Saturday Blog Hop – Back to School

Happy Saturday! This week our CCM Design Team is showing is “Back to School” for our Saturday Blog Hop!  I know our schools have pushed back the starting date until the end of August…who knows if they will actually meet in person or not.  Prayers going out to the administrations who are making these calls.  No matter what they decide, many people will be upset.  So…I think we need something cheerful to see, don’t you?

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 2 x 5-1/4 piece of Plaid Tidings Designer Paper was added to a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock.
  • A length of Pets Ribbon was adhered to the back, hiding the seam.
  • The 2 x 3 piece of Basic Black cardstock was added to a 2-1/4 x 3-1/4 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.
  • ABC was cut from Whisper White cardstock with the Playful Alphabet and adhered with Monoadhesive Glue.
  • Welcome Back from Harvest Hellos Stamp Set was stamped with Poppy Parade Ink on Whisper White and punched with the Classic Label Punch.  The “chalkboard” was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The apple was punched with the Apple Builder Punch from Poppy Parade cardstock and embossed with the Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folder (Aug-Dec catalog).  The leaf was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Granny Apple Green and punched.  The stem was punched from Early Espresso cardstock.  They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of red Holiday Rhinestone were added in the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Cute Halloween Cards

Happy Saturday! It’s time for another Saturday Blog Hop! This week our Create with Connie and Mary theme is “Cute Halloween Cards!”  Such a fun card, even though it is a little harder to make them “cute” vs. “scary”!  I thought the addition of a black cat would make mine a little less scary looking!  And…the face on the pumpkin is a friendly one, right?

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Gray Granite cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded to form base card.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pumpkin Pie cardstock is added to the base card.
  • A 4 x 4 piece of the Monster Bash Designer Paper was added to the left side of the bae card.
  • The large Nested Stitched Label was cut from Gray Granite cardstock and added to the front.
  • The moon was punched with the 2-1/4 Circle Punch from Daffodil Delight cardstock, sponged with Pumpkin Pie Ink around the edges and added to the label.
  • The cat was punched from Basic Black cardstock with the Cat Punch and green Rhinestone Eyes from the Holiday Rhinestone Package added to it.  It is popped up on the label with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The pumpkin from Harvest Hellos was stamped with Cajun Craze Ink on Whisper White cardstock, then colored with Pumpkin Pie Light & Dark and Light Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends.  The face was stamped with Memento Black Ink.  It was punched with the Apple Builder Punch and added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The stem was punched from Early Espresso and added behind the pumpkin.
  • The greeting from Harvest Hellos was stamped with Memento Black Ink.

Saturday Blog Hop – Pumpkin Spice Season

Happy Saturday! It’s time for another Saturday Blog Hop! This week our Create with Connie and Mary theme is “Pumpkin Spice Season”. One of my most favorite things about fall is all the Pumpkin Spice products…like Starbuck’s Pumpkin Spice Latte’s!  Since I don’t consume sugar any more, I haven’t had one in over a year!  I’ve had to find a way to make their latte’s at home…I think I do pretty good!

I admit that I’m pretty bummed that Stampin’ Up! retired the coffee set.  So, I set out to recreate the look of a Starbuck’s to go cup!  I found a template online and used it to trace the pattern on the Come to Gather Designer Paper.  Worked out pretty well!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pumpkin Pie cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded to form base card.
  • A 3-3/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Early Espresso cardstock was wrapped with the Come to Gather Ribbon across the center, then added to the front.
  • The coffee cup template was used to cut the Come to Gather Designer Paper and the top from Whisper White.
  • The greeting in Harvest Hellos was stamped with Cajun Craze Ink on the lid, then adhered to the top of the cup.
  • A 1-3/4 x 3 piece of Cajun Craze cardstock was added across the middle of the cup, then the sides trimmed off.
  • The pumpkin from Harvest Hellos was stamped with Cajun Craze Ink on Whisper White cardstock and colored with Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends.  It was punched with the Apple Builder Punch.  It is popped up on the band with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The leaf was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Pretty Peacock cardstock and hand-cut, then added to the pumpkin.
  • The stem was punched from Early Espresso cardstock and added to the pumpkin with a Mini Glue Dot.

IM90 – Harvest Hellos

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge!  Mary has found an AWESOME looking fall cake…making me wish I hadn’t given up sugar!  I’d love to dig in, especially if it is spice or carrot cake inside!  Yum!

 

I noticed that Mary had use Gather Together, so I wanted to use a different stamp set.  I went with the fun Harvest Hellos on my card and kept it pretty simple!

