Winter Leaves of a Tree

Right now my studio looks like a explosion went off in there! It is a MESS! My preorder is still waiting to be unpacked and I hadn't cleaned up after class last week before starting on another project! I think every square inch is covered on my tables. That's #1 on my list today (after I finish my MESSY project!) lol!

I wanted to share one of the cards I did for a recent class. We used Leaves of a Tree stamp in the Holiday Mini and I did a theme of four seasons. I wanted to show my customers that stamp was for more than just Fall. This card was inspired by Eileen LeFever (I think!) for my WINTER season!

I started with Night of Navy as my base card. I added a strip of Beau Chateau Designer Paper down the right side. I stamped on First Edition Specialty Paper with Versamark and embossed with White Embossing Powder. Then I sponged Marina Mist, Night of Navy and Not Quite Navy inks over the First Edition Paper so the embossing popped! I added a diagonal strip of Whisper White that I ran thru the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper Impressions Folder and roughed up the top edge. I wrapped Night of Navy 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon around and tied on the 1" Circle Tag of Marina Mist, stamped with Petite Pairs greeting. A little pearl was added at the bottom of the greeting and a trio of them above the stamped image to balance it out.

Pines & Poinsettias

Well, as you can tell, I've been on the CRAZY busy train lately and my poor blog is suffering! It is not that I'm not creating…I am…just not things that I can post on my blog!

But, here is one project that my Stamp Clubs did a couple months ago, inspired by a Becky Roberts project. Ferrero Rocher candies are my FAVORITE this time of year (well…truthfully, ANY time of year is good for them! lol!) I love how this box is adapted to hold a trio of them! This would be a nice little office gift or school teachers gift…tuck in a gift card for Starbucks or the movies! Fun!

Sorry for the wonky picture, it is a little hard to get the full dimension of the holder! I used a base of Real Red cardstock and Holly Berry Designer Paper Glimmer Stripe and Holly Pattern for decorating it. I used my Stampin' Write markers to ink up the Pinecone image from Stampin' Up!'s Pines & Poinsettias stamp set. It was punched with 1 3/8" Circle and layered on a Red Glimmer Paper Scallop Circle. I added a Garden Green Designer Button tied with White Bakers Twine. At the top I wrapped Early Espresso Quilted Ribbon around the flap and tied a knot.

The tag pulls out and I put the Grateful Greetings message inside! LOVE that greeting! I used a Garden Green Round Tab Punch at the top for the pullout.

Another busy week getting ready for my Tags Stamp a Stack and my husband's holiday party on Friday! Still need to make gifts for them, too! Anyone have ideas on using the Ho Ho Ho On Board besides the garland? I bought a bunch of them on Clearance Rack and thought they would be FUN to use!

CCMC178 – Plum Pudding Punch Art

Wow! Aren't the weeks FLYING by…here it is the first of December! Oh my! We even had a few snow flurries yesterday. I am SO not ready for THAT! It is also time for another Thursday Challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary! The ideas from the Design Team are FABULOUS this week, so make sure you stop by and see them all! PLUS we have an exciting prize to award just for playing along with our challenges during December…but check out the details over there!

This was a FUN sketch…I knew what I wanted to do when I first saw it.

And my card…a sweet treat just in time for the holidays! Plum pudding punch art! Now, I don't think I've ever HAD plum pudding…but it certainly LOOKS good!

I started with a base of Garden Green cardstock. I added some Holly Berry Designer Paper layered on Real Red. Then I cut two strips of Real Red cardstock. I stamped Merry Christmas in Early Espresso across the bottom and added the Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine. I made my Plum Pudding by punching Early Espresso with the 2 1/2" Circle, then used the Square Lattice Impressions Folder. I cut another 2 1/2" Circle from Very Vanilla and ran it thru the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots folder. Then I trimmed the bottom with the Scallop Trim Border Punch. I added the Holly leaves from the Stocking Accents Die in Garden Green, then a Red Glimmer Berry.

Bright Hopes

I thought I'd share one of the cards from my Bright Hopes Stamp A Stack Class that I held on Monday night! It was one of my favorites…mainly because of the non-traditional Christmas colors! I borrowed the general layout from Mary Brown…switching up a few tihngs, like where I placed the greeting and the flower in the center of the tree!

