It’s Thursday and time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! We have a beautiful summer color combination for you today to try using THREE new colors! These are there of my favorites!

Here’s my card using an old favorite floral set, Falling Flowers!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Shaded Spruce cardstock, folded at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 1 x 4 piece of Mango Melody Brights DSP was added to the right side of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White.
The leaves image was stamped twice with Memento Black Ink and the Whisper White and then colored with the Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends.
The flower was stamped twice with Memento Black Ink on scrap Whisper White, then colored with the Pineapple Punch and Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends. One was cut with the May Flowers Framelits. The second flower center portion was hand-cut and added on top with a Stampin’ Dimensional for some layers to the flower. It was added over the leaves with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The filler vines were stamped with Mango Melody Ink on Mango Melody cardstock, then cut with the May Flowers Framelits and tucked under the flower.
You’re the Best from All Things Thanks was stamped with Memento Black Ink.
A trio of Basic Adhesive Backed Sequins was added to the front for a little bling!

Falling Flowers

I recently participated in a new Annual Catalog swap for the Control Freak Swappers! Here’s the swap card I created using the Falling Flowers stamp set and May Flowers Framelits. I took my colors from the Affectionately Yours Designer Paper.

Here are the details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Crumb Cake folded in half.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Mint Macaron was embossed with the Petal Burst folder.
A 2 x 4 piece of Affectionately Yours Designer Paper was punched with the Triple Banner Punch, a loop of Watermelon Wonder Striped Ribbon stapled at the top and then added to the front.
The larger flower was stamped with Night of Navy Ink on Flirty Flamingo cardstock, the leaves with Night of Navy Ink on Mint Macaron and the small center with Flirty Flamingo on So Saffron cardstock, layered together and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the front. A Perfect White Accents is placed in the center.
The banner from Thoughtful Banners was stamped with Flirty Flamingo Ink on So Saffron cardstock, then celebrate was stamped with Night of Navy ink in the center. It was punched with the Duet Banner Punch and tucked partially under the banner.

Falling Flowers Bundle

We JUST opened the Create with Connie and Mary July Mini Session today, so you don’t want to miss out! It’s not too late to join to see the fabulous projects our designers did this month!

There are SO many great flower sets in the new catalog…and with coordinating framelits! I featured Falling Flowers and May Flowers Framelits this month for the July Mini Session and had SO much fun with designing them! Here’s one card that I didn’t use…but I love it and saved it to share with you.

I love the look of layering the open, lacy May Flowers diecut over Designer Paper…and this one I added interest by having it appear to run off the edge.

Here are the details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White cardstock, folded in half.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Sweet Sugarplum cardstock.
Over that is a 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 piece of Blooms & Bliss Designer Paper (love this watercolor pattern!).
On the 3 x 4-1/4 piece of Whisper White cardstock, the edge was cut with the May Flowers Framelit to just give an outline. The greeting from Watercolor Wishes was stamped with Memento Black Ink.
Some Sweet Sugarplum Ruched Ribbon was tied around and knotted on the front. The Whisper White layer was added to the front.
Then some scrap Sweet Sugarplum cardstock was cut to make the flower. The flower was adhered in the outline area and carefully trimmed along the edges to line up with the Whisper White layer.
In the center is a Perfect White Accent.

CCMC414 May Flowers Framelits

Love the color challenge this week on Create with Connie and Mary and loved that I got to use my May Flowers Framelits, the colors are SO summery!

Here’s my card using the May Flowers Framelits:

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Tangerine Tango, folded in half.
On the 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Whisper White, a 1-1/2 x 5 strip of Fruit Stand Designer Paper was placed across the front.
Two of the flowers in the May Flowers Framelits were cut from Peekaboo Peach. One was adhered to Tangerine Tango cardstock, the cut around the shape of the flower. The layers were adhered together with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
In the center, the small flower from Falling Flowers stamp set was stamped with Cucumber Crush Ink on Cucumber Crush cardstock, then cut with the framelits and added with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
Two leaves were cut from Cucumber Crush cardstock and tucked under the flowers. An In Color Enamel Shape was added to the center.
The greeting from Watercolor Wishes was stamped with Cucumber Crush Ink.

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Emerald Envy

It’s time for another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! This month we are featuring the new In Colors…and Emerald Envy is up this week!

I knew I wanted to do some type of floral card…so pulled out the Falling Flowers stamp set and May Flowers Framelit Dies to use!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Emerald Envy, folded in half.
On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White, a strip of Playful Palette Washi Tape is added to the left side and a 1 x 4 piece of Playful Palette Designer Paper Stack is added to the bottom.
The floral stem from Falling Flowers is stamped above the DSP with Emerald Envy Ink and the flower buds colored with Daffodil Delight and Flirty Flamingo Markers and leaves with Emerald Envy Marker.
Some Emerald Envy Thick Twine is wrapped around and tied in a bow.
The Falling Flowers flower is stamped with Memento Black Ink twice on Daffodil Delight cardstock, then cut with the May Flowers Framelits. The inside portion of the second flower was added on top of the full flowers with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the edges were sponged with Flirty Flamingo Ink. The center is colored with Flirty Flamingo Marker.
Three leaves were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Emerald Envy cardstock, then cut with the May Flowers Framelits.
The flower was placed on the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the leaves tucked under the flower.
