It’s Thursday and we have a beautiful color combination for you to try this week on Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! Grab your stamps and play along!

I first thought flowers…then saw my Pretty Kitty stamp set sitting on the shelf…purrrfect! I love this yarn kitty image combined with the brand new Cable Knit Embossing folder! You’ll be surprised when you order it…the folder is extra thick so you need one less acrylic plate to push thru the Big Shot! And, it gives a nice 3D depth to the cardstock!

Here are the details. Does the layout look familiar? Yes! I loved last week’s sketch SO much that I used it again this week!

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Peekaboo Peach, folded in half.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Sahara Sand is run thru the Big Shot with the Cable Knit Folder.
I cut a large circle with the Layering Circles Framelit from Calypso Coral Cardstock and stamped the greeting from Pretty Kitty at the top. It was adhered on top of the card.
A strip of striped Peekaboo Peach from the In Colors Patterns Paper Pack was cut with a flag end and added on the front.
The kitty was stamped with Black Stazon on Whisper White and watercolored with Sahara Sand, Peekaboo Peach and Calypso Coral Markers and the AquaPainter. It was cut with a smaller Layering Circle Framelit.
Some Silver Sequins were added around the stamped image for a little bling!

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite Stamp Set

This month on Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hops, we are switching it up a little and showing off our FAVORITES! This week we are featuring our FAVORITE STAMP SET! How am I going to narrow THAT down? There are so many great new sets in the new catalog! But…I did try to pick JUST a stamp set that was my favorite…not one that had Framelits or Thinlets to go with it…that helped me! This set, Pretty Kitty, caught my eye first thing…along with Bella & Friends…and I’m not even a dog person!

I’ve been wanting to do a Magic Card for a LONG time…they were featured at the On Stage Convention, so thought I’d give it a try! Here’s the inside showing the “magic” with the colored image!

Here are a few basic details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Tip Top Taupe.
The Night of Navy cardstock layer is 3-3/4 x 5.
On the 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 layer of Melon Mambo cardstock, the flower bunch from Birthday Blossoms was stamped with Melon Mambo Ink in two corners. The Chalk White Pen filled in the centers.
The Layered Circles Framelit was cut out of the center.
The greeting was stamped with Night of Navy Ink in the lower left corner.
For the “magic” mechanism, I stamped the Pretty Kitty image with Black Stazon on the Window Sheet, then again on the Whisper White and colored it with Daffodil delight, Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Old Olive and Smoky Slate.
The Tip Top Taupe ribbon tab was stapled to the sandwich of Window Sheet and Whisper White to make the pull out.

Pretty Kitty

It’s Thursday and time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! Love the sketch this week! Grab your stamps and play along!

Here’s what I did using the fun stamp set, Pretty Kitty!

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Smoky Slate, folded in half.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White, the greeting in Pretty Kitty is stamped with Memento Black Ink in the lower right corner.
A 2-1/2 x 3-1/2 piece of Tempting Turquoise is embossed with the Sparkle Embossing Folder.
A 1/4 strip of Flirty Flamingo is placed across the Tempting Turquoise and a 1/4 strip of Basic Black cardstock tucked under it.
Two kittens were stamped with Memento Black Ink and watercolored with Smoky Slate and Blushing Bride Markers and an AquaPainter.
The bows were colored with Flirty Flamingo and Tempting Turquoise Markers.

It’s time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge and it is a color challenge this week!

Here’s what I came up with…just received this set, Pretty Kitty, in my new catalog order! I love these sweet little kitties! I also love the new Layered Ovals Framelits with Scalloped Ovals! Woohoo!

Here are the details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Daffodil Delight, folded in half.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock.
The 2 x 5 piece of Bermuda Bay is embossed with the new Seaside Embossing Folder.
A 2 x 3-1/2 piece of Daffodil Delight Brights Designer Paper is placed across the bottom and wrapped with Linen Thread tied in a bow.
The kitty in the pot from Pretty Kitty is stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White, and the greeting below it. It is watercolored with Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay and Crumb Cake Markers and AquaPainter…with a touch of Old Olive for the leaves.
It was cut with the Scallop Layering Oval and placed on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