The base of the card is Night of Navy. I added a layer of Wisteria Wonder that I ran thru the Big Shot with the Snow Burst Impressions Folder. There is a piece of Wisteria Wonder Patterns DSP in the background. I added a strip of Silver Glimmer Paper and then wrapped the Night of Navy 1/4 Grosgrain Ribbon around and adhered in the back.

The tree from Stampin' Up!'s Bright Hopes stamp set is stamped with Lucky Limeade on Naturals cardstock on the Ovals #2 diecut. I added the flower from Itty Bitty Punches in Night of Navy in the center with a small Pearl Jewel. It is popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals on the front of the card. Finally, I added a Lucky Limeade banner with Merry Christmas. These colors just POP for me!

Got to run and finish up some projects for my Stamp Clubs tonight! AND…need to get my Challenge card done for tomorrow's Create with Connie and Mary challenge! Have a WONDERFUL day!

I found a similar idea online and it was just too cute not to CASE! I changed out a few things like the mantle, greeting and colors. I loved how the fireplace was actually INSIDE the card and cut out on the front so it shows thru!

The base of the card is Naturals White and I ran it thru the Big Shot with the Square Lattice Impressions Folder on the front for the brick look. I cut out the fireplace opening on the front, then trimmed it with Soft Suede cardstock. That and the mantel was stamped with Stampin' Up!'s Woodgrain background stamp in Early Espresso on the Soft Suede. I made a Basic Black firebox inside the card and added two Word Window punches of Soft Suede for the logs. The fire is three Bird Wing punches of Daffodil Delight, sponged with Pumpkin Pie and placed around the logs.

I stamped Stampin' Up!'s Stitched Stocking images in Poppy Parade and Lucky Limeade and punched with the Stocking Builder Punch. I added Silver Glimmer Paper for the toes and cuffs, and a loop of Old Olive 1/8 Taffeta Ribbon. They are hung on the mantel with Silver Mini Brads. Finally, I stamped Christmas Greetings (from Grateful Greetings) in Poppy Parade and punched with the Extra Large Oval and layered on Decorative Label of Basic Black. As my customers will tell you, I love Punch Art and this one was fun to put together!

CCMC177 – Holiday Wreath Punch Art

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!

I hope you are enjoying the day with family and friends…I know we are! But, it's Thursday and we have a wonderful color combination for you to try over on Create with Connie and Mary! So, after you are stuffed with turkey, check it out and play along!

I've seen a couple different styles of the bird wing wreath, so wanted to give it a try!

I started with a base of Lucky Limeade cardstock and added Night of Navy that I ran thru the Big Shot with the Houndstooth Impressions Folder. I added two strips of the Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon across the center. I added a panel of River Rock cardstock. Then the fun part! I punched out a bunch of bird wings from the Two Step Bird Punch from the Patterns Designer Paper in Lucky Limeade and Night of Navy. I punched a 1 3/8" circle of Whisper White and used Petite Pairs greeting in the center, then started building my wreath around it…using some Stampin' Dimensionals for added height. I added some 1/4" Silver Glimmer Circles around the wreath…they certainly SPARKLE! Finally, I added a bow of the Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon with a Lucky Limeade patterned brad in the center.

Winter Wishes Stitched Felt

I've been using a lot of the Stitched Felt in a Believe Frame Class that I'm offering. The Frame takes one of each style, so they have plenty of felt pieces left to use on other projects! I wanted to show my customers a card that they could use the mittens on! Can you tell what I used for the "garland"? If you guessed the tree from Lovely As A Tree stamp set…you are right!!!

I started with a base of Garden Green cardstock and layered on Confetti White cardstock. I used a strip of Stampin' Up!'s Letters to Santa Designer Paper, placed on Cherry Cobbler cardstock. I stamped the big tree in Lovely as a Tree in Garden Green twice across from each other, inking up only the top 2/3's portion of the stamp with my Stampin' Write Marker. I tied a bow with the Chocolate Chip Dotted Ribbon and placed a Red Glimmer Brad in the center to hide the bottoms of the tree. I added the Stitched Felt Mitten around the brad. The string was too long, so I did end up cutting it at the top. I adhered the mittens with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Finally, I stamped Christmas Greetings from Grateful Greetings in Early Espresso on Cherry Cobbler and punched with the Decorative Label Punch. I added two Rhinestone Jewels to the label.
