IM33 – Colorful Seasons

Today’s inspiration challenge is very interesting collection of pottery. I could see lots of geometric designs and leaves and I love the brown/rust colors. I went with a little of everything on my card using Colorful Seasons stamp set and Seasonal Layers Thinlits!

Here’s what I came up with:

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Early Espresso cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 3/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Neutrals Designer Paper was added to the left side of the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock, then adhered to the base card.
The open leaf pattern from Colorful Seasons was stamped twice with Early Espresso Ink in the background on the Whisper White layer.
An open leaf was cut from Cajun Craze cardstock with the Seasonal Layers Thinlits, then the solid leaf cut from Early Espresso cardstock. Both were adhered together with a Mini Glue Dot.
Some natural Nature’s Twine was wrapped around the stems and tied in a bow. The leaves were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Colorful Seasons stamp set was stamped with Cajun Craze above the leaves.

CCMC484 Seasonal Bells

Today we have a fun sketch challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary! I finished my card up late and was so surprised that no one else had used snowflakes on their card! It was what I first thought about when I saw the sketch! So glad this turned out like it did in my head!

Here’s my card:

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is the gold check pattern in Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Paper cut to 4 x 5-1/4.
All four corners of the 3 x 4-1/4 piece of Whisper White cardstock were rounded with the Corner Rounder and placed on top.
A 1-3/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Gold Metallic Paper was cut with a flag end and added on top of the Whisper White.
A 1 x 5 strip of Gold Glimmer Paper was added.
Three snowflakes were cut from Whisper White with the Seasonal Layers Framelits and added on top with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Gold Faceted Gems were added in the center of each snowflake.
The banner Happy Christmas was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on Whisper White and hand-cut, then added on top with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite Designer Paper

It’s Saturday and time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Our design team theme is featuring “Favorite Designer Paper” either from the Annual Catalog or the upcoming Holiday Catalog for their cards this week. And, trust me…this was REALLY hard for me! There are SO many packages of the designer papers that I love!

I went with a new one in the Holiday Catalog called Year of Cheer Specialty Paper. I actually picked this DSP package as one of the prizes in the Hospitality Suite in Thailand because I love the gold and silver snowflakes! I wish this photo did the gold and silver metallic cardstock more justice…it is SO pretty in person!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Silver Metallic cardstock
The 3-1/4 x 4-1/2 piece of Year of Cheer DSP is layered on a 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 piece of Gold Metallic cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Across the front is a 1 x 4 piece of Whisper White cardstock, stamped with the greeting from Holly Berry Happiness in Memento Black Ink. It is layered with a 1/4 x 4 piece of Gold Metallic cardstock along the bottom.
Two of the snowflakes from Colorful Season thinlits were cut from Gold Metallic cardstock and Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper (take the backing of the DD Glimmer first to make it easier to cut.) They were adhered to the front.
Two of the lightest Glimmer Dots were placed in the center of the snowflakes.

CCMC463 Colorful Seasons

It’s Thursday and time for another Create with Connie and Mary challenge! It’s a Case the Catalog challenge again this week!

For my “case the catalog”, I chose to use the layout again this week…along with the delightful Colorful Seasons stamp set. There are just SO many things you can do with this one set! But I especially LOVE the large “just breathe” stamp! Again, so many uses for it…cheer someone up, or just because! This card I think is much prettier than it photographed, too!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top is a 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Soft Sky, placed slightly on an angle.
Next is a 2-1/2 x 4-1/2 piece of Naturally Eclectic Designer Paper on an angle.
A strip of Navy Gingham Ribbon goes across the front and is secured in the back of the Soft Sky layer.
Just breathe was stamped with Night of Navy ink on a 1-1/2 x 4-1/4 piece of Whisper White, then angled on the front of the card.
The large leaf was stamped with Night of Navy Ink on Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, and the small leave was stamped with Lemon Lime Twist Ink on Whisper White, both were cut with the Seasonal Layers Thinlits and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Finally, a few small Rhinestones were scattered on the front for a little bit of bling!

SUOC176 Colorful Seasons

The theme this time on SUO Challenges is “Out in the Garden”. Love the Colorful Seasons stamp set because of all the seasons represented. And, when I think of a garden, I think of a nice chair and beautiful flowers. I combined both on my card and used the new In Color, Berry Burst! My Stamp Clubs loved this card last month!

Here’s my card:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Berry Burst cardstock, a 2-1/4 x 4 piece of Fresh Florals DSP was adhered along the bottom.
On the 3 x 4 piece of Whisper White, the tree limb from Colorful Seasons was stamped in Early Espresso Ink and the flowers in Berry Burst Ink.
The greeting from Colorful Seasons was stamped with Early Espresso Ink towards the left side.
The chair was cut with the Thinlet from Early Espresso cardstock and added to the front.
The drink was stamped with Berry Burst next to the chair.

That’s it!!! SUPER simple, but yet love the look! What can you do with the Out in the Garden theme? We love to see! And don’t forget to check out what the rest of the Design Team for SUO Challenges did this week with this theme! I’m sure they will have some great ideas!
