Saturday Blog Hop – Thanksgiving/Gratitude

In honor of Thanksgiving this week in the US, our Saturday Blog Hop them is Thanksgiving or Gratitude!  I know I have many blessings to count!  This year is a little sadder because my dad isn’t here, but I am thankful my mom is in good health.  Right now she is back visiting with her sister, so our Thanksgiving table won’t quite be the same as in year’s past.

PRETTY PUMPKINS BUNDLE

I made these matchbox boxes for friends at a stamping retreat that I attended way back in September, but I haven’t shown them on my blog!  They are filled with a Rice Krispies Treat and some Green Apple Cow’s Tails…yummy!  I’m hoping to make some more for our Thanksgiving table this year.  Even though I used the retired SAB Be Dazzling Paper for the pumpkin, you could easily replace that with the Gold/Rose Gold Metallic Paper in the Annual Catalog and they would be just as pretty!  And I LOVE that Blackberry Beauty Designer Paper…it is gorgeous in person!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is a standard sliding matchbox made from Thick Basic White cardstock.
  • On top the 2-1/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Blackberry Beauty DSP is added to a 2-1/2 x 3-3/4 piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock, then adhered.
  • A 1-1/4 x 8-1/2 piece of Cinnamon Cider cardstock was wrapped around the outside for the Belly Band, secured with Tear & Tape in the front and trimmed.
  • The pumpkin from Detailed Pumpkins Die was cut from Be Dazzling Paper (but use the current Gold/Rose Gold Metallic Paper for the same effect).  The leaf was cut from Gold Foil Paper.  Both were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting from Sweets & Treats was stamped with Blackberry Bliss Ink on Basic White cardstock, then punched with the Double Oval Punch and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A gold Brushed Metallic Dot was added to the background.

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge!  This week we have a pretty tablescape for our inspiration piece!  Isn’t this GORGEOUS?  Love the textures and shine…so inviting!

PRETTY PUMPKINS BUNDLE

I’m using the Pretty Pumpkins Bundle AGAIN for this week’s card!  You’ll probably be sick of me using it by the time fall is over!  But, it seemed perfect for today’s challenge.  I followed along with the trio of plates for my trio of pumpkins and added the shine with Adhesive Sequins and Be Dazzling Paper (unfortunately sold out during SAB…hope they bring it back!)

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pumpkin Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
    • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was added on top.
    • A 1-1/4 x 4 piece of Beauty of the Earth DSP was added to the bottom.
    • The filigree pumpkin from the Detailed Pumpkins Dies was cut from Cajun Craze and adhered to the front.
    • The slotted pumpkin from Pumpkin Pie cardstock with the die and added Mango Melody cardstock behind it.
    • The detail pumpkin from Pretty Pumpkins Stamp Set was stamped with Pumpkin Pie Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Die.  Both front pumpkins were added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • Two leaves were cut with the dies from Be Dazzling Paper (substitute Gold/Rose Gold Paper) and added with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The greeting from Pretty Pumpkins stamp set was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Pumpkin Pie and hand-cut close to the letters.  It was added with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals
    • A trio of Artistry Blooms Sequins were added to the background.

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge!  This week we have a batch of colorful cookies for our inspiration piece!  Don’t they look delicious?

PRETTY PUMPKINS BUNDLE

I love the filigree pumpkin die in this Paper Pumpkins Bundle.  I pulled out the gingham/plaid from the inspiration by using the Peaceful Place Designer Paper.  This DSP is very subtle, but goes great with the brighter Bermuda Bay color!

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Bermuda Bay cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
    • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
    • A 2 x 4 piece of Peaceful Place DSP was added to the left side.
    • The filigree pumpkin was cut from Bermuda Bay cardstock with the Detailed Pumpkins Dies and adhered to the front.
    • The vine was stamped with Basic Gray Ink and the pumpkin was stamped with Bermuda Bay Ink on Basic White cardstock and both cut with the Detailed Pumpkins Dies.  The vine was colored with Old Olive and Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blends.  Both were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The leaf for the pumpkin was cut from Old Olive cardstock with the die and added with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The greeting from Pretty Pumpkins was stamped with Basic Gray Ink.
    • Some Simply Elegant Silver Trim was tied in a bow and added to the stem with a Mini Glue Dot.
    • A Basic Rhinestone Jewel was added to the leaf.

Hello!  It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  This month we are “casing the catalog” and it’s our third week!  Here’s this week’s challenge:

 

PRETTY PUMPKINS BUNDLE

I decided to use my new Pretty Pumpkins Bundle (July-December Mini Catalog and available for purchase on August 3) on today’s card, along with some bright pumpkin fall colors!  I love the look of the ombre background with white on top!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Calypso Coral cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 1-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock was added to the right side.
  • The 1-1/2 x 5-1/2 piece of Pansy Petals Designer Paper was added down the center.
  • A 3-1/4 x 4-1/4 piece of Vellum Cardstock was adhered on top..
  • The pumpkins and leaves were cut from Basic White cardstock with the Detailed Pumpkins Dies.  They were adhered to the Vellum cardstock.
  • Gather Together was stamped with Pumpkin Pie Ink on Basic White and hand-cut around the lettering.  It was added to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow around the stem of the pumpkin.
  • A trio of Opal Rounds were added to the background.
