Stampin' Up! has an amazing Demonstrator Support team! Every time you call in with a question or problem, they are on hand to help graciously! The demos have gotten together to show our LOVE by taking this week to show our appreciation! Here's my card for #weloveDS Appreciation Week! So THANKS SO MUCH Demonstrator Support!!!

I borrowed the general layout for this card from Deb Currier, but switched out the stamps and colors. I had the little flowers from Stampin' Up!'s Peaceful Petals already made and sitting on my desk, and they worked perfectly for the look I wanted to achieve!

The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Strawberry Slush cardstock, folded in half.
I added a 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Soft Sky cardstock.
On the 4×4 panel of Sahara Sand, I stamped the Hardwood background stamp with Sahara Sand ink. It is layered on a 4 x 4 1/4 piece of Basic Black cardstock and placed on the front.
I punched a 2 1/2" Circle from Shimmer White and pierced holes around it with the template. I stamped Thank You So Much from Lots of Thanks stamp set with Black Stazon and added to the front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
I stamped the flowers and leaves from Peaceful Petals in Black Stazon on Shimmer White and watercolored with Strawberry Slush, Wild Wasabi, Garden Green and Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Markers, then cut them out and adhered on the front.
Finally, I cut a couple 3/4" strips of Basic Black and Strawberry Slush and tucked them under the circle.

I'm happy with how mine turned out!

It's time for the Tour de Freaks, brought to you by the Control Freak Swappers! We have a mish mash of projects for you this month as we could use ANY current item we wanted! WOOHOO!!! You've probably just come from my friend Mary Brown's blog...weren't her projects FUN! I always love what Mary does! Make sure you go around to all the stops…it will bring you back here!

I had fun making this project and took my colors from the Kaleidoscope Designer Paper. It's a portfolio and matching card…but the surprise is INSIDE the portfolio and the closure! I used Peaceful Petals from the Occasions catalog in both the background and as cut-out flowers, adding the Petite Petals center of Crushed Curry, Bermuda Bay Itty Bitty Flower Punch and a Rhinestone jewel for a little bling.

Did you see? I used the Scallop Tag Topper Punch for the closure on my portfolio! It slips under the double band of Bermuda Bay to secure. I also used the Word Bubble Framelits with the word Hello from Four You stamp set.

And here is it open!

Isn't it fun? I found this Word Bubble notepads at the M**** Craft Store! I LOVE them and grabbed a few different shapes!

And, of course, I decided to make a coordinating card. Wouldn't this combination be a great gift for someone???

Peaceful Petals

Another pretty flower stamp set in the Occasions Catalog! I was excited to see some outline images that could be colored, or stamped on colored cardstock! Every once in a while I do like to color! On this one, I did both! And…don't you LOVE that new On Film Framelit? It embosses around the edges, too! This card has lots of texture.

Here are the details:

The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Tangerine Tango cardstock, folded in half.
I embossed the 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Whisper White with the Woodgrain Embossing Folder.
The On File Framelit was cut from Baked Brown Sugar cardstock and placed on the front.
I measured the inside of the frame and then cut another piece of Whisper White that was 1/4" smaller (I think 2 3/4 x 2 3/4?) I stamped the greeting from Peaceful Petals with Baked Brown Sugar in the upper right corner.
The flower was stamped twice on Crushed Curry with Black Stazon, then I used my AquaPainter and added Tangerine Tango ink around it. I cut out one full flower and just the center of the other.
The leaves were stamped with Black Stazon on Garden Green carstock, cut out, and more Garden Green ink added with the AquaPainter.
In the center of the flower, I added a small orange designer button tied with White Bakers Twine.
The entire flower was popped up on the front with Stampin' Dimensionals.
I added some EXTRA sparkle with some of the Gold Sequins cut from the trim…fun!!!

Wow…it's time for the December Tour de Freaks! This month's theme is using products from the Occasions Mini Catalog! I know we are all anxious to move on from making holiday cards! You've probably just come from Wendy Weixler's blog...weren't her projects fabulous? Make sure you continue on around the entire tour…we're SMALL but MIGHTY this month!

I'm showing off Stampin' Up!'s stamp set, Peaceful Petals, from the new Occasions Mini. It will be available beginning January 3, 2014! I made a card and matching calendar…mainly because I need a new calendar for my Studio! lol!

Here's a closeup of the calendar. The base is a 4 1/4 x 11 sized card, folded in half. Then I added a scored piece in the center to help it stand up. That is 4 1/4 x 5, scored with the 5" along the top at 1, 2 1/2, and 4 and adhered the flaps inside.

Here is the back side that I decorated, too. I used the new Watercolor Wonder Designer Paper.

And, of course, the matching card. The flowers and leaves are watercolored with Stampin' Write Markers and an AquaPainter. I added a pearl to the center of the flowers.

Doesn't it just say SPRING to you?
