CS170 – More than Autumn

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. Our theme for December is Season’s Greetings! Still time to make those Christmas cards!

MORE THAN AUTUMN

This card was fun and easy to make…hardest part was cutting out the six gingerbread men with the little Die! lol!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Real Red cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
A 3 x 4 piece of red polka dot Take a Bow Designer Paper was added across the front with a coordinating 1-1/2 x 4 red stripe DSP added on top of it.
The greeting from Sweetest Star stamp set, stamped in Real Red, was perfect for a “baking” card.
The cookie sheet was cut with the large Something Fancy Die from Smoky Slate cardstock and the two ends bent upwards. It was PERFECT, too! It was added on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Six little gingerbreads from the More Than Autumn stamp set were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White, colored with Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends, and cut with the More Than Autumn Die. They were added to the cookie sheet with Mini Glue Dots.
Some Real Red & White Baker’s Twine was tied in a bow and added to the corner of the baking sheet.
A few Real Red & White Adhesive Backed Peppermints were added to the background!

CS167 – Sweetest Star

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. Our theme for November is Christmas! Time to be thinking about what you will be making for Christmas cards and gifts!

SWEETEST STAR

Here’s a fun, quick card using the Sweetest Star stamp set and punch!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the Sweetest Star greeting in Garden Green Ink in the upper left corner.
A 3 x 4 piece of holly Snowy Scenes Designer Paper was added at the bottom, with a 1/2 x 4 strip of coordinating stripe DSP across the top.
A 2-3/8″ Circle was punched from Real Red cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The gingerbread man was stamped with White Craft Ink and embossed with White Embossing Powder, then punched with the Sweetest Star punch. It was added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two Red & White Peppermints were added for buttons.

IM310 – Sending Cheer

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. We have a holiday gingerbread decorated cake to inspired you!

SENDING CHEER

Stampin’ Up!’s Sending Cheer Bundle is one of my favorites! Although the dies cut as tags, it is SO easy to snip off the tag part and use just the image like I did with the gingerbread man here!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pebbled Path cardstock was embossed with the Snowflake Sky Embossing Folder and added to the front.
- A 2-1/2 x 4 piece of Poppy Parade cardstock was stamped with the two sizes of snowflakes from Beary Cute Stamp Set with White Craft Ink. Let dry.
- The 1-1/4 x 4 piece of Basic White cardstock was cut with the Scalloped Contour Dies and added to the top of the Poppy Parade. It was stamped with the greeting from Sending Cheer in Poppy Parade Ink.
- The gingerbread was stamped with Pecan Pie Ink on Basic White, the face with Memento Black, and cut with the Sending Cheer Dies, the tag at the top was cut off, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A cookie was cut with a 1/2″ circle and stamped with the berry image in Sending Cheer in Early Espresso Ink for the “chocolate chips”. It was added to her hand with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
- The bow was cut from Poppy Parade cardstock with the Sending Cheer Die and adhered with Monoadhesive Glue.
- A trio of Loose Holly Gems & Sequins were added to the background.

IM205 – Frosted Gingerbread

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week we have a batch of fun gingerbread cookies for our inspiration piece! Of course, what set do I need to use? Frosted Gingerbread!

FROSTED GINGERBREAD

This card came together pretty quickly! I’ve had an idea to use the little gingerbread shapes in the Gingerbread and Peppermints Designer Paper, cut them out and arrange them on a card! I’m finally getting around to doing it!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Cinnamon Cider cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 2-1/2 x 5 piece of Old Olive was added to the front.
- The Real Red Mini Ruffled Ribbon was tied around the 2-1/4 x 4 piece of Gingerbreads & Peppermints DSP and was adhered towards the left side on the front.
- The 2-3/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the greeting from Frosted Gingerbread with Cinnamon Cider Ink.
- Four 1-1/4 circles were cut with the Layering Circles Dies from Cinnamon Cider cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ DImensionals.
- Four of the little gingerbread shapes from the Gingerbreads & Peppermints DSP were hand-cut, then added to the circles.
- A Red Rhinestone was added to each of the little gingerbread images.

CCMC427 Candy Cane Christmas

It’s Thursday and time for the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge! It’s a fun sketch for you to try! Play along and upload to your blog or Pinterest or other gallery!

And here’s what I did. Not too much stamping on here! The gingerbread house is cut out of the DSP! You can get a bunch from one sheet! This would be a FAST card to make for your Christmas cards!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Real Red cardstock, folded in half.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock.
The DSP is cut to 2 x 5-1/4, then an angle cut out of it, and adhered to the bottom.
A 1/4 x 5-1/4 coordinating strip of DSP was placed across the bottom.
The house was cut out of the Candy Cane Lane DSP and adhere in the V of the cut with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Candy Cane Christmas Stamp Set was stamped with Real Red Ink on an angle.
Finally, some Real Red Baker’s Twine was tied in a bow and adhered with a Mini Glue Dot.
