Saturday Blog Hop – Last Chance SAB

Happy Saturday! It’s time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop and our theme this week is Last Chance Sale-a-Bration. Can you believe there is only a few more days to take advantage of the BEST sale of the year?

THOUGHTFUL BLOOMS

I think this Thoughtful Blooms stamp set was the first SAB I picked and I have used it the most! I love the Stone Embossing Folder in the background that is also a FREE SAB item!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake was embossed with the Stone (FREE SAB) Embossing Folder.
A 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Pleased as Punch DSP was added across the front with a 1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Granny Apple Green cardstock under it.
The Stitched So Sweetly label was cut with the Dies from Whisper White cardstock, and the lattice image from Thoughtful Blooms was stamped in the center with Coastal Cabana Ink. Congratulations was stamped with Memento Black Ink towards the bottom.
The flowers were stamped with Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie Inks on Whisper White cardstock and punched with the Blooms Punch (FREE SAB). Some Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots were placed in the centers and they were popped up with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The leaves were stamped with Granny Apple Green and hand-cut, then tucked around the flowers.

Saturday Blog Hop – One Layer Cards

Happy Saturday! It’s time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop and our theme this week is One Layer Cards…meaning, the images are stamped directly on the base…no extras!

THOUGHTFUL BLOOMS

In my opinion, these are some of the HARDEST type of cards to make! Even more than special folds! I don’t seem to know when to “stop” and want to fill in every space. So, this card is very minimalist for me! But, I did create with a little interest by scoring a couple lines across the bottom and filling in with a Black Marker.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
Across the front at 10 and 10-1/8, two lines were scored, then filled with a Black Maraker.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink off center.
The large flowers were stamped first with Highland Heather Ink, then the solid leaves with Granny Apple Green. The star flowers were stamped with Coastal Cabana, and the smallest flower with Daffodil Delight.
Two purple Noble Peacock Rhinestones were added to the center of the purple flowers and a trio of green Noble Peacock Rhinestones were added in the background.

So, what do you think? Did I succeed? I’ll tell you it took me FOUR tries to get the spacing I liked! lol! Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite SAB product

Well…my first favorite SAB product is probably the Golden Honey Designer Paper! However, since that is on “non-orderable” status, I decided to feature the Thoughtful Blooms and Small Bloom Punch which is my second favorite for the first release of SAB (I don’t have any of the second release items yet…lol!) I originally made this card for my SU Trip Achievers Swap a few months ago!

THOUGHTFUL BLOOMS & SMALL BLOOMS PUNCH

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Flirty Flamingo cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded to form base card.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Smoky Slate is embossed with the Coastal Weave Embossing Folder.
A 1 x 5 strip of From My Heart Specialty Designer Paper (see it isn’t JUST for Valentine’s Day!) was added to a 1/4 x 5 strip of Flirty Flamingo Cardstock, then added on the front.
Whisper White was cut with the Stitched Shapes Oval and stamped with the greeting from Thoughtful Blooms on the right side in Memento Black Ink. The vine was stamped with Granny Apple Green Ink on the left side, then the sprinkles with Flirty Flamingo Ink.
The flower in Thoughtful Blooms was stamped with Poppy Parade on Flirty Flamingo cardstock three times and punched with the Small Bloom Punch. They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
In the centers of the flowers are three Nobel Peacock Rhinestones.

Saturday Blog Hop – Achievement

Gosh! It is almost the end of January! WOOHOO! One month closer to spring! This month on Create with Connie and Mary blog hops, we are featuring “empowerment words”. Every Saturday we will have a new word that hopefully inspires the card we make. Our last week’s Saturday Blog Hop word is “ACHIEVEMENT”! Don’t we all love that feeling of achievement? Nothing quite like it! And, when we are recognized for that achievement, it is even better!

THOUGHTFUL BLOOMS

I love the stamp set and punch in the Sale-a-Bration that are available for FREE with purchase! Best time of the year! I’ve used both the Thoughtful Blooms stamp set and Small Bloom Punch on today’s “Acheivement” card.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock is embossed with the Coastal Weave Embossing Folder.
A 1-1/4 x 3-1/4 piece of Birthday Bonanza Designer Paper is cut with a flag end and placed on top.
The Scallop Rectangle of Pineapple Punch cardstock is cut with Stitched So Sweetly die and added on top.
The Thoughtful Blooms flower was stamped three times with Pineapple Punch Ink and the centers with Memento Black on scrap Whisper White and punched with the Small Bloom Punch. The leaves were stamped three times with Granny Apple Green and hand-cut. All were added to the front of the rectangle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
CongratYOUlations from Thoughtful Blooms was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 1/2 x 2-1/4 piece of Whisper White, cut the flag end and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Bermuda Bay Nobel Peacock Rhinestones were added to the centers of the flowers for a little bling.
