheel and inked it up with Pool Party Classic Ink, then ran it over the Pool Party cardstock. I layered Pool Party on Lucky Limeade. So…I've used THREE of the FIVE new In Colors on this card! I stamped the "Guess Who Loves You" from Happy Greetings in Pool Party on Whisper White, then trimmed it as a banner. I added three Rhinestone Jewels along the right. I stamped the Octopus from Summer Splash in Lucky Limeade on Whisper White and cut him out. He is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals and sitting on the banner!

Happy 4th of July continues

Hubby is on vacation this week and my son is here from out of town, but I’m lucky that I still am getting an hour or two in the early morning to sneak down and play with my stamps! I have some deadlines looking over my shoulder, PLUS, Convention organized swaps and classes to prepare. July is always a crazy busy month for me. In June I always think I’m going to be ok…then things seem to explode around me (kind of like fireworks, huh?) lol!

Anyway…continuing this week’s theme of patriotic cards, I wanted to show you the card my Stamp Club did this month (well, actually end of June). It is heavily inspired by Margaret Raburn’s card. I used Fresh Cuts with the colors of Blue Bayou, Soft Sky, Real Red and Whisper White. The red really makes that Blue Bayou pop! (Blue Bayou and Soft Sky are two of the In-colors that will be leaving soon…if you haven’t grabbed up yours yet, you’d better do it soon! Get some extra paper and reinkers while you are buying!) In addition to Fresh Cuts, (the set that will be available to purchase again on August 11th), I used Circle of Friendship, which will retire on August 10th! This set makes a nice small greeting for the front of a card. And, you can use those circle punches you have! Other punches I used on this card are the Photo Corners and the 5 petal flower punch. I cut out the small red flower and added some rhinestone BLING to the center. Oh…of note…I used the Fresh Cut Note Cards, but cut off the portion with the die-cut to fit on the card…then layered it with the Real Red cardstock. I punched the 5 petal flower from Blue Bayou and tucked that behind the die-cut portion for a dimensional look.
