Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge!  This is a fun balloon and snowflake décor piece, isn’t it?  So cute and unusual for a winter display!

 

SNOWFLAKE WISHES

I had a little trouble deciding which pinks to use on my card for this challenge!  I ended up with Melon Mambo and Blushing Bride.  Kind of an unusual combination, but I do like how this turned out!

 

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Blushing Bride cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
    • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock was embossed with the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder.
    • Some Metallic Mesh Ribbon was wrapped around the Whisper White and tied in a knot on the left side.
    • All three sizes of the Stitched Shapes circles were cut from Melon Mambo cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The snowflakes were cut from Whisper White and Blushing Bride cardstock with the So Many Snowflakes Dies, then added with Mini Glue Dots around the circles.
    • Snowflake Wishes from the stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink and hand cut around the letters.  It was popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • Some Elegant Facet Gems were added to the centers of the snowflakes.

The theme this month is “So Sparkly”!  I knew immediately what I wanted to use…Snowflake Wishes and the Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper!  You’ve probably just come from the awesome Melissa Davies!  I just love her work!  Just click on the link below to take you around the entire blog hop for some GREAT inspiration!

SNOWFLAKE WISHES & LITTLE TREATS

Isn’t this a fun little gift to give someone?  I placed a couple packages of the Christmas Rolo candies inside the Little Treats favor, but money tucked inside would work, right?  I’m going to miss that Little Treats Die…make sure to grab it before it retires…it is even on SALE right now!

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Misty Moonlight cardstock, scored at 5-1/2  and folded.
    • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock was cut with the So Many Snowflakes large die.  At the bottom, the greeting was stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink.
    • Some small snowflakes from Snowflake Wishes were stamped with stamped off Balmy Blue Ink in the upper left and lower right corners.
    • Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper was cut 3-3/4 x 3-3/4, then adhered behind the cut out snowflake with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then attached to the front of the card.
    • Some Flowers for Every Season twine was adhered with a Stampin’ Dimensional to the center of the snowflake
    • I punched some Snowflake Splendor Designer Paper with the Label Me Fancy Punch and added that on top of the twine.
    • A smaller snowflake was cut from Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper and attached to the Label with a Mini Glue Dot.
    • In the center is a Blue Gilded Gem and a couple small ones in the background to finish it off.

This DEFINITELY qualifies as sparkly!  I love how it turned out!  I wanted to make a coordinating favor, so grabbed the Little Treat Die.

  • The Little Treat Die Box was cut from Misty Moonlight cardstock and assembled.
  • A 1-1/4 x 6 piece of Snowflake Splendor DSP was wrapped around and adhered in the front.
  • Some Flowers For All Season Twine was added to the front of the DSP with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
  • The scallop circle from the Little Treat Dies was cut from Whisper White and added to the front.
  • A little snowflake was cut from Balmy Blue Glimmer Paper and added to the center of the circle.
  • The Little Treat greeting was stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink on Whisper White, then hand-cut and angled end.  It was added with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
  • The top was closed with some Seaside Spray 1/4″ Metallic Ribbon, tied with some Flowers for a Season Twine that also sparkles with some Silver thread wound thru it!
  • Finally, another Blue Gilded Gem was added to the center of the snowflake.

The card and treat box came together so quickly!  LOVE that!  OK…next up on the Control Freaks Blog Hop is the fabulous Debbie Henderson.  I know you’ll enjoy her projects, too!

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge!  Isn’t this a wonderful snowflake cake? I’d love to get one like this some day!  Gorgeous on a holiday table!

 

Snowflake Wishes

This cake is so pretty, I’d almost hate to cut into it!  Of course, Snowflake Wishes was the perfect set to use for my card!

 

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Coastal Cabana cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
    • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of In Good Taste Designer Paper was added on top.  (I love the texture in this gray background!)
    • I cut three sets of the three smaller snowflakes in the So Many Snowflakes Dies from Coastal Cabana, Highland Heather and Whisper White cardstsocks.
    • The largest Stitched Shape Square was cut from Whisper White cardstock and stamped with the Snowflake Wishes greeting in Highland Heather Ink and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The snowflakes were adhered randomly along the left size.
    • Several blue Adhesive Sequins were added to the centers and next to the greeting for so much sparkle!

Hello!  It’s Thursday again and time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge!  We have a great sketch for you this week!

I thought this sketch would be perfect for Stampin’ Up!’s new Snowflake Wishes Bundle!  Of course, you know I love anything with snowflakes and snowman…on paper, that is!  I’d rather spend my winters in Florida!  lol!  Isn’t that designer paper, gorgeous?  It is from the Snowflake Splendor DSP package…and notice the embossed snowflakes on the Night of Navy panel!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Night of Navy cardstock was embossed with the Winter Snow Embossing Folder and added to the front of the base card.
  • A 2-3/4 x 4-1/4 piece of Snowflake Splendor DSP was added to a 2-7/8 x 4-3/8 piece of Whisper White cardstock, then added to the front towards the left side.
  • One of the larger snowflakes from Snowflake Wishes was stamped with Balmy Blue Ink on scrap Whisper White cardstock.  It was cut with the So Many Snowflakes Dies, along with two smaller ones.  The smaller ones adhered to the DSP an the larger stamped one is popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting from Snowflake Wishes was stamped on a 3/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Whisper White with Night of Navy Ink and the end cut at an angle.  It was added with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to the front.
  • The clear Elegant Facet Gems were added to the center of the 3 snowflakes and the frosted Elegant Facet Gems were added in the background!  So sparkly!
