CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Smell My Feet Treats

Our theme this week on the Saturday Create with Connie and Mary Blog Hop is “Halloween Smell My Feet Treats”! Quite appropriate this time of year, don’t you think?  I made a bunch of these little favor “bags” for my craft show and sold out.  For this one, I used the cute mummy from Jar of Haunts and Happy Halloween greeting from Spooky Fun!

Here are the details:

  • The Halloween Nights Designer Paper pouch is 4 x 6 and scored with the 6 at the top at 1-3/4, 2-1/4, 2-3/4, 4-1/2, 5, 5-1/2, then turned and scored at 1/2″ The sides are accordion pleated and the side tab adhered with Tear & Tape and the bottom 1/2″ tabs trimmed so only the width tab folds up in the back to close the bottom.
  • 1/4″ strips of coordinating DSP were added to the front and back top edges.
  • The Swirly Bird swirl was cut from Pumpkin Pie cardstock.
  • The Mummy was stamped with Memento Black Ink, then colored with Smoky Slate Marker and Pear Pizzazz for the face.  Clear Wink of Stella adds some sparkle.
  • The spider was stamped with Memento Black Ink, then the string hand-drawn with the Basic Black Marker.
  • Happy Halloween from Spooky Fun Stamp Set was curved on the block to follow the Duet Banner Punch and stamped with Memento Black on Pumpkin Pie cardstock, then punched.
  • The images were added to the front of the pouch with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

  • Inside the mini Hershey Bar was wrapped with 2-1/2 x 3 piece of Halloween Nights DSP, stamped with the greeting from Jar of Haunts in Memento Black Ink.
  • The spider was stamped with Memento Black Ink and the string hand-drawn with Basic Black Marker.

CCMC426 Cookie Cutter Halloween

Welcome back!  It’s Thursday and time for another Create with Connie and Mary Challenge!  This week it is a fun color challenge…it put me in the mind of Halloween, so I pulled out Cookie Cutter Halloween again!

Here’s what I did:

Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Dapper Denim cardstock, folded in half.
  • On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White, the brick pattern from Ghoulish Grunge was stamped with Smoky Slate Ink along the left side.
  • A 1-1/2 x 3-1/2 piece of Tangerine Tango was embossed with the Petal Burst Embossing Folder and added towards the right side.
  • A 2-1/2″ Layering Circle was cut from Dapper Denim cardstock.
  • The mummy was stamped with Memento Black Ink and watercolored with Smoky Slate Marker.  The bowtie was stamped with Tangerine Tango.
  • Both the Mummy and the bowtie were punched with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch and added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Silver Sequins were added to the front for a little bling!
  • Happy Halloween from Teeny Tiny Wishes was stamped in the lower right with Tangerine Tango Ink.

CCMC423 Cookie Cutter Halloween

For today’s sketch challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary, I used the cute as can be stamp set, Cookie Cutter Halloween!  So many great ideas using this set…or the coordinating Christmas one!

Here’s what I did:

The details:

 

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pumpkin Pie, folded in half.
  • Across the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Black, a 1-3/4 x 4 strip of Halloween Night DSP was placed across the front.  A coordinating stripe from Halloween Night DSP was added at the bottom of the first DSP.
  • A Lots of Labels Framelit was cut from Pumpkin Pie and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The mummy from Cookie Cutter Halloween was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored the bandages with Smoky Slate Marker accents and the face with Pear Pizzazz Marker.  It was punched with the Cookie Builder Punch and added to the Label with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The candy tote was also stamped with Memento Black, colored with markers, cut out by hand and added to the front.
  • A bow was tied with the Pumpkin Pie/Basic Black Baker’s Twine and added to the neck with a Mini Glue Dot.
  • Happy Halloween from Spooky Fun was stamped with Pumpkin Pie Ink on Whisper White and punched with the Classic Label punch, then tucked under the side of the mummy.
