SOUNDS OF THE SEASON

I had a little host rewards to spend, so I picked up the Sounds of the Season Dies and just had to use them on my card today!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White is embossed with the Brick & Mortar Embossing Folder, then added to the front.
- The trio of bells from Sounds of the Season Dies were cut from Rococo Rose cardstock and added to the front in a cluster.
- The larger branches were cut four times from Crumb Cake cardstock and added to the top of the bells with Mini Glue Dots.
- Some Metallic Mesh was tied in a bow and added to the top of the bells with a Mini Glue Dot.
- A couple snowflakes cut from Whisper White cardstock with the So Many Snowflakes Dies were added to the background.
- Rhinestone Jewels were added in the center of the snowflakes.
- Be Merry from Banner Year stamp set was stamped with Rococo Rose Ink on 1/2 x 2-1/2 piece of Whisper White cardstock, then cut the end at an angle and tucked it under the bells.

This is really a pretty card with all the sparkle and white background!

Saturday Blog Hop – Back to School

Happy Saturday! This week our CCM Design Team is showing is “Back to School” for our Saturday Blog Hop! I know our schools have pushed back the starting date until the end of August…who knows if they will actually meet in person or not. Prayers going out to the administrations who are making these calls. No matter what they decide, many people will be upset. So…I think we need something cheerful to see, don’t you?

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 2 x 5-1/4 piece of Plaid Tidings Designer Paper was added to a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock.
A length of Pets Ribbon was adhered to the back, hiding the seam.
The 2 x 3 piece of Basic Black cardstock was added to a 2-1/4 x 3-1/4 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.
ABC was cut from Whisper White cardstock with the Playful Alphabet and adhered with Monoadhesive Glue.
Welcome Back from Harvest Hellos Stamp Set was stamped with Poppy Parade Ink on Whisper White and punched with the Classic Label Punch. The “chalkboard” was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The apple was punched with the Apple Builder Punch from Poppy Parade cardstock and embossed with the Wrapped in Texture Embossing Folder (Aug-Dec catalog). The leaf was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Granny Apple Green and punched. The stem was punched from Early Espresso cardstock. They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of red Holiday Rhinestone were added in the background.

IM135 – Life is Beautiful

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week’s inspiration is a beautiful fall decorated cake.

I’ve been binge watching The Next Great Baker when I’m eating lunch, and this cake looks like one that they would make! I had to use Life is Beautiful set…the tree was perfect for this challenge!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Bumblebee cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded to form the base card.
- The 3-1/2 x 5-1/2 Whisper White cardstock was stamped with the tree trunk in Early Espresso, then the leaves in the tree with Bumblebee Ink, Real Red Ink, Pumpkin Pie Ink and Old Olive Ink. Some leaves were also added to the ground.
- Thinking of You was stamped with Early Espresso Ink.
- The panel was added to a 3-3/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Early Espresso cardstock, then to the front of the card.
- The fence from Autumn Wheelbarrow Dies was cut from Crumb Cake cardstock, then added to the front with Foam Strips.
- Some gold/orange sequins from Sequins for Everything package were sprinkled in the tree leaves ad one next to the greeting for some extra bling!

Making Spirits Bright

I love the greetings and images in Stampin’ Up!’s Making Spirits Bright stamp set…especially the eyeball martini! But, since we are getting ready to start the Holiday/Winter Collection of Create with Connie and Mary, I thought I’d better go with the season and make my card a Christmas holiday card today! It was also my first time to use the Star Border punch…and I backed it with Champagne Glimmer Paper! I also did a second version of this card which I’ll show off later this week!

Here are the details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Whisper White, folded in half.
Next layer is 4 x 5-1/4 Garden Green.
On the 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 layer of Real Red, I used the Confetti Stars Punch along the left side. As a bonus, I have all these little star confetti sitting in a pile ready to use in a shaker card!
Behind the Real Red layer, I adhered a 1-1/2 x 4-3/4 piece of Champagne Glimmer Paper…it really shimmers in real life!
Across the front I added a 1 x 4 piece of Nordic Noel Designer Paper (LOVE that stripe and the traditional Christmas colors in this DSP!)
I stamped the Christmas drink with Black Stazon Ink on Whisper White, then used Real Red, Garden Green, So Saffron and Pool Party Markers to color it. I cut it out with the Window Frame Framelit and layered it on a square 1/4″ larger than the framelit.

To celebrate the first day of PREVIEW WEEK, I made up a CAS (Clean & Simple) card using the same set, Fall Fest! Check it out! I was inspired by a card I did a few years ago with a mummy stamp lined up in a row…but these bright colored ghosts are twice as fun!

Here are the VERY simple details:

The base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Sahara Sand, folded in half.
I added a 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Basic Black cardstock.
Along the bottom are two 3/8″ strips of Motley Monsters Designer Paper (great way to use up scraps!)
I stamped the ghost image in Tangerine Tango, Crushed Curry and Bermuda Bay on Whisper White and cut them with the Fun Fall Framelits. On the middle one I added a red Heart sequin! They are popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I also stamped Happy Halloween from And Many More in Tuxedo Black Ink on Whisper White and cut it with the Word Bubble Framelits then adhered to the top.
