It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! For each Thursday in July, we pick a different sample from Stampin’ Up’s! Annual Catalog to use as our inspiration. We are not copying the card but using it to inspire our creation…maybe we use the same set or the colors or the layout or some combination of all the above…it is fun seeing where the inspiration piece will take each of the designers! Here’s this week’s inspiration:

SCHOOL DAYS

I bought this set because I thought it would be fun to make up some goodie bags for my grandkids to celebrate going back to school next month! They couldn’t wait to show me their new bookbags when I was visiting with them the other day.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Cloud Cover cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of yellow gingham Floral Delight DSP was added on top.
A 3-1/4 x 4-1/2 piece of Cloud Cover was added to the center.
The 3 x 4-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the stars across the top in Cloud Cover Ink. The bottom was brushed with Cloud Cover Ink using a Blending Brush.
The bookbags were stamped on Basic White cardstock with Sea Secret, Timid Tiger and Darling Duckling Inks and hand-cut, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The books were stamped with Cloud Cover Ink on Basic White and hand-cut, then placed under the center bookbag.
Some White Baker’s Twine was tied in a large loop bow and added next to the books.
The greeting was stamped with Sea Secret Ink on 5/8 x 2-1/2 strip of Cloud Cover cardstock and the ends cut at an angle. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Sea Secret 2025-27 In Color Flat Pearls were added to the background.

Happy Saturday! This week our CCM Design Team is showing is “Back to School” for our Saturday Blog Hop! I know our schools have pushed back the starting date until the end of August…who knows if they will actually meet in person or not. Prayers going out to the administrations who are making these calls. No matter what they decide, many people will be upset. So…I think we need something cheerful to see, don’t you?

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 2 x 5-1/4 piece of Plaid Tidings Designer Paper was added to a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock.
A length of Pets Ribbon was adhered to the back, hiding the seam.
The 2 x 3 piece of Basic Black cardstock was added to a 2-1/4 x 3-1/4 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.
ABC was cut from Whisper White cardstock with the Playful Alphabet and adhered with Monoadhesive Glue.
Welcome Back from Harvest Hellos Stamp Set was stamped with Poppy Parade Ink on Whisper White and punched with the Classic Label Punch. The “chalkboard” was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The apple was punched with the Apple Builder Punch from Poppy Parade cardstock and embossed with the Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folder (Aug-Dec catalog). The leaf was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Granny Apple Green and punched. The stem was punched from Early Espresso cardstock. They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of red Holiday Rhinestone were added in the background.
