Creatively Simple 39 – Happiness Abounds

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…this month it is “FLOWERS”, and we each create a simple card every Tuesday using that theme!

Sometimes I’m just in the mood to color!  I wanted this flower to be a bright, intense red color, so I used the new Sweet Sorbet In Color!

HAPPINESS ABOUNDS

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Sweet Sorbet cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was stamped with the greeting in Sweet Sorbet Ink, then added to the front.
  • A 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Perfectly Penciled Designer Paper was added down the right side.
  • The flower and leaves from Happiness Abounds were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock, then colored with the Sweet Sorbet, Cherry Cobbler, Parakeet Party, and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.  They were cut with the Bloomin’ Happiness Dies and added to the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge!  I love the colors on this tablescape!

HAPPINESS ABOUNDS

I just felt that this flower in Happiness Abounds would give me the feel of the flower on the napkin ring!  And the two circles using the Stylish Shaped Dies under it represent the plate layers!

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Coastal Cabana cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
    • Three 1″ strips of Flowering Fields Designer Paper were placed down the center of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock.  I alternated the top to bottom to give me a more variegated look!
    • The largest Stylish Shapes stitched circle was cut from Basic White and adhered to the front.
    • The next size down was cut from Coastal Cabana cardstock and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The flower and leaves were stamped with Granny Apple Green Ink on Basic White and the flower colored with Soft Seafoam and Parakeet Party Stampin’ Blends.  The center was dotted with Light Old Olive Blends.  The leaves were colored with Old Olive Blends.  All were cut with the Bloomin’ Happiness Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • Best Wishes was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1/2 x 2-1/2 Basic White cardstock and ends cut at an angle.  It was popped up on front at an angle.

Achievers Blog Hop – May 2022

Our Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip Achievers get together each month for a Blog Hop! I’m blessed with great customers and downline who helped me achieve this year’s Incentive Trip Reward and I am happy to have joined the top 1% of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators who have or will earn the Baltic Cruise Incentive Trip for next year!  Our blog hop theme this month is ANYTHING CURRENT!

HAPPINESS ABOUNDS

Next weekend we will honor Memorial Day in the United States, so I thought I’d show off some Red, White and Blue patriotic colors using the Happiness Abounds Bundle.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock, a 1-1/2 x 4 piece of Sweet Sorbet was added to the top and a 1-1/2 x 4 piece of Starry Sky was added to the bottom.  (These new In Colors make perfect patriotic colors!)
  • The background was embossed with the new Cascading Ruffles Embossing Folder (I love the movement this gives the background!)
  • The smaller flowers were stamped with Starry Sky Ink on Starry Sky cardstock.  The larger flower stamped with Starry Sky on Sweet Sorbet cardstock and just the center on Daffodil Delight cardstock.  The leaves were stamped with Parakeet Party Ink on Parakeet Pary cardstock.  All were cut with the Blooming Happiness Dies and assembled on front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting was stamped with Starry Sky on 1/2 x 3-1/2 piece of Basic White cardstock, then cut at an angle and added to the front.

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge!  This week we have a flowery bedspread to inspire us!

PERFECTLY PENCILED DESIGNER PAPER

I really like this bouquet of flowers in the Perfectly Penciled DSP, so decided to cut out one of them for today’s card and color it!

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Fresh Freesia cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
    • Two 1/2 x 4-1/4 pieces of Basic Black cardstock were added to a 3-1/2 x 4-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock, then adhered to the front.
    • The large bouquet of flowers was cut from the Perfectly Penciled DSP.  They were colored with the following Stampin’ Blends: Fresh Freesia Combo, Daffodil Delight Combo, Tahitian Tide Combo, Dark Mint Macaron, Shaded Spruce Combo, and Polished Pink Combo.  It was hand-cut and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The greeting from Happiness Abounds was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Fresh Freesia cardstock and cut with the label from Heron Dies.  It was added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • A trio of Glossy Dots were added to the background.

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge!  This week we have a gorgeous, yummy looking cake!  Wouldn’t this be a treat for your birthday?

HAPPINESS ABOUNDS

The flowers in the Happiness Abounds stamp set just seemed perfect for this challenge!  I tried to duplicate the colors, too!  And the string represents the “dripping” technique on the cake!  lol!

