It’s Thursday and time for another Create with Connie and Mary Sketch Challenge from our fabulous Challenge Team! Grab your stamps and play along! Just upload your photo over on Create with Connie and Mary!

And here is my card using the pretty flower set, Painted Petals.

Here are the details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Daffodil Delight, folded in half.
There are three 1/2 x 5-1/2 strips of Blackberry Bliss Backgrounds Designer Paper (In Colors) placed on front.
On the 2-3/4 x 4 piece of Whisper White, the stems were stamped with Old Olive and the blossoms with Blackberry Bliss ink. It was layered on 3 x 4-1/4 piece of Old Olive.
Across the bottom, the lines image was stamped with Daffodil Delight and Thank You with Memento Black ink, both also from Painted Petals stamp set.
A bow of Daffodil Bakers twine was tied and added to the stems with a Mini Glue Dot.

Painted Petals

This is one of the cards we did in Stamp Club last month! I wanted to show off the FABULOUS Irresistibly Yours Designer Paper that is one of the FREE selections of Sale-A-Bration products when you purchase $50 or more! It is a GREAT collection of patterns (stripes, polka dots, vines, florals, fancy fans, etc) and you can make it ANY color by sponging, brayering or rubbing color on it! Or leave it completely white for a fun tone-on-tone look!

For my card, I paired it with Wisteria Wonder and Pear Pizzazz and used the stripe pattern and the floral pattern.

Here are the details:

The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Pear Pizzazz, folded in half.
The 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Wisteria Wonder was embossed with the Spring Folder.
The floral print in Irresistibly Yours DSP was cut 1 1/2 x 5 1/4 and sponged with the Wisteria Wonder Ink, then adhered down the left side.
The stripe print in Irresistibly Yours DSP was cut 3/4 x 4 and sponged with Pool Party Ink, then adhered across the bottom front.
A large circle was cut with the Circle Framelit, then stamped with Painted Petals in Wisteria Wonder and Pear Pizzazz Inks. A So Saffron Stampin’ Write Marker was used in the centers.
You are Amazingly Amazing from Painted Petals Stamp Set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on the circle, too. Then the circle was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals!
Finally, the Pool Party Thick Twine was tied in a bow and added to the front with Mini Glue Dots!

This card was my Control Freaks card for the Occasions Catalog swap! I couldn’t wait to play with the Painted Petals set and this was the first card I made with it!

Here are the details for you:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Whisper White folded in half.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pool Party was embossed with the Spring Flowers folder.
Across the front is a 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of the green stripe pattern in the Painted Blooms Designer Paper.
Whisper White was cut from the third from smallest Oval Framelit. Using the Painted Petals Stamp Set, the trio of flowers were stamped with Pool Party, the leaves from Pear Pizzazz, the dots with So Saffron and the greeting in Tuxedo Black Ink.
Pearls were colored with the Daffodil Delight Blendabilities Markers and placed in the center of the flowers.
A bow was tied with the Wild Wasabi Thick Twine and added under the greeting with a Mini Glue Dot.

Week 3 Blog Hop: Painted Petals Favor

WOOHOO! It’s Saturday and over on Create with Connie and Mary Spring Collection 2015 we are showing off the sets we used this past week with a BLOG HOP!!! You probably have just come from Deb Currier’s blog…love her little favor, don’t you? Before you take the tour, here is some information about our Spring Collection 2015 session:

We are just finishing up Week 3 on our Create with Connie and Mary Spring Collection 2015! This week was Card “Create”tions Week…sets of four cards using different stamp sets in the Occasions Catalog…a very popular week! I used Stampin’ Up!’s stamp set, Painted Petals, for my card set this week that subscribers saw this past Thursday! So, I’ve made a little favor you can make to go along with the card set for your class or gift!

Slip off the belly band and open it up to store your little treat!

I know you are going to want measurements, right? Here you go!

The base is 3 1/2 x 11 Pistachio Pudding, scored at 3-3/4, 4-1/4, and 8-1/4, fold all scorelines inside towards the center.
Emboss the front panel (closest two the double score lines) with Spring Flowers folder.
On the edge closest to the single score line, push the Word Window punch in as far as it will go and punch the width needed for your treat.
Place a piece of Sticky Strip on that same end, place your treat, then press the Sticky Strip flap down to hold it in place.
On the front, add a 3-1/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Something Borrowed Designer Paper.
For the belly band, cut a 1 x 11 piece of Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock. Score at 5-1/4 and 5-3/4, wrap around base. Add Sahara Sand Lace to bottom of front piece.
Pierce a hole on the open ends and place a Candy Dot Brad Base. Add green Subtles Candy Dot to center. Trim ends with a flag cut.
Cut second from smallest Oval with Oval Framelits from Whisper White cardstock. Stamp Thank You in Tuxedo Black Ink, the stems with Pistachio Pudding, the flowers with Crisp Cantaloupe and the dotted line with Calypso Coral. Sponge around edges with Pistachio Pudding Ink. Add to Belly Band with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Tie a Coastal Cabana bow and add to stems with Mini Glue Dot.

Day 5 PREVIEW: Painted Petals

Today is DAY FIVE of PREVIEW WEEK over on Create with Connie and Mary! We will be starting our Spring Collection 2015 next week and can’t wait to get started! I’m using Painted Petals again! The center of this card actually started out as one of my swap card prototypes, but I went in a different direction for my Control Freaks swap (I’ll post it later). I actually wasn’t going to show this card, because it bugs me when I look at it…can you tell why? I may tear it apart and re-do it at another time and then show you the makeover! lol!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Whisper White, folded in half.
On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Painted Blooms Designer Paper.
The Pool Party cardstock was cut with the Label Framelit and then embossed with the Spring Folder. Two strands of Wild Wasabi Thick Twine were wrapped across the front and secured in the back.
The Whisper White cardstock was cut with the smaller Label Framelit, then stamped with Painted Petals stamp set in Soft Sky, Wild Wasabi and So Saffron inks. The greeting was stamped with Chocolate Chip. It was placed on the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A bow was made with the Thick Twine and added with a Mini Glue Dot.

Another favorite set of mine in the Occasions Catalog is Painted Petals. I love the small blossoms and soft lines on the images. Here’s a quick card I put together using it!

The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Coastal Cabana cardstock, folded in half.
On the 3 3/4 x 5 layer of Pool Party, I stamped the trio of flowers diagonally with Coastal Cabana Ink.
On the 2 x 4 1/4 strip of Whisper White, I stamped the stems with Mossy Meadow Ink and the tops with Strawberry Slush Ink. The greeting was stamped with Tuxedo Black Ink, then the row of dots is Coastal Cabana again.
I thought it still needed a little “sumthin’ sumthin'”, so I tied a bow in the Coastal Cabana Thick Twine and added it to the flower stems with Mini Glue Dots.