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Very Vanilla cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
    • On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Come to Gather Designer Paper.
    • The 3 x 4-1/4 piece of Very Vanilla cardstock was embossed with the Corrugated Embossing Folder and added to the front.
    • The Nested Stitched Die is cut from Garden Green cardstock and added on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The pumpkin from Harvest Hellos is stamped with Cajun Craze Ink and colored with Light & Dark Pumpkin Pie and Light Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blends.  It was punched out with the Apple Builder Punch and added to the Nested Label with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The leaf and vine were stamped with Garden Green and the leaf colored with Pear Pizzazz Light Blends. They were hand-cut and added to the pumpkin.
    • The stem was punched from Early Espresso cardstock.
    • Give Thanks was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Garden Green cardstock and cut with the smallest Nested Stitched Label Die, then added on front with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

 

Funny that this card gave me fits putting together…it was torn apart SEVERAL times until I was satisfied with the balance!   I slept on it and then worked on it again in the morning and it pulled together easily!  OK, make sure to check out what Mary did with this challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary!

Saturday Blog Hop – Back to School

Happy Saturday! It’s time for another Saturday Blog Hop! This week our Create with Connie and Mary theme is “Back to School”.  I think most schools are back to school by now…or at least went back this week!  Our schools have been back in session for a couple weeks now.

I think Stampin’ Up!’s Harvest Hellos is one of the cutest we’ve had in a long time!  I like that the punch fits either an apple or pumpkin or jack-o-lantern!  Makes it so versatile!  So, for my back to school card, I wanted a notebook paper background…easy to make with the Simply Scored Tool!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Real Red cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded to form base card.
  • On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pineapple Punch cardstock.
  • A 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Whisper White was placed in the Simply Scored Tool, then the Balmy Blue Marker used to make the lines in the notebook paper every 1/2 inch with 1 inch at the top.  The side was scored at 3/4 ink.
  • A 1/4″ Hole Punch was used on the left side for the binder holes.  It was adhered to the base card.
  • A 1/2 x 3 piece of Brights (Granny Apple Green) Designer Paper was added towards the bottom of the notebook paper.
  • The apple from Harvest Hellos stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White and colored with the Real Red and Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends.  It was punched with the Apple Builder Punch and placed on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The stem was punched from Early Espresso cardstock and added under the apple with a Mini Glue Dot.
  • The leaf was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White, colored with Granny Apple Green Blends, then punched with the Apple Builder Punch and added to the apple.
  • Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the base of the stem.
  • Welcome Back from Harvest Hellos stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Granny Apple Green cardstock and punched with the Classic Label Punch, then added towards the top of the notebook paper.
  • A trio of Red Rhinestones were added to the background.

Harvest Hellos

Over on Create with Connie and Mary, we just opened our Harvest Hellos Collection this week.  Yes, Mary and I both expedited our Holiday Catalog preorders and worked hard over the weekend to get our Collection done early JUST FOR YOU!  Our mission is to help those demos who struggle with class prep OR who simply don’t have time to create and prep!  AND give our customers lots of great ideas for card making and small 3D projects.  That is why we started Create with Connie and Mary SOOOO long ago!  If you haven’t tried our design service yet, this one is a GREAT one to get!  You’ll love it!  And remember…you won’t see our Collection designs all over the internet…they are exclusive for our subscribers only!

But, while I had the stamp set out, I decided to make another card using the fun apples!  Next week is back to school for most of our school districts and I’m sure a teacher would LOVE to get this card, don’t you?  It really was SO fun to make!  This also fits The Paper Players back to school challenge!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Granny Apple Green cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock, a 1-1/2 x 4 piece of Regals 6×6 Designer Paper was added to the bottom.
  • A piece of Granny Apple Green Textured Weave Ribbon was wrapped around the Whisper White and tied in a knot towards the left side.
  • The Harvest Hellos greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink above the knot.
  • The apples were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Real Red, Crushed Curry and Granny Apple Green cardstocks, then punched with the Apple Builder Punch.  The leaves were stamped with Old Olive Ink on Old Olive cardstock and punched, and the stems stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Whisper White cardstock, colored with Early Espresso Light Blends and punched.  They were all added on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A little Wink of Stella was applied to the apple sides for a little sparkle.
  • A trio of Holiday Rhinestones in all three colors were added in the background for a little bling!

 

I REALLY, REALLY love how this turned out!  I think I’ll send it off to my daughter-in-law next week just to remind her that she is a great third-grade teacher (and mom!)