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Flirty Flamingo cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
    • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
    • A 2-1/4 x 5-1/4 piece of Hues of Happiness Designer Paper was added to the left side.
    • The flowers and leaves from Happiness Abounds were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock.  The large flower colored with Melon Mambo Blends and center with Old Olive Blends, the two smaller flowers with Flirty Flamingo Blends, and the rose was highlighted with Light Petal Pink Blends.  The leaves were colored with Old Olive Blends.  All were cut with the Dies.
    • Some White Baker’s Twine was wrapped in a circle several times, then added to the base card with a Stampin’ Dimensional to hold in place.
    • The flowers/leaves were put in place.
    • Happy Birthday was stamped with Old Olive Ink on 1/2 x 3 piece of Basic White and the end trimmed at an angle.  It was popped up with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • A trio of In Color Opal Rounds were added to the background.

CCMC713 – Happiness Abounds

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  This was a really fun sketch to use this week!  I know I’ll be using it again…sooner rather than later!

Here’s another bundle that demos could preorder this month…but in just a few days EVERYONE can order everything from the new catalog!  I can’t wait…what about you?

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Fresh Freesia cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 2-3/4 x 5-1/4 piece of floral from Hue of Happiness Designer Paper was cut and added to the left side.
  • A 1-1/8 x 5-1/4 piece of the reverse striped print in Hue of Happiness DSP was cut and added to the right side, leaving a small gap between.
  • A 1-3/4 x 4-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the Happiness Abounds greeting in Gorgeous Grape Ink.  The bottom was cut with the spiral die in the Blooming Happiness Dies.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A 1/2 x 2-1/2 strip of Gorgeous Grape cardstock was added below the greeting.
  • The rose and leaf branch were stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Light & Dark Fresh Freesia and Light & Dark Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends.  They were cut with the Blooming Happiness Dies and added to the Basic White panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of blue Glossy Dots were added to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite New Accessory

This week’s Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop theme is our Favorite New Accessory from the Annual Catalog!  This could be Designer Paper, Bling, or whatever accessory they wanted to use!  I chose to use the new 2022-24 In Color Glimmer Paper!  Wowzers!  SO much sparkle!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Tahitian Tide cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
  • Three 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 strips of Tahitian Tide, Parakeet Party and Orchid Oasis Glimmer Paper were added to the background.
  • a 1-1/4 x 4 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the greeting from Happiness Abounds in Orchid Oasis Ink.
  • A 1/2 x 4 piece of Tahitian Tide cardstock was cut with the spiral strip die in the Bloomin’ Happiness Dies and adhered under the Basic White along the top.  It was ruffled a little to give it some texture.
  • Two of the flowers from Happiness Abounds stamp set were stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with a sponge dauber and Tahitian Tide Ink.  The two leaves were stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with a sponge dauber and Parakeet Party Ink.  They were cut with the Bloomin’ Happiness Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of In Color Matte Dots were added to the background.

Achievers Blog Hop – April 2022

Our Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip Achievers get together each month for a Blog Hop! I’m blessed with great customers and downline who helped me achieve this year’s Incentive Trip Reward.  I’m very close to earning the next Baltic Cruise one!  Our theme this month is ANYTHING CURRENT!

HAPPINESS ABOUNDS

Here’s another stamp set that will be in the upcoming Annual Catalog that demos were able to preorder early.  It is called Happiness Abounds and has coordinating dies, Blooming Happiness!  It’s just one of those stamp sets that is SO easy to create cards!  I love the coordinating designer paper, Hues of Happiness, too!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is j5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Melon Mambo cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the Happiness Abounds greeting in Night of Navy Ink.
  • A 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 piece of Hues of Happiness DSP was added to the top.
  • A 1/2 x 5-1/4 strip of Melon Mambo cardstock was cut with the long film strip die (does anyone have an official name for this???) and added under the DSP.
  • The flowers and leaves were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with a sponge dauber in Melon Mambo Ink, the roses with the Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends, and the leaves sponged with Parakeet Party Ink (new In Color!)  They were cut with the dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of purple Glossy Dots were added to the center of the largest flower.
