IM132 – Floral Essence

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week’s inspiration is a selection of brightly colored yarns.

I looked thru my Designer Paper stash and saw that Flowers for Every Season had pretty much the colors in these yarns!  Score!  I pulled out an “old” set in the Annual Catalog, Floral Essence, and combined it with new dies, Tasteful Labels, and new In Colors!

 

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Magenta Madness cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded to form the base card.
    • A 3 x 4 piece of Flowers for Every Season Designer Paper was added to the top of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock.
    • A piece of Magenta Madness Ribbon was added across the front and secured in the back to hide the seam.
    • The label from Tasteful Labels was cut from Whisper White cardstock and stamped with the Many Mates greeting in Pacific Point Ink.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The flower from Floral Essence was stamped with Magenta Madness Ink on Whisper White and the center with Bumblebee Ink.  The leaves were stamped with Just Jade Ink.  They were all hand-cut and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • A trio of In Color Enamel Dots were added for a touch of bling!

IM78 – Floral Essence

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday photo!  It’s a holiday week here in the United States and this wreath is SO patriotic!  I love seeing all the red/white/blue this time of year.

 

I pulled out my Floral Essence stamp set…the shape of the flowers in this set look similar to the wreath’s flowers.  I must admit, I didn’t think I’d get this set at first, but I have used it a LOT more than I thought I would!  We used it for our CCMC Floral Essence Collection…it is SO fun and colorful, too!  You can still purchase it HERE!

 

Does this layout look familiar to you?  I did a card earlier this year  with the layout using Bloom by Bloom stamp set…you can see that one HERE!

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
    • On top is a1-3/4 x 5-1/2 strip of Come Sail Away Designer Paper adhered to the right side.
    • A 1/2 x 4 strip of Real Red Cardstock is added under the 2-3/4 x 4-1/2 panel of Whisper White cardstock.
    • The Whisper White panel is stamped with the greeting in Floral Essence in Blueberry Bushel Ink.
    • The large flower was stamped with Real Red and two smaller flowers in Blueberry Bushel Ink on scrap Whisper White.  The centers were stamped with Granny Apple Green.  They were hand-cut and added to the bottom left corner.
    • The leaves were stamped with Granny Apple Green Ink on Granny Apple Green cardstock, then hand-cut and tucked under the flowers.

Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite New In Color

Happy Saturday! It’s time for another Saturday Blog Hop! The challenge this week is “Favorite new In Color” cards.  I went back and forth between Seaside Spray and Purple Posy…but finally settled on Purple Posy for my card.  I wish the ink was available!!!  But, Highland Heather is actually a really nice darker complement to it.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Purple Posy cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • On top a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock was added.
  • A 1-1/4 x 4-1/2 piece of new In Color 6×6 DSP was placed towards the left side.
  • A 1-1/4 x 3-3/4 strip of Mint Macaron was placed towards the bottom.
  • A 1/8 x 4 strip of Silver Glimmer Paper was added across the front.
  • The flower from Floral Essence was stamped four times with Highland Heather Ink on Purple Posy cardstock and punched with the Floral Punch.  They were adhered together, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The centers were stamped with Mint Macaron on Whisper White cardstock and punched with the 1/2 Circle Punch and added to the flowers.
  • The leaves were stamped with Mint Macaron on Whisper White cardstock and punched with the Leaf Punch, then added under the flowers with Mini Glue Dots.
  • The greeting in Floral Essence stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink.

CCMC565 – Floral Essence

Happy Thursday, everyone!  AND…happy birthday to me!!!  Although, truthfully, I’m not counting any more!  lol!  But it’s time for another Create with Connie and Mary Challenge…a gorgeous color challenge this week!

 

Here’s what I came up with using the pretty Floral Essence Bundle…a stamp set and punch!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Highland Heather cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock was embossed with the Basketweave Embossing Folder and adhered to the base card.
  • A The 2-3/4 x 4 panel of Whisper White cardstock was stamped with the greeting from Floral Essence stamp set with Gorgeous Grapefruit Ink.
  • A 1/2 x 4 strip of Gorgeous Grape cardstock was added under the right side.
  • White Baker’s Twine was wrapped around and tied in a bow, then the panel added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The flowers were stamped four times with Gorgeous Grape Ink on Highland Heather cardstock, then punched with the Perennial Flower Punch.  They were adhered together, then added to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The centers were stamped with Daffodil Delight Ink on Whisper White cardstock, then punched with the 1/2 Circle Punch and added to the center of the flowers.
  • The leaves were stamped with Granny Apple Green on Whisper White cardstock and punched with the Leaf Punch, then adhered behind the flowers.

IM72 – Floral Essence

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday photo! Oh my gosh…these cupcakes look SOOOO yummy!  Although I’m not really a chocolate cake fan, they are decorated beautifully!

I had the Floral Essence stamp set out on my desk playing with it (in the NEW catalog!), and thought the flower in it would be perfect to use.  AND…since I’m SOOO sad that Seaside Embossing Folder is going away, I decided to use it one more time!

 

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Soft Suede cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
    • The 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Crumb cake cardstock was embossed with the Seaside Embossing Folder and adhered on top.
    • The flower in Floral Essence stamp set was stamped twice on Mango Melody cardstock, twice on Rococo Rose cardstock (NEW In Color!) and twice on Coastal Cabana cardstock with Soft Suede Ink, then punched with the Perennial Flower Punch.  They were layered together with Mini Glue Dots.
    • The center was stamped once with Mango Melody Ink, Coastal Cabana Ink and Rococo Rose Ink on Whisper White cardstock, then punched with the 1/2 Circle Punch and added to the flowers with Mini Glue Dots.
    • The Adhesive Back Sequins were added to the centers for a little sparkle.
    • The greeting from Floral Essence was stamped with Soft Suede on Whisper White and cut with the Layering Oval Die.  It was added towards the top of the base card and the flowers added below it with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The leaves were stamped with Soft Suede Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and punched with the Leaf Punch (so fun that it goes with the punch, too!)  They were tucked in behind the flowers with Mini Glue Dots.
